The walk home felt three times as long as it actually was, probably due to Arden's little revelation not half an hour ago.

Mycah in his tipsy state did not even know how to comprehend this new information. And as for Arden, he was giving nothing away by literally acting as if nothing had happened. It was driving Mycah crazy.

"What the hell was that about?" He eventually went sputtered, head whirring.

"What, exactly?" Arden drawled, turning to face him lazily.

Now Mycah wondered if Arden was being purposely dense, or was just too drunk to remember what he had done.

"Your little confession! Never have I ever?" Mycah pressed exasperatedly, his drunken tongue tripping slightly over his own words.

"Confession? Never have I ever?" Arden said with confusion, stumbling his step slightly.

Ah, definitely drunk.

"You seriously don't remember? Dude, it was half an hour ago." Mycah deadpanned, words slightly slurred.

"I'm messing with you. Of course I remember." Arden shrugged, staring straight ahead.

Relief washed over Mycah. He certainly didn't want to have to be the one to remind Arden of his antics tomorrow morning, when they both would be sporting killer hangovers and tensions would be higher than usual.

The buzz of the alcohol made it hard for him to think straight, but even through his hazy thoughts Arden's confession, or really confessions plural, were clear as day.

He was too far gone to piece together much else, other than the fact that;

a) Arden has been in a secret relationship at some point during high school, and

b) Arden had been with another guy.

And considering that Mycah had never once heard word that Arden was anything other than straight, it wasn't far off for him to assume that Arden's secret relationship was with said boy.

Really, it was all a bit of a shock. Arden the angel did play the role of perfect heterosexual white male down to a tee. And now one of those things was possibly not true, and spoiler alert: Arden was still Caucasian.

"And? Care to ebalorate." Mycah shook his head, that didn't sound right. "Etalorate? Elaborate? That's the one."

"Perhaps no." Arden said simply, bewildering Mycah. How was this boy so sober? Then again, the game of never have I ever had been a lot more tolling on Mycah then it was on Arden. At the end of the day, that boy was innocent as shit.

"Not all of us are as experienced as you." Arden drawled, and then Mycah realized he had said that last part out loud.

"Just cause you're a prude." Mycah shot back.

"You would think that." Arden snapped.

"Arden. Tell me." Mycah whined, shoving the other boy.

"Mycah. No." Arden replied mockingly, picking up his pace. The house was nearing and Mycah's chance was slipping away with every passing second.

"I'm getting answers out of you." He said adamantly, earning him a snort from Arden.

"Good luck with that."

"Are you gay?" Mycah blurted out.

"Are you?" Arden countered sarcastically.

"Kinda. About fifty percent, though sometimes I think it's sixty. Or sometimes it's forty. Depends really."

"On what?" Arden asked, amused.

"Oh you know. The day of the week, the colour of my shirt, the weather. The usual." Mycah replied.

"I can't even tell if you're joking." Arden deadpanned.

"Me neither." Mycah realized, laughing at his own stupidity. The effects of the alcohol were really hitting him now, and he felt lightheaded and free.

"Idiot." Arden mumbled, shaking his head slightly.

"You're an idiot."

"You're drunk."

"A drunk mouth speaks sober thoughts." Mycah said wisely.

"Dumbass. There, that's my sober mouth speaking sober thoughts." Arden countered, rolling his eyes slightly.

"How are you so sober?" Mycah asked, bewildered.

"Because, Mycah. Some of us have self control, believe it or not."

"Whatever. You're just uptight."

"You're just a whore." Arden shrugged.

"Wanna know something?" Mycah asked, changing the subject completely.

Arden observed him sideways for a moment before shrugging. "Go for it."

"I'm bi."

"I know Mycah. Everyone knows. You don't exactly try to hide it." Arden replied.

"No Arden, you don't get it. I don't just mean bisexual. I'm really bi." He giggled.

"How d'you reckon that?" Arden asked, humoring the now very drunk Mycah.

"Because I'm triple bi."

"Triple bi?"

"Bisexual, biracial, bipolar." Mycah said, grinning proudly and not registering in his drunken state the secret he had just revealed.

Arden however, was well sober enough to understand what Mycah just said. He fell silent.

"Isn't that cool Arden?" Mycah pressed when he didn't get a reply from the other boy.

"Sure Mycah. That's cool." Arden said, distracted. But his answer was enough for drunk Mycah who smiled proudly.

They had reached the house at this stage and Arden held open the door for Mycah to stumble inside. They made their way upstairs, Arden trying to keep the other boy silent as not to wake their parents. He didn't think the adults would be happy to be woken up by a smashed Mycah at almost three o'clock in the morning.

Mycah stumbled into bed, giddy. He pulled off his clothes as he fell, leaving only his boxers. A silence hung between them for a half an hour or so, but Mycah was having difficulty getting to sleep.

"Arden." He called out in a whisper.

"What?" Arden groaned in reply, clearly annoyed at having been woken up from his almost sleep.

"Just checking if you're awake."

"I am now." Arden groaned back.

"Me too Arden." Mycah replied happily.

"You don't say."

"You're so sarcastic." Mycah observed.

"Well spotted."

"The hot ones always are." Mycah stated matter of factly, and for the second time that night Arden fell silent again.

"Oh and Arden," Mycah piped up again, suddenly remembering something.

"What, Mycah?" Arden asked, tired.

"Don't think I've forgotten. I will get to the bottom of you're little confession." Mycah said simply.

"I could say the same." Arden muttered under his breath, just quiet enough for Mycah to miss it.

"What did you say?" He questioned, looking over at Arden sideways.

"Nothing. Good night Mycah." Was all Arden said, shuffling around in his bed. From the light of the moon Mycah could see that he was turning to face the wall, his back against Mycah.

"Night night." Mycah answered, still in a dreamlike state. His head felt all fuzzy and deep down he knew that he would be sporting a raging hangover in the morning, but for now he was too drunk to care. He had a feeling he had said too much to Arden, but he couldn't place his finger on what exactly he shouldn't have said. Oh well, he'd know by tomorrow he supposed.

He snuggled down into his duvet, nuzzling his head against the pillow. Everything felt so good, and though he knew sickness would probably come in the morning, for now he felt on top of the world. Alcohol was the best.
