"Emilia?" My dad called.

I hadn't spoke to him since the wedding, which wasn't the longest we'd gone without speaking. It was just that things ended badly and to be completely honest. I felt guilty.

I didn't feel guilty after it just happened but a couple of days after when I was with Hunter's family. My dad was alone for so long and my granddad was right, it was good to see him smile again. Even if that meant that Jade was the reason for it.

I wouldn't forgive him completely after what he said about Jaimie, I knew how he felt, it just felt wrong to say it out loud. But he is still my dad.

"Dad." I nodded.

"Mr Anderson." Hunter straightened up and moved slightly away from me.

"I... Em. I..." He was trying so hard to speak without crying.

So I stepped forward and hugged him. He stiffened but relaxed when I rested my head against his chest. His hands wrapped around me holding me tight.

"I want you to be happy," I held him by his shoulders and looked in his eyes, "I'll give Jade a chance. But please still believe in Jaimie. Or at least let me."

He nodded and hugged me again, "I love you, Emilia."

"I love you too, Dad."

Hunter hadn't said anything since our exchange but when my dad pulled away from me he nodded, "Sir."

"Hunter. Thank you." My dad walked over to Hunter.

Hunter held his hand out for my dad to shake, "It wasn't - "

But before he could say anything further my dad hugged him. Hunter's eyes widened and he lightly tapped him on the back. Hunter wasn't much taller than my dad but the exchanged between the two 'tough' guys made me laugh.

"Well, I've got a class to teach and Hunter, you've got a free to enjoy." My dad said once he pulled away, "Maybe take your girlfriend on a date?"

My cheeks were crimson and Hunter looked down at me and smirked, "Thanks sir."

My dad nodded and headed into the building.

"How does he know?" My voice was small.

Hunter laughed as he swung his arm around my shoulder and lead me to his car, "I just couldn't keep the news to myself."

"Should I expect a call from my mom?"

As I spoke my phone rang and I looked over at Hunter who was laughing

"It's Sky." I said before I answered, "Hey."

"Okay. Listen first then reject. But don't reject. Just give it a shot." Sky answered.

"Get to the point. You're mumbling." I said as I got into Hunter's car.

"So you know I always want you to do stuff with your musical ability. And I know you love acting, you just won't admit. Like, I don't even think your boyfriend knows."

"Sky... You're still mumbling." I rolled my eyes.

"Okay. Okay. So there's auditions for a musical and you're obsessed with musicals. You can sing and act, the dancing just needs a little work. But try it please."

I sighed and didn't answer.

"Hello? Em, you still there? I'm texting the address." And she hung up.

I slumped against the car seat and Hunter glanced over at me, "And now?"

"Sky wants me to audition for a musical."

"So?" Hunter's eyes were focused on the road.

"Really? You think I'd just show up at an audition without preparing."

"So you would audition?" Hunter smirked.

I groaned and slumped further into the seat.

"Might as well just sit on the floor." He mumbled and I shot him a glare.

I groaned again when Sky's name showed on my screen. Hunter grabbed the phone from my hand and read the address.

"Okay. I need to take the next left. And then should be on the right."

"Babe, you're speaking to yourself."
I smiled at him, placing my hand on his knee and he blushed.

"Why you blushing?" I sang.

"Am not." He said lifting my hand away from his knee.

"Awww babe." I placed my hand on his thigh and his blush deepened.

I laughed at the bad boy's reaction.

"Glad I have an effect on you." I mocked him in a deep voice.

"I don't speak like that." He grumbled. "Okay, we're here. What are you performing?"

"What? No..." I said raising my hands.

Hunter's blush was gone, replaced with his smirk.

"Just try it out. You'll never - "

I sighed again again and moved myself further down the seat.

"Don't finish that quote. It's a shit one."

Hunter just laughed at me. After a long moment of silence, I turned and looked up at him.

"I'll make a deal with you." I began.

"Mhmm... I'm listening..."

"I'll audition if you stay in the car and you tell me why you were blushing."

"That just benefits you!" Hunter exclaimed, "I didn't even know you could act so I'm definitely coming."

"Fine. I audition but you come with and you tell me why you blushed."

This time it was Hunter to sigh, "Deal."

He held out his hand for me to shake but instead I held his face in both my hands and kissed him.

"Now that's how you seal a deal." I whispered against his lips once we parted.
