I watch Easton make his way to the couch and turn back to Mya when I determine he's out of ear shot. "What do you want to do?" I ask, not sure if she wants to be alone or would like a good cry and to talk about it. If it were me, I'd be painting. Some of my best work has been done when I was at my lowest. However, I don't think Mya will find much solace in that.

She shakes her head. "I'm not sure. I'm still so hungover, I just don't know if it's all truly hitting me yet."

"Want to start drinking again?" I question, jokingly. Judging by her disgusted look, we won't be hitting the minibar.

"I have to call the wedding planner, cancel everything." She rubs her eyes, I can see shes trying to gather her jumbled thoughts.

"I'll do all that. Why don't you rest?" I suggest, wanting to take some of the responsibility off of her shoulders.

"I won't be able to." She replies. Seconds later her phone rings and she looks at the screen. "Its Tate." She states, surprised, but she doesn't seem angry.

"You don't have to answer it." I tell her, not knowing what else to say.

She ignores me and brings the phone to her ear. "Hi." She answers, I can hear the pain in her voice. She walks to the door, opening it to talk privately in the hallway. Knowing she needs this time by herself I wait. Mya never ceases to amaze me, she isn't going to cower in a corner. She licks her wounds and confronts things head on. I pace the floor feeling the glances from Treux and Easton directed my way. I wait as long as I possibly can before I go to the door, opening it as quietly as possible. Mya is leaning against the wall her phone beside her.

"Are you okay?" I ask, stupidly.

She shakes her head. "No."

I go to sit next to her. "What'd he say?" I question, curiosity getting the best of me.

She scoffs. "That he doesn't know what happened. That he's so sorry...blah. Blah. Blah." She mocks.

I groan, feeling her pain and confusion. "You deserve better than that." I tell her honestly. Feeling no sense of loss cutting Tate out of my life. What a joke he is.

"I just want to forget this for a while, you know?"

"A vacation from your vacation? Or hard drugs?" I ask, trying to lighten the mood.

She laughs and I feel the relief course through me. "Both." She replies, smiling weakly. "I'll call the school. I need some time off."

"Truex and I are going back home for family introductions." I say, trying to take her mind off the situation. "Should be entertaining. Wanna come?"

"Really? Wow." Her eyes are wide and the grin on her face is infectious.

I nod. "He's insisting on meeting, Alicia." I tell her, using my moms name.

She covers her mouth smothering a laugh. "Did you warn him about her?"

"As best as I could." I reply, letting my defeat show.

"You two are going to make it." She states, knowingly.

Somewhat shocked, I look at her underneath my eyelashes. "You really think so?" I question, my heart skipping a beat. I don't know if she's right, but the thought of being without Truex doesn't sit well with me. Her statement has given me a sense of comfort and hope. Our future is as unknown as everyone else's, but for the first time in my life I want to be with someone, I want to be with Truex.

She nods her head, yes. "Trust me. I knew Tate and I weren't meant to be just by watching the two of you. You're made for each other. No matter how disgusting, vile, repulsive, repugna-."

"Okay. I get it." I laugh. "So, what do you want to do? I have to cheer you up some how."

"I want to leave this place." She replies, simply.

"Then lets go." I tell her, standing up. I hold out my hands and help her stand. I push the door open and hit something, hard.

"Ouch!" Easton yelps, rubbing his forehead.

I roll my eyes. "You're pathetic." I point out, knowing he had been eavesdropping on our conversation.

Not looking at all chargrined or embarrassed he explains. "I was worried. Took you guys long enough." He scolds.

"Didn't know we were being timed." I reply, sarcastically. Truex watches us from the couch and I walk towards him. "Hey, Mya wants to get out of here." I say, hoping he'll do whatever we need to do to leave.

"Where does she want to go?"

"Home. I think." I answer, unsure.

Mya and Easton come towards us and he asks her, "You want to go home?"

"Yeah. I don't know about you guys, but I'm over Las Vegas." She replies, the hurt in her eyes easy to read.

"We were planning on leaving for Michigan to visit her family and ours. Make some introductions-" Truex starts to explain.

"We can postpone it." I say, cutting him off.

"No need to postpone it." She replies, firmly.

I glare at Truex. "You need family right now, Mya." I remark, gently.

"I'll take her back home to Texas. Keep her mind off of everything. Sort of like a mini vacation." Easton offers.

"No, really. Its fine. I just want to go home and take it easy for a few days."

"Are you sure?" I question, not feeling good about leaving her alone.

"Yes, this I am sure about." She answers, with conviction.

I hesitate. I can't just abandon her, everything in me refuses to do it. "We'll give your space, but we're coming home with you." I reply, strongly. "It goes against all my instincts. I love you too much to be that far away. What if you need me?"

She groans, but I can see she thinks my inner turmoil is funny. "Fine. I'll have Easton come with me." She reluctantly gives in.

"Easton isn't me." I remind her, cheekily.

"I'm better." He boasts. "I believe it was me holding her hair back as she vomited nonstop last night." He reminds us.

She turns to him guiltily. "I'm really sorry about that."

He smirks, but waves off her apology. "It took me back to my college days."

"I'm sure a lot of women puked after waking up with you." I respond, chuckling. "Are you sure about this?" I ask her again.

"He might be dumb, but at least he's pretty." She shrugs. "I'll make the best out of it."

I think it over finally giving in and nodding my consent. Once, Mya makes up her mind she's impossible to argue with, kinda like her brother in that regard.

We start packing up our luggage, room by room. When its time to leave I've make Mya promise a thousand times to call if she needs me, at the airport it takes everything in me to leave her side. I breathe deeply as I drop into my seat and lean my head back, keeping my eyes closed tightly. Not wanting to drawl attention to my inflight panic. "It doesn't feel right." I tell Truex, after we are in the air and my heart rate returns to normal.

"She'll be okay." He replies, knowingly.

"She just had her heart shattered." I remind him, irritated by his nonchalant attitude.

He looks over at me and our eyes meet. "No, her heart was never in it."

"You really think that?" I ask, maybe a little too hopeful.

"I know that. She just wanted a happy ending. A fairy tale to tell her friends. She knew he wasn't the one, but chose to ignore it. When I say she'll be alright, I truly mean it. She'll bounce back in no time."

"Yeah, maybe you're right." I comment. Thinking about her infatuation with Easton. There is no way I could be thinking about another guy if I just found out my fiancé just cheated on me. I'd be destroyed, which is exactly what I expected Mya to be. I think she was truly upset, but even when I thought she was grieving she answered his call. Upset, of course she was, but not destroyed.

I fall asleep to pass the time. I wake up when I hear the pilot announcing that we'd be landing shortly. I look out the window and my stomach drops. "I hate this part." I say, clutching the arm rests.

"I've been thinking." Truex, remarks.

"That's a first." I respond, sarcastically as I close my eyes to avoid looking out the window again.

"You could be pregnant." He states, simply.

My eyes almost pop out of my head and I turn to him. "You say that to me right now? On a plane?" I reply, seething.

He shrugs. "I'm just trying to take your mind off of it."

"You could've suggested a slightly less alarming topic." I tell him, annoyed.

"Alarming?"

"Yes! What are you? an echo? Alarming." I reiterate, my mind racing at the possibility. Why the hell do I get myself into these situations? Why can't I plan BEFORE my stupidity slaps me across the face?

"You said you wanted them someday." He says, innocently recalling the conversation I had with his mother at the wedding dress shop.

I glare at him. "We've been married a hot minute. I haven't really thought about it as something that would happen anytime soon." I answer, honestly.

He smirks. "I guess we both better start thinking about it, soon."

"Sounds like you've already have." I point out.

He nods. "I have." His tone of voice tells me this is a thought he's been pondering for some time.

Alarmed, I ask, "Since when?"

"A lot. Since our wedding night, especially."

"Why didn't you mention it? You know I'm not good with details. What if I wanted you to wear something?" I whisper.

He shrugs in response and I roll my eyes. "From now on, lets be safe. Please." I tell him, knowing the responsibility will fall on his shoulders mostly.

"What if its too late?"

"Then I guess we're becoming parents." I snap back, as the planes wheels skid across the runway.

"I want kids." He states, simply and I groan in response. "Lots of kids." He adds.

My eyes open. "Just how many do you think we'll be having?"

"Five?"

"Fuck you." I say, louder than I meant to.

"Yes, that's the plan." He jokes.

"Thats not going to happen. Five is too many." I argue, questioning his sanity.

"Four?"

"No! Still too many. We start with one and take it from there." I reply, trying to gather my scattered thoughts.

"Twins run in my family." He comments offhandedly.

I slug him in his arm. "Stop, right now." I warn.
