Chapter 28
Andrea's pov

I felt something pecking my head. At first I thought something must have fallen but it happened again. And again. And again. Until I finally opened my eyes to see that it was a...

"Cockadoodledoo." The chicken screeched.

Wait a minute. Not a chicken. A rooster. WTF, there is a rooster pecking my head. A fucking rooster. I swear the last time I saw a rooster was at the farm in grade 3.

"Get that thing away from me." I screamed but all that seemed to do was attract the rooster instead of scaring it away.

"Zach, wake the fuck up and get rid of that thing." I smack him on the head lightly.

He wakes up and rubs his eyes a couple of times before realising that there was a rooster there.

"Andrea, chill, it's just a rooster." He pet the animal like it was a dog.

One thing I forgot to told you was that on that grade 3 trip the rooster bit my finger.

"Zach I swear to God, if you don't get rid of that..that....thing I will cut your ball sack off." I attempt to threaten him but Zach being Zach manages to find a way to turn everything into a sex-related innuendo.

"You won't once you see it." He smirks but frowns after I throw a small pebble at him.

"Wait, Zach. Where are we?" I ask him looking around to see nothing but trees.

"I think we must've fallen asleep here after talking." He reminds me of last night.

"Zach, what happened last night. I'm just missing a few things." I ask hoping that what I thought was really a dream and not actual reality.

"Well...urmm...I told you about Rose and you told me about..." He trails off.

"What did I tell you?" I ask but there was no answer.

"Zach. What did I tell you?" I ask once more in a more demanding tone.

"Your dad. You told me about your dad, Andrea." He finally speaks.

"He is not my dad and he never will be my dad." I control the urge to cry and hold back my tears.

"Look, Andrea, if you need anyone to talk to you know I'm here, right?" He says.

"Its gone." I reply.

"Huh." He gives me a confused look.

"The rooster. It's gone. We should head back to your house, your family must be worried." I say climbing down the stairs of the treehouse.

"Andrea..." he starts to form a sentence before I cut him off by placing my hand on his mouth.

"Especially Rose. She must be worried sick. We really should get going." I say before walking off.

"If you think about licking my hand I actually will cut off your ball sack." I threaten him.

We walked to the house the entire way with my hand covering Zach's mouth.

When we reached the house I entered it, finally letting go of my hand. Once we entered we saw that everyone was sat at the table enjoying some pancakes.

"Nice of you guys to join us." His Aunt said.

"And you said they were worried." Zach says before walking into the room and sitting down as he shoved a pancake in his mouth.

"I'm sorry you have to see my grandson like this." Abuela looks at me. "Stop eating like a cerdo, Zach." She smacks him on the head.

"I don't think she minds Abuela. You should see her eat." He winks at me.

"Did I not teach you to treat women with respect, you puta?" She smacks him again before turning to me.

"Well don't just stand there dear. Come and sit." She pats the seat situated between her and Zach.

"I'm sure I raised him better." She places some pancakes in my plate before pouring it with syrup.

On the table was me, Zach, Abuela, Abuelo, Rose, Sebastiàn and Zach's aunt Ximena.

"So, where did you two go? Did you use protection?" Sebastiàn asks pointing at the pair of us.

"Sebastiàn." His mother Ximena screams.

"Protection for what?" Rose asks.

At her age I thought she would know since you do do Sex Ed in middle school but seeing as she couldn't leave the house I doubt her family willingly told her about contraception and sex.

"Protection from Zach's stinky breath." She laughs holding her nose as we laugh together.

I look around the table to realise that Kaitlin wasn't here. As much as I didn't want her to be here I kind of wanted to know where she was.

"Where's Kaitlin?" I ask

"She's at her house, silly." Abuela says.

How stupid can you be Andy? Of course she's going to be at her house, where she lives and sleeps.

"Oh." Was all that left my mouth.

"Anyways, get ready. I want to take you somewhere today." Zach says snatching my attention.

"Ver are we foing?" I say with my mouth half full.

"Fowwy." I apologise.

"Told you." Zach says as he place show plate in the sink.

"We are going to OWA!" Zach says causing Rose's eyes to pop.

"Rose, you can come. I really want you to come but.. we don't even have to go if you want. " Zach trails off.

"Are you dumb. Of course I want you to go. Anyways who would miss the chance to see you crying on a rolercoaster." She genuinely smiles then looks at me. "Make sure you get a video of him crying." She smiles again.

"I will." I reply.

How could she be so happy? Her smile is so mesmerising. Now I know why Zach adores his sister so much. She is so happy even though she's got this condition that prevents her from living half of her life. I can just see her smile beaming. I wish I was that happy.

As we get up to clean the table, someone walks in through the front door.

"Hello everyone." She says until her eyes land on me. "Oh, you're still here." She scowls at me.

I ignore her presence and grab my phone.

"Hey Zach. I'm just going to quickly get changed." I say before head on upstairs.

I walk into the room where my duffle bag was and close the door. I reach into my bag and grab a crop hoodie, some ripped jeans, a flannel to tie around my waist and my puma trainers.

I quickly change before placing my other clothes in the duffle bag and as I was going to rapidly jog down the stairs Zach enters the room with his eyes covered.

"You're decent right?" He asks.

"Yes, I'm decent." I laugh zipping up my duffle bag.

"How long do you take?" He says then looks at me.

"Don't worry, it was worth it." He smirks at me grabbing his keys.

As I was about to leave the room Zach grabs my hand stopping me from taking any more steps.

"What Zach? We're going to be late." I say to him.

"I want to talk to you about last night." He bluntly speaks.

"But I don't. Please Zach I just want to erase it from my mind." I say to him.

I could feel my tears swelling up and I really didn't want to break down in front of him.

"Sit down." He closes the door and pats the seat next to him on the bed.

"Zach Please." I beg him and I don't think he had ever seen me like this. I dont think he had seen me weak.

"Andrea, you know you can trust me with your life. I just want you to clear your mind and be happy." He says.

I decide to tell him something that I didn't tell him last night which probably would affect him.

"Zach?" I open my mouth.

"Yes Andrea." He answers.

"You know why I didn't like it when anyone called me Andrea. And why I only let people call me Andy?" I ask.

"No. And you don't have to tell me." He pulls me closer.

"But I want to." I shuffle closer to him. "It was him. He was the only one who used to call me Andrea. No one else but him. Now when anyone calls me that all I'm reminded of is him." I say.

"Andrea..I mean Andy. I'm so sorry, I didn't know." I could see the regret in his eyes.

"You don't need to be. I know that you wont ever hurt me. You won't be like him and I'm okay with that." A tear falls from my eye.

"You were never like this." He says.

"What do you mean?" I say but I think I knew what he was hinting at.

"Let alone a tomboy, you used to be a bad ass. I remember in middle school, you set the prnciples car on fire. You used to skip school nearly every day. Not that I'm not happy you changed but, why did you? Why did you change?" He asks as I lift my head.

"After he left I knew that my Mum needed someone. I couldn't add onto her list of problems with meetings with the principle and me being suspended or expelled so I had to be someone else. And personally I think this is who Andrea is. A little bit of both." I say.

Before he could reply, Kaitlin walked into the room.

"What's going on guys?" She asks.

"Nothing. Me and Andy.." He says.

"Andrea." I correct him.

"But I thought your name was Andy." Kaitlin asks.

"Only Zach calls me Andrea." I speak up and wipe away the tears so she couldn't see them.

"Anyways Me and Andrea were just getting ready." He says as we all go downstairs.

Zach and I grab our essential items and begin to head out until Kaitlin interupts is again.

"Wait, babe where are you going?" Kaitlin asks and places her hands on his chest.

"I was hoping to take Andrea to OWA." He replys.

"The new amusement park?" She asks causing Zach to nod. "You mind if I come?" She looks at him.

"I'm sorry Kaitlin, I only bought two tickets. Maybe next time." He kissed her head before we both leave.

We sit in the car and I wait for the conversation to begin but he doesn't speak and instead focuses on the road.

"You guys close?" I try to start the conversation.

"Hm?" He looks at me confused.

"You and Kaitlin. You guys close?" I was silently praying for him to say no.

"Of course. I've known her my entire life. I love her." He smiles at me.

"You love her?" I ask.

"Yeah. As a sister, like I love Rose." He explains.

"Well I think you should tell Kaitlin that." I mumble to myself but unfortunately he heard me.

"What do you mean by that?" He asks me as he increases the speed and we move faster on the empty road.

"Nothing." I answer.

"No, you meant something." He stops the car. "We aren't moving until you tell me what you meant by saying that." He sits there.

"Fine." I say and remain seated as I put my headphones on.

Obviously I thought he would carry on driving but now a half hour had passed and he was still sitting there scrolling through his instagram feed.

Wait. Did I just see that he has 957 likes on a single post. I actually don't know why I'm complaining because even I get around that many likes. But this is Zach we're talking about. I didn't even think he had instagram.

I grabbed his phone to check his profile.

"How?" I say.

"What can I say. The ladies love me." I winks at me. "And I don't know what you're talking about, you had 936 likes on your recent post." He grabs his phone claiming it.

"But this is you we're talking about. The only friends you have are Ethan, me, Mia and Savannah." I say. "And out of us the only one that likes you is Ethan." I mock him.

"So, are you ready to tell me what you meant, because OWA closes in a few hours." he smirks.

"It's nothing. Kaitlin just warned me to stay away from you. I don't blame her. She's perfect for you and she told me that you guys were meant to get together last summer." I say honestly.

"That's all you had to say." He starts the engine once again and gets back onto the main road.

"So, is it true?" I couldn't help but ask.

"Kind of. I liked her before I came back to Phili and now I guess there's been a turn of events. All you need to know Andrea is that I'm single as a Pringle." He winks once again.

"Good." I accidently say out loud.

"Aww. Does Andrea have a little crush? It doesn't matter..." He tries to tease me but I intervene.

"Do you want to return home ballless?" I ask.

"No Maam." He salutes me.

"Then carry on driving." Was the last thing I said before silence settled in.

We continued to drive for another 20 minutes until we were greeted with something that looked like the London bridge.

"Here we are." Zach stated as we step out of the car.

"Wow!" I exclaim.

It looked beautiful. Although it was small, everything just looked so amazing. You could see the fountains, the rides; the Ferris wheel.

"I am so happy that I told you what Kaitlin said." My eyes light up looking at the rides.

"Come on then, what are you waiting for? Let's go." I grab his hand and drag him inside.

"Please Andrea. Please, I really don't want to." He begs me.

Never did I think that Zach Cowen was scared of rides. Never. Not once.

"Come on. Stop being a scary cat and just go on the ride." I say and pull him in line.

So far we had been on the Ferris wheel, a few water rides and a rollercoaster which wasn't at all scary.

Zach had also won me a teddy bear but I was going to give this to Rose seeing as I didn't need it and it would be better if she had it.

"Please." I pour at him.

"You know I don't like it when you pout." He sighs.

"Why? Does it turn you on?" I whisper in his ear.

"If you continue like this then I'm telling you Andrea in a minute I won't be riding the rollercoaster but I'd be riding you." He smirks.

"Stop being a creep and just get in line." I pull him in the line.

We stand for a couple of minutes and we continue to argue over whether prison brreak was better or lost. I was saying prison break and Zach was saying lost. That was until a woman next to me pats me on the shoulder.

"Hey, I didn't want to interrupt you guys or anything but I just wanted to ask something. When did you know that he was the one?" She asks me.

Crazy woman say what now?

"It's just that I saw your ring and by the looks of it you guys look like a couple. I just wanted to ask when did you know you were ready to take that next step?" She asks.

She must be talking about the ring that 'he' gave me. Although I hate him I still do wear it.

"Were actually not enga..." I say.

"Were married." Zach interrupts me again. How many times is he going to interrupt me today?

"For me I just knew. I looked into her eyes and for me that was it." He holds back his laughter. How cliche could he get?

The line was getting shorter and shorter and it was now our turn.

"I'm sorry but we've got to go." I gesture at the rollercoaster.

"No problem." She thanks me.

I decided that Zach needed some payback so I made a small little plan in my head.

"Let me just give this to the ride attendant." I pick the bear up and walk to the ride attendant sat in the box.

"Hey...Mark." I say looking at his badge.

"Yes?" He answers.

"I was wondering if you could play a little "your seatbelts loose" prank on my friend for 5 bucks?" I ask.

"Sure. What seat are they in?" He asks.

"E6" I say.

"No worries." He answers and I was about to head back until I forgot about the bear.

"Oh and could you look after this for me? I told him I came here to give you this." I smirk.

"You are one coniving girl." He smiles at me and takes the bear.

I walk over to my seat which was E7 and I place the seatbelt on.

Mark came around to check everyone's seatbelts and then stopped at Zach's.

"Excuse me sir, your seatbelt is a little loose. You could fall out." He says as I resist the urge to laugh.

"E6 is a little loose." He announces and walks back to the box with the controller in it.

Zach continued to pull on his seatbelt until suddenly the ride starts and we are zooming in the air.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAH. I'M GOING TO DIE. ANDREA I'M GOING TO DIE. I'M GOING TO DIE." He screams the same thing over and over until the ride ends.

The ride finally ended and once we removed our seatbelts we both went to Mark who was sitting in the box with the control system inside.

"I am going to sue you." Zach screams.

"Thanks Mark." I say as I pull out a 5 dollar bill and hand it to him as he hands me the teddy bear.

"Pleasure doing buisness with you." He says and Zach shakes his head from side to side.

"Andrea?" He says.

"Hmm." I him at him as we walk to another ride.

"Run!" he warns me with a smirk and begins to chase after me.

"Oh shit." I say before sprinting as fast as I could.

A/N

How did you guys like the chapter? Anyways just recently I started to watch Grey's Anatomy and I'm literally obsessed now. I've been putting it off for a year now saying that I didn't want to watch it but because I've been running out of things to watch I finally watched it. Because I have literally watched every single tv series out there, just ask my friends. If you comment a t.v. series I am pretty sure ive watched it. As I was saying, I just started it last week and I'm already on season 4.
