"How do I look?" Maria asked, stepping before me in short, tight-fitted black shorts, a baby pink crop top revealing most of her cleavage, and matching Fenty sneakers. Her hair was caught in a ponytail.

"Wow," I said, flabbergasted and at a loss for words. Maria looked much like one of those women who worked inside the club, trying to get laid tonight. She would've fit in greatly with Regina's posse, but hey, who am I to say?

"That's exactly the look I was going for. Thank you!"

"But how will you get past Mom and Dad wearing that? You know they won't let you out of the house looking the way you look," I asked.

"Don't worry, I've got that covered," she replied excitedly as she pulled on a cardigan and a jacket over her shorts.

"Are you ready to go?"

"Yes, I am," I replied, putting down my flat iron.

I had my hair loosely flattened as it streamed down my lower back, wearing a white fitted dress that went just above my knees, matching white sneakers, and a gold choker around my neck that almost matched the color of my hair.

"Wow, you look like a hot grown-up rather than a teenage goody two shoes," she stated proudly.

"No, that's not good. I'm trying to keep a low profile, remember?" I spoke, flipping through my closet for something else to wear.

"Geez, stop acting like an old woman and let's go. We don't have much time left; the game's about to start," she said, grabbing onto my hand.

We rushed down the stairs to see everyone in the living room waiting for us.

"Hope you girls have a great time!" Mom smiled.

"But not too much of a great time," my dad quickly added.

"We have to go; we're running a bit late, and the game's about to start. So see you guys later!" Maria rushed, grabbing Steff's hand as well and pulling us along.

"Anna!" I heard Antonio yell as I stopped in my tracks. He was cuddled up under my dad's arm with a sad look on his face, almost as if he was on the verge of crying. How could I forget? I quickly went back and pecked a kiss on his cheek. He would never admit it, but he was a sucker for me, not for dad or Mom, but for me, his big sister.

He giggled, and I laughed, sprinting out the front door.

I sat in the backseat as Maria took the front seat beside Steff, who drove us to school. Maria took this time to rip off the cardigan and jacket she had put on to cover her outfit, and Steff gawked at her cleavage.

"H...how did you get home?" he stammered, quickly returning his gaze back onto the road.

"Oh, I, uh, one of my friends from the computer lab dropped me off," she replied, texting away on her phone.

The drive to school after that was awkward, but we managed to reach school with five minutes to spare before the game.

"Oh, sorry," I heard a gruff voice say as liquid drenched the inside of my dress.

"Shit," I hissed, looking down to discover a red liquid coating my dress. The strong stench let me know that it was, of course, alcohol. I looked up to give a good cursing to the imbecile who splashed alcohol all over my dress.

"What the fu...," I was about to yell, but holy Jesus, mother of glory, was he gorgeous!

I mean, he was Kristen's gorgeous! He was absolutely stunning, and dare I say, slightly more attractive than Kristen! He was a blonde, about 6ft3, with a lean and slender body, tanned golden skin, and bright brown eyes.

"I really didn't mean to..." his sweet voice said but was cut off by Maria.

"It's fine. I'll just lend her my jacket to wear. I'm Maria, by the way," she spoke, holding her hand out seductively.

"I'm Sebastian," he gave a toothy grin as his eyes flickered back to me.

"I'm really sorry for ruining your dress...?"

"Anna," I replied, giving back a toothy grin while shaking his hand, which I thought was odd and electrifyingly sweet.

We stood there, staring into each other's eyes as if we could read each other's thoughts, as if we were long-lost soulmates. The thought instantly calmed me. Unfortunately, we were rudely interrupted again by Maria clearing her throat.

I tried pulling my hand out of his, but he wouldn't let me. I looked up at him again, and there was a tinge of blush gathering around his cheeks. I blushed at the thought of him blushing too.

"Oh, uh, I think you should wear my jacket instead to cover up the stain on your dress," he replied, eyeing me up and down, making me blush even more. It was obvious he was checking me out.

"I don't think that's a good idea," Steff quickly interjected, offering his unwanted thought, and I scoffed. How dare he make that decision for me? I knew what was best.

"Why not?" I glared at him.

"For one, have you seen the jacket he's wearing?" I then turned to look at it, as his jersey said 'Captain of CrossWell High, Number Seven.' My eyes flew wide open. "Also, you go to Williams Field, not CrossWell. Do you know how that will look to others? And thirdly, you can't go sauntering inside the school building wearing a CrossWell jersey when there's a damn fire hazard ready to blow if a fly so much as touches you!"

"I've seen plenty of girls wear their boyfriends' jerseys from CrossWell before, and don't fire hazards normally blow up if there's a fire?" I finished in a 'duh' voice.

"You can't be that dense!"

"I am not dense!" Did he just yell that in front of the most gorgeous boy next to Kristen?

"Fine, go and get yourself killed, but don't come running to me when you're in deep shit."

What the hell is his problem?!

"I can take care of myself, thank you. Plus, Maria's jacket isn't able to cover all of this." I gestured to the red stain on my dress that went all the way to the bottom.

"I have a spare jersey in my car. This stain could take hours to clean," pretty boy Sebastian butted in.

"What the hell were you doing with alcohol? Planning a victory party you guys aren't gonna win?" I snickered.

"It was actually a prank by my teammates for when we do win the game," he replied with a smirk.

Hmm, cocky and gorgeous just like Kristen!

"Look, it's not a big deal, Steff. The game's about to start. We could just sit in the back."

Yeah, I thought to myself, it's not like something else could go wrong.

"Fine, suit yourself," he replied with a smirk.

I quickly took his jersey and placed it on. It covered just above my thigh, which was good enough to hide the stain. His alarmingly sweet strawberry scent drifted to my nose. His scent was nowhere near Kristen's manly one, but it was calming nonetheless.

"Thank you, but... how will you get the jersey back?"

He gave me his number, which I gladly took, and waved goodbye as he rushed to get ready for the game.

As we walked inside, the students in the hallway parted and gave us way while scowling in our direction.

"Why are they looking at us like that?" I whispered to Steff.

"Well, maybe because this year we actually have a chance of winning the title, and you decided it was best to wear our rivals' jersey instead."

"Whatever," I shrugged.

We soon made it to the school's playfield. The benches were almost full to capacity, with a few empty ones at the front. Are you kidding me?

Everyone kept looking, and I contemplated whether or not it was the best idea to wear the jersey. But then again, they always seemed to judge everyone to their liking, so to hell with them!

My eyes then took in Kristen's muscular form as he turned to face us. His stance showed determination as he spoke to his teammates. They soon went onto the field, taking their positions.

My eyes found Kyle, and he sported a serious face. But then his eyes took in my attire and went wide in the process. Not him too!

"This is not going to end well," I heard Steff mumble.

I sighed. I hope it does.

The game soon began, and I saw the guys play while the crowd cheered. I even got excited, jumping when our team reached the touchline. But no one was more excited than Maria.

The cheerleaders did their routines, getting the crowd active as well. The score showed 19 to 18, with us in the lead.

"Gosh, he's so gorgeous!" Maria whisper-yelled.

"I know, right!" I replied, gawking at Sebastian. He wasn't just gorgeous; he was hot! He stood in the middle of the field, flexing his god-given muscles, with the CrossWell fans going wild.

All this time, my eyes were only on Kristen and Sebastian as they went head-on.

Half-time came by quickly, and I was glad everything seemed to be going just as it was supposed to, with us on the verge of winning the game. I saw Sebastian's eyes staring at me, and I waved, to which he did the same. My gaze then met Kristen's confused one before recognition flashed in them.

And boy, was he angry!
