"Oh my God, did we just win?" I exclaimed, my voice trembling with disbelief as I grappled with an overwhelming rush of emotions.

The entire stadium seemed to hold its breath, enveloped in a profound silence that was punctuated only by the distant sounds of shuffling feet and the rapid thumping of hearts. No one dared to move or speak, their collective anticipation hanging heavy in the air.

Then, with a resounding finality, the referee's whistle pierced the stillness, and the scoreboard overhead lit up, displaying the undeniable truth: Williams Field had emerged victorious, the score firmly in our favor.

The moment the realization sank in, it was as if an invisible dam had burst. The football team, previously held in check by their own astonishment, let out a triumphant roar that reverberated through the stadium. It was a roar of sheer jubilation, the release of pent-up tension, and the realization of a hard-fought victory.

The spectators, no longer able to contain their elation, joined in the cacophony of cheers, applause, and joyous shouts. The stands were alive with the collective celebration of our team's extraordinary achievement.

I felt Steff's hand on my shoulder, and he was shaking me out of my stunned state. "They did it!" he yelled, his voice filled with exhilaration. It was a moment of pure ecstasy, one that would be etched in the annals of our school's history.

It was at that moment that the realization truly hit me: we had actually won the game. I leaped up from my seat, joining in the raucous celebration for our triumphant team, my cheers resonating especially for my boyfriend.

"They did it!" I shouted, my words barely able to capture the overwhelming elation I felt as I watched Kristen being carried across the field by his exultant teammates.

"Anna!" Turning around, I was greeted by the beaming faces of my parents and my baby brother, Antonio.

"You guys came!" I exclaimed, enveloping all three of them in a joyful hug.

"We've never missed a final game at our alma mater before. Why should we start now, especially when it has everything to do with Kristen and the others?" my mom gushed, and I couldn't help but laugh at her enthusiasm.

"Honey, let's not focus too much on that for the moment," my dad grumbled, but there was a twinkle in his eye.

Dad had given up on banning me from dating after he'd gotten to know Kristen. Now, he was a big fan of the guy, even if he wouldn't admit how fond he was.

"I made sure not to miss that kiss you and Kristen shared during the last minute. You guys were so cute!" Mom gushed even more.

I glanced behind my parents and spotted both Steff's and Kristen's parents.

I greeted Steff's parents with a warm hug, feeling like they were my second parents. "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. McCollum. It's great to see you all."

"As this is such a happy moment for us, I won't ruin it, but I'm very disappointed in you, young lady. Ever since you became a senior, we never get to see you anymore. But I see where a lot of your attention is directed. We have a lot of catching up to do," Steffon's mom, Lisa, winked at me before moving on to greet their son.

"Mr. and Mrs. Slovac, it's really nice to see you again," I greeted Kristen's parents this time, feeling a sense of warmth and acceptance from them.

I remembered when I first met Kristen's parents at the Gala, and they had told me never to greet them like they were old. I couldn't help but smile at that memory. It had been over a month since I last saw them.

"You two looked so cute out there. I wish I had gotten a picture of you two. I can't believe my baby boy is all grown up!" Kristen's mom beamed, pulling me into a tight hug.

After our brief reunion, they made their way down to the field where their son would be celebrating the championship. I watched them go, feeling a warmth in my heart for Kristen and his family.

As the stadium began to clear out a bit, I could see the football team taking photos with the trophy, their faces beaming with pride and joy. Our parents had joined them on the field to congratulate the team.

I wanted to congratulate Kristen too, but I wasn't quite ready for the excitement and thrill that came with it. So, I decided to head home and get ready for the after-party. But first, I needed to use the bathroom.

On my way to the restroom, I was stopped by Sebastian.

"I think congratulations are in order," he said with a friendly smile.

"Thank you, and I can definitely say the same to you. You did a fantastic job out there. There's no reason not to congratulate you either," I replied.

"Yeah, our team did play better than they did in any other game. But of course, this is Williams Field we're talking about, not to mention your boyfriend. It's just a bit sad that we didn't win," he chuckled, but there was a hint of disappointment in his eyes.

"Yeah, but look on the bright side. The scouts loved you. I saw how they reacted every time you scored," I tried to offer some consolation.

"True," he admitted.

"So, are you going to tell me what you guys agreed on?" I asked, although this didn't seem like the right time, considering Kristen was just a few feet away.

"Yet again, that's not up to me to say. Although it would be a great moment to let you know, but I'll save it for later," he smirked.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I couldn't help but be curious.

Just then, I felt a hand wrap around my waist, and I knew it was Kristen.

"Why are you here?" Kristen asked, his hand gently tightening around my waist.

"I think I'll take my leave now. We'll be seeing each other a lot more often. I'll see you again soon," Sebastian said, excusing himself.

"Kristen, what was the deal that you proposed to Sebastian?" I asked, my anxiety growing.

"Not even a congratulations?" he teased, a smile on his face.

"Congratulations," I replied with a smile, giving him a quick kiss on the lips. "Now will you tell me?" I questioned, not letting go.

"Fine. We both had fifty thousand dollars on the line each for who would win the game," he confessed.

"Fifty thousand dollars! What the hell were you thinking!?" I couldn't help but raise my voice, shocked by the amount.

And here I was, thinking it had something to do with me.

"Relax, Bella. It's just money that I won from betting on the underground boxing tournament," Kristen explained, trying to calm me down.

"Now, are you going to continue to be grumpy, or are you going to celebrate with us? You know what, never mind, you're coming with me. Let's go, princess," Kristen declared, lifting me off the ground and pulling me toward the cheering crowd.

My dad couldn't resist giving a protective fatherly warning. "Now, young man, you take care of my daughter and make sure nothing happens to her."

"Come on, let's go, big guy. We need to let those teenagers have some fun," my mom urged, pulling my dad away as other parents followed suit.

"Don't worry, Mr. Walker. She's in good hands," Kristen reassured my dad.

I was gently placed back on my feet and found myself surrounded by the entire football team.

"Congratulations!" I managed to say, not much of a speech giver when faced with a crowd.

"Great pep talk today, Anna," Kyle complimented me, and I noticed Steff with a proud smile.

"Thanks," I replied, surprised by the cheerful response.

After hugging Kyle, Maurice, and Marco, I turned to Kristen.

"So, you had said that if I had won the game, then I'd be getting a prize," Kristen reminded me, pulling me close to his sweaty chest.

"Yeah, and I also remember promising you an ice cream treat," I recalled with a playful grin.

"The ice cream that you supply, to be precise," he clarified.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves here," I laughed.

"How about we get to the party, and I'll see what I can do for you after?" I suggested.

"That's my baby girl," Kristen replied with a grin.

"Just one last kiss before we go," he requested.

"Fine," I agreed, and with a quick peck on the cheek, I playfully ran away.

"You didn't say where you wanted the kiss!" I sang while fleeing, as he chased after me.

"At the end of tonight, there might just be a Kristen jr!" he playfully called out.
