*Lilith*

I was staring down the barrel of a gun.

I lifted my eyes to his, and his bright blue eyes drilled into mine.

Kelly, Silvia, and anonymous were all standing frozen behind him. Not wanting to move and startle him to pull the trigger.

His hands were trembling.

I snorted.

Then as fast as an snake striking out, I slapped my hand to the gun so that it wasn't pointed at my head anymore. He pulled the trigger right before he let go, but the shoot went wide.

Kelly jumped on his back with an over dramatic battle cry, and I was finally able to wrestle the gun out of his hands. I put the safety back on and threw it on the floor away from us.

I turned back to the guy, and saw the three girls pounding the absolute shit out of him. I grinned.

"Girls, can you keep him alive?" I asked, putting my hands in my pockets.

Silvia was the only one who looked up at me, and she nodded.

"Sure," She said, and pulled Kelly of the guy. His nose was broken, and the rest of his face looked horrible as well. Anonymous also stopped punching him in the gut, and she stood. He puked all over the mall floor. That's karma for the security guards.

"Thanks for helping out," Anonymous said to all of us, and I bowed dramatically. The other two just smiled.

"Hey so wanna go back to my house?" I asked anonymous, and she nodded eagerly.

A while later I was in my black room, with the guy tried to a metal chair. His face was absolutely destroyed thanks to the girls, but I could make out the determination on his face. But that was going to waver soon.

Kelly, Silvia, and anonymous were currently showering and getting to know each other, but I decided to just get this part over with first.

I made sure my own face was void of all emotion, before turning away from him, and putting on a steel protector for my knuckles. I didn't mind them getting busted, but I preferred then not to.

I faced the guy again, and stepped closer.

"There are two ways that this can go. The first is that you corporate, and I'll give you a swift death." I said, not even pretending I wasn't going to kill him either way.

"The second," I continued, "is that you don't corporate, and I'll have to give you hell on earth until you do. Understand?"

He locked his eyes on mine, and nodded. I knew he was trying to get sympathy from me by holding eye contact, but I wasn't sure I was really effected by any of that shit. Apparently, I was a psychopath with that. Who would have thought.

"I need verbal answers. I repeat: do you understand?" I said clearly and loudly.

"Yes." He said, gritting his teeth. His voice was gruff and sounded tired.

"How old are you?" I asked. It must sound like the stupidest question, but I had to make sure he talked. If he didn't say anything now, he sure as hell wasn't going to spill his life story to me later.

"39," He said, finally noticing that I didn't give a shit about him, and breaking eye contact. Ha ha ya little shit. I win this little staring competition.

"Are you tired?" I asked, and it had a double purpose. I got him talking without any harm, and I knew if he was already tired.

"A little bit," God he was so stupid. Why would he say that to me?

I continued with asking kinda useless questions, carefully avoiding anything that was personal like his name or his family, and also avoiding anything that might make him shut up.

After an hour of intense questioning about nothing, I decided he was tired enough to start really questioning him.

"Why did you attack her?" I asked the same why as every other question. He didn't miss a beat.

"We were ordered to." Ahhhh, here comes the good part.

"By who?" I asked, but this time he stayed silent. Fine if he wanted to play this game, I would happily join. I finally punched him on his broken nose. He grunted.

"Are you afraid what might happen if you say? Are you afraid the person you're working for might try to kill you? Because I can tell you straight up that you're not getting out of this room alive." I said flatly.

He stayed silent the little pice of shit that he was.

"Who ordered you to attack her?" I repeated, and he once again stayed silent. Well then, time to torture it out of him.

The entire thing lasted about one and a half hours, and I got every answer I wanted out of him. Now he was half dead on the chair.

"Do you know who I am?" I asked, smiling kindly. I mean I could at last make his last moments bittersweet right? He shook his head, and I let him get away with not giving a verbal answer as I could practically see his soul being taken by the grim reaper.

"I'm the Shadow." I said, and his eyes widened before they went hollow. And I knew he was dead.

I seriously needed to change my assassin name. Shadow sucks. Even thought I liked this dramatic exit, I needed something better. Shadow just sounded like a name someone would think of on a whim not knowing what else to call an assassin. It sucked.

I sighed while thinking of the misery that I couldn't easily change my assassin name, and left the room for a shower and to explain to the girls.

"Ok, so what answers did you get?" Anonymous said, as I sat down in the living room next to Kelly. Silvia was sitting on the armchair, also listening.

"Well first of all, Kelly?" I asked and she inclined her head.

"Is it alright if I share with them what Steel is doing with women?" I asked and she hesitantly nodded.

"Steel has sex slaves, and is in the trafficking business." I said, and Silvia gasped while anonymous's eyebrows went up.

"I found out that the reason they attacked you anonymous, is because they thought you were pretty enough to kidnap for the trafficking system. Steel ordered them to get some new women, because the gang needed more money." I said, ripping the metaphorical band aid off.

Silence.

"That is fucked up." Anonymous said, and we all agreed.

The rest of the day all of us just hung out, eating snacks and chatting. Then Silvia asked a question that made everyone go quiet.

"Hey anonymous, could we know your real name?" Apparently, while I was dealing with questioning the guy, anonymous had told them she was a hacker and would rather be called anonymous for safety purposes.

And just now while we were chatting, I told anonymous that Kelly and Silvia knew that I was the Shadow.

"You only have to tell us if you want to of course," Kelly said, and Silvia nodded.

"It's alright, if Lilith trusts you, then so do I." Anonymous said.

"My real name is Charlie. And my hacker name is Mad_Hatter" Charlie said, and I groaned.

"I still get jealous over the fact that you actually have a good hacker name, while my assassin name is freaking 'shadow'" I said, and Charlie laughed.

"Well maybe that's because I had more time to think on it then you." Charlie said, and I agreed. Kelly and Silvia were both grinning, taking it all in stride.

"Also um, Lilith?" Charlie asked me, and I raised an eyebrow in question.

"Can I live here too? I'm really lonely and I already love you girls too much." She said, and I turned to ask Kelly and Silvia if they wanted that. To my delight, they both nodded, and I said to Charlie.

"Absolutely. But you have to do chores around the house just like the rest of us." I said smiling widely. Charlie walked up to me and hugged me.

"Thank you Lilith, and yeah of course I'll do chores."

My eyes connected with Kelly's and I swear I could see some jealously in them as I hugged Charlie. Well shit.

You all have no idea how hard it was to finally tell you Charlie's name.
