I woke up feeling... happy? That's not normal.

Today's Wednesday and I think I'm going to call off at work. I don't know why but I just don't feel like going.

I get showered then get dressed. Today I'm wearing a black crop top hoodie with skinny jeans and white converse. I pull my hair up in a high ponytail and grab my stuff.

My mood slightly falters when I remember about my bracelet and then remember last night. Yeah, some talk we had. Does he really think that I believe he's sorry? I already know he's probably gonna out me to the whole school.

I go downstairs and grab an apple. I head to my car and off to school I go. I'm gonna have to get all buddy-buddy with Noah if I really want my bracelet back, which trust me I do.

When I get to school, the bells close to ringing so I speed walk to my locker. While digging in my locker someone walking by runs their finger on the exposed part of my back. I turn around and see Noah smirking at me while walking off.

He's just trying to get on my nerves. UGH! And it's working!

Some of the day goes by and now we're about to go to lunch. All through this period he's been finding excuses to get up and he purposely walks by me and 'accidentally' touches my hair. Then on the way back to his seat he'd smirk and do it again.

He sits at the very back and I sit three rows in front of him. How more obvious can he get?

The bell finally rings and I get out before Noah. I get to my locker and stuff my things in slowly waiting for Courtney and Adam to show up.

"Hey" I can tell it's Courtney.

"Hey, ready?" I ask. She nods and Adam and her lead the way to lunch. On the way there Adam slows down to get beside me.

He leans closer to me. "I saw what happened this morning and in class" he whispers. We both know good and well if Courtney was to hear she'd make a big scene and never let this go.

"He has my bracelet and is in some way blackmailing me" I whisper back. I meant it as making me do what he wants but Adam took it the wrong way.

He stops abruptly and pulls on my arm making me stop. "Y'all aren't doing...?" He trails off.

"NO! God no! He's just making me do stuff for him until he thinks it's alright to give it back" We continue to walk. "I don't really know what he has planned. He kept doing that stuff to get on my nerves because I can't do anything about it or he won't give it back"

"Oh thank God" he blows out a breath. We enter the cafeteria and Courtney is looking at us from the line and waving us over. We get over there and get our food.

Once we sit down we're all just silent as we eat. It wasn't an awkward silence but it wasn't comfortable either.

"Okay guys spill, I know you're hiding something from me," Courtney says. How does she do that? Adam and I just look at each other and I shake my head at him telling him not to speak.

"Okay, Noah is blackmailing me" I tell her the main problem. She looks at me not believing she's heard the whole truth.

"Well okay, why'd you keep it from me, it's not a big deal" She says and I know she knows there's more but I'm not telling her, at least not right now.

"We just thought you'd freak out and make it a huge deal, that's all" Adam says covering me, I wouldn't have been able to hold her intense gaze for long.

"Okay" she goes back to her food and I look at Adam feeling relieved. "Don't forget you're coming with me to the cafe, you promised" Oh crap, I totally forgot.

"Oh yeah speaking of, I'm not going to work today so we can hang out if you'd like" I swear turning to look at her made me regret even saying that sentence. She looks like her smile is about to gobble her face up and her eyes are about to pop out of her face.

"Omg yes!!" she yelled. See, she overreacts about the smallest and stupidest things I swear.

The rest of the day passed. The same as usual happened, except there was Noah still touching me every chance he got. He didn't show up at the bookshelf though which was a good thing.

Now we're in the car. We just dropped off Adam and are now on our way to the cafe. When we get inside I see a few people from school. We walk up to the counter, Courtney's face brightening up.

"How can I help- what do you want?" The guy at the counter asked. I guess he was here when she worked here by the looks of it.

"I was wondering if I could-"

"No" He said with a stern voice and an irritated expression.

"But I've ma-"

"I said no okay, what part of no do you not understand? N-O, NO" Courtneys face slumps and I can't help but feel bad for her.

"Sir if I were you I would take it easy. We don't want the manager getting called out here and told that one of his employees is making a customer cry now do we?" I asked him nonchalantly, looking at my nails. I need to get them done.

He looks at me with irritated eyes. "But last time she nearly burnt the place down!" He almost yells. I smirk and put my hands on the counter leaning over it.

"How about you try that again?" I ask him. He doesn't seem to get the hint and huffs.

"I can't let-"

"Excuse me, Manager!" I stand up straight and yell over his shoulder. HIs eyes go a little wide and then a guy appears from the back.

He looks at me then Courtney and then to that guy. "Yes ma'am? Is there a problem?" He asks putting the rag he was holding in his back pocket.

"Yes actually. This man right here is yelling at us and it's making my friend upset. I don't like the way he is treating us, customers. All she was doing was trying to ask a simple question and he was interrupting her and started yelling at us."

The manager looked over at Courtney and she nodded her head, letting him know it was true. I looked at the guy and I swear it looked like he was about to cry himself. I had to hold back a laugh.

The manager then looked at the guy (which now is when I realize the name tag on his shirt, Marco) and I can tell he's trying to keep his cool while at the front.

"Get to my office, now" He spat at Marco. Marco basically runs off and the manager turns back to us. "I am so sorry about that! I am surely going to fire him when I get back there. What did you two lovely ladies need?" He asks.

"My friend here was looking to get a job," I told him. Courtney straightens up and nods.

"Alrighty" He bends down to grab something then comes back up with a paper and pen. "Just fill this out and we'll see where it goes from there," He said cheerily.

"Thank you" Courtney said taking the paper and pen. She heads off to a table and I order us some ice cream.

When I get the ice cream is when I actually turn around and notice literally everyone staring at me. One person, in particular, stands out from the others. I hadn't realized he had been here. And he witnessed everything that just happened.

I never show out in public. The one time I did, Noah, out of all people, had to see it.
