"Julian" I called out. Julian turned around running up to me, taking a seat.

"Find out everything you can about Tobias Smith" I said. Julian was the best at this. He nodded getting up and leaving. There was something majorly off about that guy and right now, I just needed a reason to re-design his face. A few minutes later, Julian walked back into the room.

"Tobias is an 18 year old senior, attending the same high-school as you. He moved to this town 4 years ago along with his father." Julian informed taking a seat, when I asked him to.

"Why?" I questioned raising my eyebrows. Julian scanned the papers he was holding before answering.

"His father married a woman from this town. Although she died, the same year from cancer. He also has a step-sister, Olivia Greene." he finished. I nodded, processing all the information given.

"Oh, and also. He's been imprisoned previously, for domestic violence. He used to beat his girlfriend." I knew it. Of-course he was an abuser. I had only met Olivia two days ago, yet I could already see the signs of abuse. I just needed proof. She wasn't willing to tell me, so I had to find out myself.

"Why the sudden interest, though?" Julian asked stretching his legs out.

"No reason" I wasn't a saint. I didn't go around helping girls in distress. But when it came to abuse, it touched me personally.

"You hardly ever smile, you should smile more" I heard Julian say suddenly after a while. I used my middle fingers and pushed up the sides of my mouth in an exaggerated way – effectively giving him a double bird.

"Well, fine. I was just trying to help." Julian muttered under his breathe, as he tried not to laugh making me roll my eyes.

"Anyway, the lot of us are heading out tonight. You in?" Julian asked as he got up, heading towards to the door after I replied with a curt nod.

Walking down the school hallway, everyone parted for me. I looked straight ahead ignoring the stares. They were scared. All of them. Afraid I would do something to them. And if I got angry, maybe I would.

I glanced around the hallway and my eyes cast on Olivia. She had her head down as she moved swiftly through the crowd, but I could still make out the slight limp. I sighed, proceeding to my English literature class. It was a class I shared with Olivia. When I got there, the class was already partially full which immediately fell into a hush as they watched my every move.

Olivia was sitting at the back, as usual. I pulled out the seat next to her and sat down ignoring the flash of surprise that lit her face. She didn't say anything and just went back to staring at the table. Everyone else in the room, stared on in shock. I sent a glare their way to which they immediately looked away.

"I know what's going on" I started, looking at her for any reaction. I noticed the subtle fear in her eyes, before in disappeared just as fast as it came. Olivia didn't bother looking up, not until the teacher walked in. She ignored me for the rest of the duration and I didn't bother making conversation either.

I didn't have anymore classes with Olivia, but I made sure that her arse of a brother didn't bother her in any way. I waited till the bell that signalled the end of the day had rung, before I went searching for Olivia. When I found her, she was placing a few books in her locker.

"You're coming with me" was all I said as I got hold of her arm, pulling her along, making sure I wasn't going to hurt her in any way. When I saw her flinch harshly, I let go of her.

"I'm not going to hurt you" that was rich coming from me. The only thing I was known for, was being violent.

"Wait, please." I froze when I heard the desperation in her voice. Olivia just stood in front of me, physically shaking.

"You okay?" I questioned looking her up and down.

"I need to go" she whispered brushing past me. I followed behind her until we fell in step. I didn't say anything but just assessed. She was still limping. If you could call it that, it was more of a slight waddle. My eyebrows scrunched as I looked at her face. I then looked around the hallway and saw everyone staring. These people couldn't mind their own business, even if they tried.

"You're coming with me." I said once again and before she could say anything, I added, "I wasn't asking". She shook her head frantically, trying to walk away from me once we got outside. I walked straight after her, blocking her way.

"Like I said, I know what's going on. At least, I think I do." she finally looked at me in the eye.

"You don't know anything." she choked, scanning the school car park.

"I know enough. I'm not giving you a choice. You're coming with me" when I went to grab her arm again, she flinched slightly hiding it behind her back. So, she didn't like being touched. Noted.

"I promise you, I won't hurt you" I promised again.

"I know a lot of people, who break all their promises" I heard her whisper. I stepped forward, holding onto her arm softly, pulling her behind me. When I heard a small gasp, I stopped, spinning around to face her.

"What's wrong?" I asked but she didn't reply. There was definitely something wrong.

"What'd he do?" Olivia's head shot up wide eyed, she slowly swallowed shaking her head.

"Is it your ankle?" she shook her head.

"Knee?" another shake.

"Hip?" still a no. My fists clenched when I pieced everything together. I cleared my throat, facing Olivia. She didn't look at me, as if she was embarrassed. I wasn't an emotional person, but at that moment my heart clenched for this girl. My heart started to beat faster and I clenched my fists against my sides, not wanting to scare her.

"How long has it been going on?" she looked so scared. She stared on for a second before finally answering.

"Since my mom died." She muttered. I didn't ask her anything more, she was clearly a girl of few words.

"Olivia" a voice yelled from behind us. I looked over Olivia's shoulder and saw Tobias walking towards us. Just looking at the bastards' face, reminded me of what he had done, and my fists itched to meet his face. Looking down at Olivia, I noticed she had started shaking again.

"Listen, It's okay to feel scared. But don't let that fear overpower your mind and take control." she didn't reply and only waited for Tobias to get to us.

"What are you doing here?" Tobias asked looking between Olivia and I.

"What's it to you?" I stepped in-front of Olivia, sizing Tobias up. I was a good few inches taller than him.

"Olivia. Get in the car. Now." Tobias ordered glaring at Olivia. Olivia looked at me from the corner of her eye before making her way around me.

"She's not going anywhere" I glared at Tobias, who shrunk back.

"I can call the cops on you" he threatened.

"And say what?" I scoffed. Olivia stood between us, conflicted.

"That you've kidnapped my sister" he stuck his nose up proudly.

"It's not called kidnapping if she comes willingly. And she's fucking 18 for Gods sake, she can do whatever the hell she wants, without your permission." Tobias glared down at Olivia once again, grabbing her forearm.

"You're coming home, right now" Olivia nodded frantically.

"You're starting to really piss me off" I gritted, clenching my fists. From the corner of my eye, I saw Michelle run up to Tobias pulling him back.

"Toby, back down. You're gonna get yourself hurt." Michelle pleaded. Tobias glared at me for a second longer, before walking away with Michelle.

"You're making everything worse" Olivia said her gaze following Tobias's retreating back.

"If I let you leave with him today, there would have been no difference between me and him" Olivia looked up at me for a second before sighing and looking away.

"them" she whispered. "There would have been no difference between you and them."

"Of-course, your step-father" she looked up at me in question, but didn't say anything. I retrieved my car keys from my pocket, unlocking the car doors.

"Get in, there's just something I have to do" Olivia didn't question me and followed me when I opened the door for her to sit in. I looked around the car park once again, and spotted Tobias and his friends hanging around the entrance of the school. Rolling my head, I strode towards him. He looked up in my direction, brows furrowed, but before he could do anything. My fist connected with his nose, a crack echoing around us. Tobias hunched over, holding his nose while his friends stared at me in disbelief.

"If you dare, touch her again. You're going to face the worst of me, you sick bastard." With that I turned around and headed straight for the car. I ignored Olivia's shock stricken face, once I got in and just proceeded to drive.

The son of a bitch deserved it.
