"When am I allowed out of here?" I snapped as I stared at Greyson through the metal bars.

"When you decide to answer my questions, Kitten." Greyson replied cockily. I crossed my arms and leaned back into the chair I was sitting on.

"Then I suppose we're gonna be here for a while." I stated. He growled lowly as I glared at the ceiling. I seem to be doing that a lot lately.

After everything went down in the yard, I ran off in another direction. Nearly ran past the borders, but patrols stopped me.

I was so distracted by patrols that I didn't notice Greyson behind me. He picked me up and carried me down to this cellar. He's trying to freak me out down here, so I'm not allowed to leave until I do what he says.

"You're really starting to piss me off," he said angrily. I rolled my eyes, but didn't say a word. "I just want to know a few simple things! That's all! Stop acting like such a bitch!" I didn't answer. I knew I was being a bitch. I didn't care. He didn't seem to care when he was being a douchebag to me and my friends all of those years. No one did.

Minutes passed and eventually I heard Greyson sigh.

"Alright. That was a bit unreasonable," he breathed out, "what if you answer one of mine then, I'll answer one of yours?" I smirked and looked at Greyson. I nodded and he let out a sigh. "Okay, so why are you being so uncooperative?" He asked. I gaped at him.

"I'm being uncooperative? Oh, well I'm dearly sorry. I'm sorry that you don't take things well when they don't go your way. Hate to break it to ya Grey, but life isn't always just shits and giggles." I said seriously. His jaw looked tight and his body seemed tense. I found it amusing, but a part of me felt sorry for him.

"That's not what I asked," he replied lowly. "I want to know why you're being so uncooperative. Why you won't eat? Why you won't speak? Why you just do what ever you want? Smashing a damn window? Was that necessary?" He questioned getting even more furious than before.

"No. It wasn't necessary. I just was angry, okay? I'm sorry about the dang window, but I won't apologize for being a bitch when you all were complete assholes to me and my friends first," I spat. His breathing was heavier as we stared at each other in the eyes. My blue eyes were absorbed in his grey ones. Absolutely beautiful.

"I see. Well then, I'll be going." He said as he turned and began walking away. I jumped up and wrapped my hands around the bars and shook them wildly.

"No! I get to ask you a question! Get over here!" I screamed at him. He stopped dead in his tracks and looked at me. I was breathing heavily, and I felt my eyes shifting from my average blue to the cold icy blue they become when I'm extremely angry.

Greyson slowly made his way back over to the cell I was in and stared at me. "Go on," he ushered.

"Why didn't you react? Why didn't you do anything when Cody hit me or that boy nearly knocked the crap out of me? Huh?" I said and my hands gripped the bars even tighter. My knuckles were turning white and my palms burned from squeezing the metal bars.

"Because you need that encouragement. You wouldn't have been able to hurt anyone. You're just scared, so you make it seem like you're so damn tough, but you're not. Some of the girls can beat Evan up. It's a shame that he could make you go completely unconscious. It's an embarrassment. There was no way I was going to let you fight him again. You're not strong, Alex. You're weak."

"You're weak! I don't want you! Go away!" He said angrily as I stood there in shock.

"What?" I asked. What was happening?

"Look at you! You're scrawny! You couldn't hurt a bug! You're the most pathetic excuse for a mate anyone could ask for!" He screamed at me. I felt tears slip down my cheeks and my breath hitched.

"So what are you saying?" I mumbled shyly as I was terrified of the being in front of me. I felt so scared and vulnerable. Like a kitten in a dog pound.

"I don't want you. No one will ever want you. You're weak and pathetic. I reject you," he said in my face. I sobbed as he stormed out of the room. After moments of what seemed like endless crying, I eventually stopped.

I'm not going to be this person. I'm going to be better. I'm gonna make him sorry for everything. He's going to see that I'm strong and stronger than him for that matter. He'll see.

"Okay, Liam. Okay."

I felt my breathing hitch as the words slipped out of Greyson's mouth, bringing back the memories. He thinks I'm weak just like Liam did. Am I? What if I am? What if this is a sign?

No. I'm strong. I don't need Greyson to tell me I'm not because I know for a fact I am. I left everything just so I could be this way. Every single damn thing.

"I am not weak," I said finally. "I can take on who ever you want me to. You choose, and I'll fight them right now." I spoke lowly. Greyson looked lost in though for a moment, but then smirked.

"Alright, baby doll. Let's see what you got," he responded evilly. I answer back with a devilish grin, "Okay, Greyson. Okay."

โž–โž–โž–

"First one to submit loses. No mercy guys," Greyson said as I stood in front of Tyler. This was going to be interesting. Seeing as Tyler and I are both betas (or at least I was), we should be near the same strength.

"Are you both ready? Well I don't care. Fight," Greyson said as Tyler shifted to his blondish colored wolf. My eyes enlarged as I didn't think we would be shifting.

He charged at me and grabbed me by the back of my shirt. He picked me up and tossed me to the side. I slid across the grass on my stomach as I heard Greyson telling Tyler to bring it up a notch.

I recovered and quickly got on my feet. I stood up just in time to see Tyler charging at me. I rolled to the left as he pounced on the grass where I had been standing. I let out a breath and watched Tyler's feet as he came at me once again.

He took five steps and steps with his left paw before he jumps. He snarled at me and charged again.

I watched his left foot and fell to my back as he leaped. Once he was over me, I used my feet to kick under his stomach.

He flipped backward and hit the ground with a large smack.

"Oh come on Tyler! She's in human form!" Greyson yelled. Does he want me killed? Oh my god. Who does the moon goddess think she is?

I stood up as did Tyler, and he growled loudly at me. This time, I charged at him. I was trying to go for a pressure point just behind his ear on the left side of his head, but he lurched at me. I fell backward and knew this wasn't going to do me any good. I was breathing heavily and my back was killing me.

Tyler charged at me so I stepped to the right and landed a punch to the side of his head. He stopped for a moment which gave me the opportunity to shift.

I changed to my black wolf and growled menacingly at him. He snarled in response.

"Well, this is about to get interesting." I heard Greyson say. I huffed and wished I could just beat the shit out of him instead.

Tyler seemed to gain a lot more confidence now that I was in wolf form. He pounced on me and without warning bit the back of my neck. From the corner of my eye, I could see Greyson wince. Good.

I flipped myself so I was on my back with Tyler underneath me. He whined and let go of the back of my neck. I quickly stood up once again and barked.

Although, this time I didn't give him a chance to stand back up. I used my front paws and pushed down on his stomach. Karissa would do this to me and it would hurt like crazy.

Tyler whined and used his back legs to kick me away. My back hit against a tree causing me to let out a cry. I could smell blood, and I knew that it was from the back of my neck.

I growled and charged at him. He charged at me as well. I kept running as he came toward me. Once I was close enough, I latched onto his right shoulder and rolled.

I rolled onto my stomach and stood on me feet. I could taste blood in mouth as Tyler babied his right leg. I growled as he snarled back.

"Bubba! Bubba! Doggies!" I faintly heard. My head snapped in the direction of the voice. Riley was running full speed at us. He was giggling like a mad man and didn't seem like he had a care in the world. "I wanna pet the doggies!" He squealed. I panicked. He can't come over here.

It all happened so fast. I barked at Riley and his eyes grew wide. I didn't have time to think before I was rammed into on the side.

I fell on the ground and Tyler fell on top of me. He jumped on me and latched his jaws around my neck.

"Doggy?" I heard Riley say like he was about to cry. "Doggy!" He screamed. "Bubba help the doggy! Its dyin'!" He cried.

I whined loudly showing Tyler that I submit. I had to make sure Riley was okay. He was practically having a panic attack!

Tyler let go, and I instantly shifted. I grabbed one of the towels off of the ground that were here for us for when it was over and wrapped it around myself. I ran toward Riley as he watched me with wide eyes.

I picked him up and held him tightly as he cried.

"Why did doggie bite you?" He cried. "Why was you a doggie?" It honestly crushed me to hear him cry. It reminded me of my brother. The bond we had together. I repeatedly told him I was alright and rubbed his back.

Eventually, he calmed down and played with the strands of my hair. I stood there for a moment thinking about just how awkward this must look. I was holding a child that wasn't mine while I was in nothing but a towel.

I felt two arms wrap around my waist and I froze. I knew instantly who it was. I was so pissed off at him, but I didn't want to do anything that would make Riley upset.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked Greyson. He kissed the side of my neck as I clenched my teeth together.

"You did well. I didn't know you were that good. I'm sorry, Kitten," I sucked in a large breath as I let Greyson hold me. Ugh. This is ridiculous.

Am I really an awful person for not giving him a chance? Should I? I looked at Riley's little face as he ran his small fingers through my hair. He turned his head and smiled at me, and I smiled in return.

"Do you and bubba love each other yet?" He asked. To say I was shocked by that question was an understatement.

"What?" I asked him. He frowned and narrowed his eyes at me.

"Alli! You promised!" He yelled and pointed a finger accusingly at me.

"What?" Riley asked. I could just see the wheels turning in Greyson's mind as the phone went silent. "Oh..okay." He said and I could almost imagine the evil grin on he and Greyson's face by the way he said it. "Ally, you should give bubba a chance. He's nice when he doesn't have to go with Daddy. Sometimes he's mean though, like when Ty and Mariah are over. He's nice when you're around though. I like when you're arou-"

"Okay, Ry. That's enough." Greyson barged into the conversation. He didn't sound to happy. Great, so my mate is a stuck up asshole around his friends. I wouldn't deny that for a minute.

"Sorry, bubba. Please don't get angry. I don't like when you're angry, Bubba. Your eyes scare me," Riley pleaded and I wanted to tear Greyson's head off. Poor little Lee. He's only three! He shouldn't have to worry about seeing Greyson's wolf.

"It's okay, Riley," Greyson said and then I heard Lee squeal.

"No! I only get kisses from Ally and Mummy! Ew, Bubba! Ew-hahaha!" Riley laughed loudly.

"Awe," I said as I listened to Riley giggle as Greyson gave him kisses. It reminded me if the relationship I had with my little brother.

"Grey-Greys-son! S-sto-op!" Riley squealed as he giggled even louder. Moments passed and slowly Riley seemed to calm down. "Ally?"

"Yeah?" I answered with a big grin plastered on my face.

"Will you give bubba a chance?" He asked sincerely.

"Yeah. I guess I could. For you."

"Yeah. I guess I did." I said as I felt myself being pulled against Greyson's chest even more than I already was. I couldn't even process it.

"You did promise." Greyson said a matter of factly into my ear. I huffed and elbowed him.

"Who asked for your two sense? Can't you tell this conversation is between me and the only man I'll ever need?" I asked Greyson who I could tell was rolling his eyes at me.

"Bubba, why do you like making people mad?" Riley asked and I couldn't help the chuckle that came out of my mouth.

"Why do you like hitting on my mate?" Greyson fired back. I scoffed. So immature. Much rather date the youngest one, but I'm not a pedophile, so I can't.

"I doesn't hit Ally!" Riley yelled back and wrapped his arms around my neck. I could see him glaring angrily at Greyson.

Greyson's arms unwrapped themselves from my waist. I turned my head to see him putting his hands up in surrender.

"Sorry, your highness, " Greyson said dramatically. I couldn't help the small smile that it caused to spread across my face.

"No. Now you have to go to time out, mister." Riley replied seriously as he pointed his little finger at Greyson.

"You gotta catch me." Greyson smirked and started walking backward. Riley wiggled in my arms as I began putting him on the ground.

"Bubba! You'z in trouble!" He screamed as his little feet ran through the yard as he tried to catch Greyson.

I clutched my towel and smiled as I watched the two chase each other. I chuckled when Riley would get really pissed because Greyson was faster than him.

Couldn't he just always act like this? Then it hit me. Could I?

The thought couldn't stay away about the fact that I promised Riley I'd give Greyson a chance. To be fair, I hadn't given him much of a chance to redeem himself.

But should I?
