(Y/n) POV

Its already been a week since i came back from mt. Fujikasane to the this small village after taking the final selection; and since then i stopped my previous job and focused myself on improving my body strength as well as my skills on handling swords and knife and even start learning the breathing technique according to what Ruki-san described on how and surprisingly it was easy to learn than how she elaborated.

Within a year time, i had master it completely. My own style as i called it breath of Blood, near to the fact that i lust for blood; the metallic aroma of it easily catch my attention and i love the sight of the crimson color of it as it shows the other meaning of my crest. Crimson Blood Rose.

This day, i will be receiving my nichirin sword as what they call it, and i was currently at the backyard of Toko-san's house, upside down as my legs were hanging at the sturdy trunk of the tree as i was wearing a modernized sport bra and sweatpants that i let Kiko-san make it in the past few days, the clothes that i wear back in my own world. Sweat trickling from my forehead and arms and my hands were at the back of my head as i pull my upper body up while maintaining my breathing technique, it actually improved my lung capacity and it help me to concentrate more. This became my training routine every now and then knowing this world is no joke to be carefree.

"(Y/n)-san!" I heard my name being called as i stopped what i was doing letting my hands dangle over my head as i look at her direction. "Hello Toko-san." I greeted, "there's a man looking for you wearing a weird pink mask." She said pointing behind her. "Ah, must be the swordsmith. Thanks." I hummed letting my legs go from the branch and perfectly land on my feet to the ground as Toko gone back inside.

I picked my hoari up from the clotheslines before slipping it in my shoulders covering up my sports bra as i enter the house, clothes such as this was considered inappropriate in this world. Sighing i met up with the swordsmith of my nichirin sword. Upon seeing him at the door i cover my mouth stopping my urge to laugh, even with that big basin looking hat, i can see the weirdest mask he was wearing. 'What's with the weird mask?' I thought before clearing my throat, i went up to him and before i could even speak, he beat me to it. "My name is Haganezuka, i have forged (y/n) Nasumi's sword, and i am here to deliver it." He said, with thay mask i don't know if he could actually see me.

"Oh, i am (y-"

"This is the nichirin sword, and i forged it." He said cutting me off and the corner of my lips twitch slightly. Deciding not to interfere more, i let him finish what he had to say as i remain quite.

"The materials for a Nichirin sword, can be obtained from the mountain closest to the sun. Scarlet crimson iron sand and Scarlet crimson ore. These produce steel that absorb sunlight." He finished while he unwrapped the cloth showing a box that contains the said sword.

......

Sitting on the clean floor with Toko-san beside me, Hganezuka-san put his hat down as he took out the two sword i had requested from the box then handling it to me. Taking the first sword in my hand, i carefully observe the outer part followed by the second one, weighing its weight and testing out the handle. I must admit it was well made and i can't help but glance at Haganezuka-san's mask every five minutes wondering what his face look like behind that weird pink mask.

"Come on, hurry up and draw it!" He said, with the mask his wearing i can't pinpoint his emotion but his tone was so eager.

"The nichirin sword were also known as the color changing sword. The sword itself will change its color depending on the wielder itself." He added looking at the sword in my hand. Pushing my previous thought at the back of my head, i stare at the swords in my hand. 'I wonder what color is mine.' I said to myself curious as i draw the first one out. Haganezuka-san stare at it with intense amticipation, and few seconds pass the sword turned into a dark purple color.

"Purple!?" Haganezuka-san said in disbelief and his body began to twitch. "Why? Something wrong with purple?" I asked, "and here i was hoping I'd get to see a bright red sword!! Dammit!!" He yelled in agony his hand twitching while steam came out from the mouth of his mask. "Chill dude, its just a color of sword." I mumbled out watching him want to strangle me but manage to stop himself. I grab the second sword from the ground and immediately draw it out.

Same as the first one, it had character engraved near the hilt that says: destroy. I placed the blade near my face expecting the same color of dark purple but as i look at the sword, the original silver color of it started to turn into a bright red one.
....

....

....

Silence engulf us. Even i was speechless, isn't it supposed to be the same color as the first one? Like what Rika-san had describe? Yet, why i had different colors of swords? A dark purple one and a bright red one.

"Wow." I heard Toko-san sighed staring at the two sword in my hand in awe and Haganezuka-san grew quite for some time. "I-i have live up for this moment!!" He suddenly yelled in happiness slightly tearing up and greatly admiring the bright red sword, completely ignoring the purple in my other hand.

Having a look at his pink weird mask, my question about the sword were long forgotten as i was now dying to know what he actually looks like behind that weird funny pink mask.

Laying the purple sword down, Haganezuka-san was busy admiring the bright red sword, taking this chance, i look towards Toko-san. It was like she read what i had in mind that she nod her head while i was silently move towards Haganezuka-san 's back.

"Sorry, but i was dying to know what you look like behind that mask!" I yelled out tackling him to the ground as he let go of the sword in surprise, "let go!" He yelled and once i take a hold of his hand i called my partner in crime. "Toko-san!" And in a swift movement she pull the mask off and her eyes widen and mutter a small 'wow'.

Confused, i let Haganezuka-san go and face Toko-san's who seemed to be petrified staring at him. "What do you m- w-wow indeed" I said but cut myself of as i had saw the real face of Haganezuka-san and whisper the last part. Who would have thought that, behind that weird funny pink mask, a handsome face was hidden.

"Are ya done staring!?" He yelled snapping us back to reality. Toko-san immediately look to the side as i was still admiring his face. "Say Haganezuka-san. How old are you?" I blurted out with innocent smile. "I'm thirty-seven Got a problem!?" He replied snatching his mask back from Toko's hand before wearing it. "Thirty-seven with that handsome face!? What a bummer, with that age we didn't expect you to be a good looking man." I said grinned wiggling my brows at him also fighting my slight pinkish blush to my face.

He look away with a scoff but his red ears tell that he was also blushing. "Toko-san. Any interest getting married to him?" I asked teasingly causing them to blush deep red and before they can even reply, my kasugai crow which i named 'Taro' came flying down through the window landing on my lap.

"Nasumi (Y/n)! Here are your orders!" He yelled towards me catching the other two person with me.

"Orders?"

******

"So will i not see you again?" Toko-san asked in worry as i was buttoning up my demon slayer uniform. We treat each other like sister in that days i started to live here, so i wasn't surprised if she was worried for me but, i wasn't used to this. Back in the modern world of mine, i struggle in my own without someone worrying for me, i became a killer, an assassin cause one: my parents were murdered in brutal way, second: my younger brother died in sickness. And lastly: I had a pure blood of an assassin running through my veins.

In this world, i was in someone's body that i didn't originally owned. A world where i wasn't supposed to be, yet. I need to move forward not only that i was granted a second life to a world of demons and swordsman, but also to start a new set of life.

"Don't worry Toko-san we might cross each other path someday." I replied slipping into my haori. "By the way, where's Haganezuka-san?" I asked curios as to why he suddenly vanished. "Ah, about that. He dashed away after you enter your room saying about you'll tease him again so he escape before you can do it." She said scratching her cheeks. "My, what a talent. I didn't even notice despite my sharp senses.' I thought chuckling.

"Oh. Before i set off, here." I said after wearing my attire handing her the wisteria necklace oka-san gave me a year back.

"Eh? Isn't this important to you? Why give it to me?" Toko-san said trying to refuse.

"Its a lucky charm, consider it as a gift. It can also protect you about the demon without me." I replied placing the necklace at her hand before i tied my swords at the back of my waist. (An: just like how the sword is placed at the female in the book cover.)

"Thank you, sister." She said hugging me tightly which i returned with a small smile. 'Sister, huh?' I thought remembering Luke and sashi saying it to me.

"Then take care, sister." I said as we both pull away from each other and i head out of the estate following Taro lead me to my destination.
