"no, you can not have my tea"

tussle, tussle. mert. tussle, tussle

Today Loki was reading upon his bed and the fluffy cat was rolling in his sheets fighting the silk in a very non-elegant way and the little black ball was disappearing under the white sheets then reappearing by his face a minute later as the sheets pulled and twisted. 

Loki couldn't fight back the grin at her antics as she nudged her forehead with his cheek purring and padding at his armor annoyingly. 

"you wish for me to remove it? gladly darling" he purred jokingly and she jumped shocked at the sudden tone of his voice then batted his nose with her paw scoldingly.

 He chuckled at the soft feeling then a thought came to his mind, the spell wouldn't take too much energy to muster.

While Sparrow turned around and continued to roll in the white sheets on her back purring and twisting in the warm sunlight with her eyes closed the sheets tussled behind her and she turned opening her eyes to see the Norse god gone. 

She stood up and looked where he once was "mrow?" she hummed in confused at his sudden disappearance a sudden mewl came from under the sheets as a lump was covered by the blankets where he used to be but much smaller. 

She approached hesitantly her small black paws bouncing on the soft sheets and as she approached she used her teeth to pull back to covers tentatively. 

Only to fall back in shock as a black cat with silky smooth short fur with green eyes peered back at her. She yowled out in shock, the green-eyed cat trodded over to her and stood over her fluffy self and booped its cold nose with hers. 

She was too in shock to register what was going on but he nudged his cheek with hers and soon they were both a puddle of purrs. 

'so this is what it's like for you darling' Loki purred in a mind connection which she jumped at the sound of 'Loki? this is you?' she thought in her own mind and it transferred.

 'yes it is me love, who else could it be?'  she could hear the smugness in his voice and she laughed in the mental connection in astonishment and jumped up and tackled him onto the sheets and they both batted the face or paws of each other playfully rolling around.

Eventually, she stood and caught his tail in her paws and gave it a small nibble and he yelped and jumped up tackling her on the sheets as they both chuckled in the mind link with their silly antics. 

Eventually, she pinned him down again with her paws and they stared into one another's eyes for a moment before Sparrow licked his cheek and hopped off and ran off down the hall shouting in the mental connection. 

'catch me if you can Lokitty cat!' and after Loki snapped out of the daze he shook his head and hopped off of the bed racing as fast as his little paws could carry him to catch his sneaky mortal. 

Of course, Sparrow was much more experienced in the art of being a cat so he struggled to catch up with her but gave in to teleporting. 

He shifted back into human form before doing so and thought about going to the kitchen to look for her and just as he teleported the small black cat ran headfirst into his legs whining as she fell back not seeing the god before he teleported. 

Without being able to process things entirely, Loki picked up the disoriented midnight black cat with beaming yellow eyes and cuddled her close to his chest, "sorry love I did not intend for you to collide with me"

She blinked a couple of times looking up at him and meowed indignantly "but I did catch you" he drawled smugly and before she could protest he kissed the soft spot between her ears.

It had come about as a friendly gesture between the two, along with his teasing and she was growing used to it and enjoyed it. 

Without warning, she shifted into human form and he was holding her bridal style. "you cheated" she whined pouting as she poked his chest while he leveled her to the ground. 

He mocked shock and rose his hands in mock surrender "me? I could never!" he cried sarcastically and she giggled but rubbed her forehead slightly. The dull ache was still wearing off "are you alright?" He switched up suddenly noticing he had caused more pain than thought to be "yeah Loki I'm alright, just hurts a little bit" she droned with a laugh. 

But he wasn't convinced and placed a cold hand against her forehead, he smirked when she closed her eyes and leaned into his cold touch breathing out a sigh of relief and the warm air fanned his face.

Running around the tower for a while was very tiring and made her very warm so the cold hand against her forehead was very relaxing and well needed. 

She sighed in content and he chuckled softly "come here kitten" he cooed and pulled her into his embrace and the cold radiated off of him cooling her down as she leaned her head into his chest. 

"afternoon lovebirds" Natasha called from the kitchen and the two split apart spluttering "I-Nat we aren't like that" Sparrow protested avoiding looking at the god situated next to her "I beg to differ" she bit into a muffin with a grin. 

Sparrow felt her cheeks redden in embarrassment and looked away, just then Tony came in "any progress on the two?" he quizzed Nat and who shook her head "just more hugging and cuddling nothing new" she shrugged as if the two weren't right there. 

Loki guffawed at their actions "you two have been talking about us?" 

"well of course, you two are always together may as well get something beneficial out of it, when are you two going to confess?" Tony asked. 

Sparrow tensed and side glanced Loki who immediately noticed her discomfort "We know not of what you speak of Stark" Loki sneered as a warning stepping next to Sparrow. 

"Oh come on! everyone knows you two share a bed! you both cuddle with each other all the time and you kiss her head lovingly! just get it over with and confess!" Tony cheered on and Sparrow shrunk back feeling awkward. 

"alright that's enough Tony" Nat placed a hand on his shoulder but Tony kept at it "I mean it's beyond me on how you would both fall for each other, he tried to take over New York he's lucky he's even in this tower if it weren't for Fury he'd be 6 feet unde-" Tony continued to Sparrow. 

She felt her hands clench at her sides at his words, "Enough Stark" Thor suddenly stepped in catching everyone off guard, "alright pointbreak, but you really need to do something about this relationship here, it needs work" Tony tossed a hand and stalked off. 

The vexation was surging off of Loki in waves at this point and Sparrow approached and put a gentle hand on his forearm.

"its okay Loki, I don't care what he thinks" she quietly murmured and he looked down at her his expression softening "you're not as bad as he makes you out to be, what happened with new york has been and gone, there is no point of thinking about the past when we have the whole future ahead of us right?" she shrugged giving a light smile and he returned it relaxing.

"I suppose you are right little cat"

Ngl my favorite chapter because of the beginning and I love the word 'mert' it just makes me giggle every time because it's stupidly cute idk :'>  Btw i didn't realise i took so long to update this one been caught up with other stuff but all your comments make me giggle! I am doing some major refixes for the rest of the book which is why I dont update too frequently (I like to have a chapter edited before my published ones so I dont stress) I dont want the new changes to fall flat so I need some extra time to be careful with them! If it doesn't work out I'll need to resort to the current story line but lets hope it doesn't come to that because my goal is to make it still enjoyable and engrossing!
