Chapter 12-Emily Mary Williams, will you be my girlfriend?

Two weeks later

It has been two weeks and things have gone back to normal. I'm again the boring nerd because Lucas and I have stopped communicating. But now I have two best friends and my brother and Parker.

Parker and I have gone on two more dates and it is amazing. So I don't know what we are but I like him. He hasn't asked me out yet. We are in lunch lecture currently.

"Quick everyone has gathered in the common room!" Lucy said pulling me towards the common room.

"Why what's going on?" I asked.

"I don't know but whatever it is, Parker is the center of the attention." Lucy informed

"Where are the others?"

"They are all in the common room."

We walked into the common room and she pushed me into the center of the circle where Parker stood. Okay what the actual hell? What is going on?

"Thanks Lucy!" Parker said and Lucy winked at me.

Then I realized stuff. Parker went down on one knee and held out flowers for me. A huge grin made its way onto my face. Finally!

"Emily Mary Williams, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.

"Yes!" I gasped.

Then? Then Parker's lips came on to mine and the world faded into nothing. But one person caught my eye.

*Lucas's POV*
I have to stay away from her for her own good. She can not know about me or her brother. She can't get involved in the mess. I stood in the crowd watching Parker work his magic. He is the best after me.

I am better and more charming than Parker but I could never keep Emily safe. Then Parker told me how he felt for her so I told him to go ahead.

But it isn't as easy as I thought. Standing in the crowd and watching them like that, together. It is killing me to see the way he touches her, the way he holds her, the way she melts into his kisses. It should have been me.... No what am I thinking?!

Not able to take it anymore I left the school. I always bunk anyways. I get on my bike and go to the only place that makes me feel alive Street Fighting Arena.

*Emily's POV*
Even while kissing Parker, in the corner of my eyes I could see Lucas walk away. Even after two weeks of ignoring each other there was something in my heart that couldn't let him go.

After the entire public display of emotions I was really embarrassed. Being the shy type is a pain sometimes. Casually Parker walked me to my next lecture since his 'confession' used up lunch.

"You both are finally together." Katie smiled.

"Yes, he is my first." I blushed.

"Oh! You are really pretty! I thought you must have has many in the past." Katie said.

"No, not really."

"I think Parker will do well. If he doesn't, I will personally kick his ass."

"Thanks." I smiled

Now I was 'popular'. Not because I had a choice. Just because I am Parker's girlfriend. But I must say Ashley, Katie and Jace have been nothing but sweet. On the other hand Tyler doesn't talk much. Lucas is in the same group but we don't talk. Well let's see what Summer Hills has to say about this.

The entire lecture I'm drowned in my own thoughts and I don't give a shit what the teacher is saying. Three days back if you told me I wouldn't pay attention in class I would have personally escorted you to the mental hospital.

"So you and Parker." Aaron smiled as we entered the corridor.

"Yea." I smiled back.

"You sure this is gonna work out because dating a popular means you have to get popular too and communicate with all the crowd." Aaron informed.

"I'll try plus I have you with me." I smiled and he nodded.

"By the way have you told Lucy yet?" I asked.

"No, it's complicated."

"Plu-ease! don't give me the complicated crap. Admit the fact that you're scared."

"What if she doesn't like me back?"

"Not being sexist or anything but why are you whining like a girl?"

"Okay I'll tell her at the party tonight."

"What party?" I asked and that's when I received a text.

Party tonight pick you up at 6-Park.

Well this is what being popular means? If I have to this for our relationship, I will.

"I'm going with Parker. See you there Aaron." I waved a goodbye.

*Lucas's POV*
The memory of Emily and Parker kissing flashed in my mind and with one last punch my opponent went down. Confused? I'm a Street Fighter. And I win all battles.

Let me give you a summary. I am Lucas Henswood. Everything about me yells BAD. My mom and dad are millionaires and own a huge fancy mansion. I don't live with them.

They bought me a flat and I stay there. I'm not eighteen but they don't care and so nor do I. I street fight to earn. My parents pay for my school and studies but everything else is on my own.

Today I skipped so that I could fight. But today it wasn't for money, it was to get everything out, let all the bullshit out. That scene of Parker and Emily just got to me. Worst part is that I don't even know why.

She catches my eye every time I see her. She makes me feel different, she makes me remember the real me, the good boy under the tough bad boy cover. Do I like her? I can't possibly like her can I?

"Put me in for the battle tonight too Mark." I said to the battle setter.

"You sure man? It's gonna be difficult."

Hey man party at mine tonight -Conner.

"Actually cut it, I have a party to attend."
