**Dasha's POV from now on until specified**

Waking up the next morning I got dressed quickly before heading over to meet with Tyson. We had planned on picking up some things for Rose before she got her results back. Today was going to be interesting, that was all I knew.

Hayden stirred as I laced up my converse and grinned at how adorable he was while sleeping.

"I'll be back love." I kissed his head and ducked out to go before I could be delayed.

Thankfully my classes weren't going over anything important today so I was allowing myself to skip for Roses's sake.

'Hey send me the list of what you think we should get.' I texted Tyson while starting up my car. The one thing I knew for sure I was getting was ice cream. I already had the prenatal vitamins in my glove compartment to give to her... if things turned out that way.

'Sending right now. I'll meet you at Walgreens?' he replied.

Heading to the direction of the convenient store, I thought how I would even begin to handle the news myself. My best friend was potentially pregnant and her boyfriend, a potential dad, was being flaky. Who would've thought?

'What would Hayden think if you were pregnant?' my conscious thought as I tried to dismiss the notion. He would be thrilled I would think... the mention of kids had come up in the beginning when we dated and was brought up a time or two afterwards. No doubt we would have them after getting married, but the only thing I could think about right now was getting through the rest of this semester.

I saw Tyson pull up in his Chevrolet and met him by the entrance as we hugged briefly before going inside.

"What flavor ice cream? Since I knew that was the first thing you were thinking."

"Something with peanut butter." I gazed at the frozen section to the side. "Have you heard anything from Sean?"

"Sorta."

"Sorta?"

"He needs to talk to Rose. He didn't elaborate but there's obviously something going on to where he's acting strange. Nothing is going to help if she really is pregnant either."

I grabbed a carton of chocolate peanut butter ice cream and dropped it in the cart. What could be going on with Sean to where he wasn't reaching out to any of us?

"Is his family okay?"

"As far as I know yes? Like I said, he needs to talk to Rosemary. He wasn't very... accommodating when I asked him what was up."

"That's not like him, something must have happened."

"When does she get her results back?" Tyson grabbed a bouquet of flowers and laid them in the cart.

"Within the next hour or so. I figured this wouldn't take long and then,"

My phone started buzzing as we both looked at each other with the same expression.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Dasha." Her voice was extremely calm and I wasn't too sure how to take that.

"Hey girl, everything okay?"

"When are you coming over?"

"I'll be there shortly. Tyson and I had to meet up and were going to take one car. Give us fifteen minutes?"

"Okay." The sigh that came over the phone made my heart clench. She found out.

"I'll be there soon Rose." I hung up and glanced at the list. "She knows, we need to hurry."

Pulling up to our apartment, we grabbed the two bags and knocked on the door. If she was the next step was to figure out how to tell Sean.

Rose opened the door and looked at the floor while we made our way inside and set the things on the counter.

"What's that?"

"We'll explain after." I hugged her gently. "Did you..."

She nodded and handed me the paper that had been emailed to her with the results. I guess that was better than calling her so she would be able to reread it when needed.

Rosemary Porter

Based on your blood tests that we ran when you came to visit we are here to confirm that you are indeed pregnant. To be exact you are around five weeks, if not six by this following Sunday. Please call the number below if you have any questions and to come in for a meeting to inform you on what needs to happen next. Your next appointment will be scheduled then as well.

Regards,

Dr. Tayler

Tyson wrapped his arms around Rose as she remained still and said nothing. We all knew this was going to happen... but it still hadn't sunk in yet.

"I'm going to be a mom." Her voice was soft as he pulled back and squeezed her shoulder.

"Sean wants to talk to you."

"He may not want too after this..."

"We'll figure that out after you talk to him. For now," I grabbed the two small bags and handed them to her. "Open these please."

"You didn't have to get me anything." She pulled the tissue from the bags to reveal the flowers and icecream along with a few other items we had gotten her. "But thank you, I don't know what I would do without you two right now."

"There are prenatal vitamins in there, Hayden's friend was able to give me some. She's a pharmacist who I believe knows Dr. Tayler so it won't be too hard to get anything you need from her. Just let us know what we can do to help."

Rose nodded and set the items back down. "I guess San Francisco will have to be put on hold..."

"Not necessarily." Tyson proceeded with caution. "We graduate within a month, you'll only be around eleven weeks. If you start somewhere... you'll still have time to begin working before you have to be off for a few weeks. Don't you have family out in Cali anyways?"

"An Uncle and Aunt yes. I guess they could help me out... but, I need Sean,"

"We'll make sure you talk to him today and get this figured out. I for one am making sure your pregnancy is as stress free as possible so this needs to be addressed immediately. Then we'll call your parents."

"I already told my mom. She wasn't mad, I think she's more excited than I am to be having a grandchild."

I felt a little relieved knowing her parents were at least taking the news well. Overall she seemed to be... well she was in shock still but doing better than when she had done the pregnancy test a week ago.

"I'm going to call him, I'll be right back." She grabbed her phone and went into the bedroom as we just looked at each other.

"If he leaves her,"

"I'll knock him back to his senses." Tyson reaffirmed while Rose's voice was faintly heard on the other side of the door.

"Does she look... pregnant?"

"I haven't seen her in any right clothing recently. But if the test confirmed it, I'm sure she'll start showing more around eight weeks."

"Well," Tyson cracked his knuckles. "I guess I better learn how to change a diaper."

I punched his arm lightly as he chuckled. "Take this as a hint to not knock up your girlfriend."

"When I get one." He teased back as I rolled my eyes.

"You're just too picky."

"Hey, a man has to have his standards as do women correct? I'm just waiting for a girl that stands out from the rest. Besides, I have you and Rose for now. Why would I need another girl to add to my list?"

I smiled, these were the kinds of friends people needed in their life. College had overall made that possible.

Rose walked out and slipped her phone in her pocket. "He promised to meet me. I want y'all there."

"Okay." I nodded before I could advise her to do anything different. She was pregnant, I was going to let her have her way.

"Just... let me change real quick. Dasha can you bring the vitamins?"

I grabbed them quickly and followed her into her bedroom as I laid the bottle on the bed. "It says to take them once a day."

"Okay." She slipped her tshirt off and just stared at her midsection. It was more taut than I had remembered and there was a tiny hint of a jump beginning to peek through.

She placed her hands around her abdomen. "Hey there little one, let's go see what daddy has to say huh?"

I handed her a long sleeve to slip on as she gave me a grateful look.

"You'll be a great mom, no doubt Rose."

"Thanks." She pulled her hair into a messy bun and grabbed her water bottle from the bed to take a pill.

"Good thing I already take vitamins that taste nasty." She grimaced after swallowing the pill.

"Agreed." I smiled as the three of us went in Tyson's car to meet Sean.

"Where did he say?"

"I just said his place. Is that okay?"

"Wherever you wanted to meet is fine." He reassured her.

Nothing was said when we pulled up and Tyson parked the car. No one made the first move as we waited patiently.

"Here we go," Rose grabbed the door and got out as we followed suit.

She wrapped her arms around her and then realized she was cradling her stomach before dropping them again.

Tyson knocked and took a step back as we all held our breath for the door to open.

Sean appeared moments later with a raised eyebrow. "Hey guys."

"Hey," I have a halfhearted smile as we all slipped in and Rose remained quiet.

"Um... Rose? I thought it was just you showing up. No offense guys."

"There's something I need to say, and they needed to be here." She went back to holding her abdomen and shivered.

"Okay?" Sean moved us towards the living room and gestured for us to take a seat. "Is everything okay?"

Tyson and I said nothing while Rose tried to gather her thoughts. "I know that this semester has been... difficult to say the least. But I'm unsure of what I did to make you so distant."

"What are you talking about?" He frowned and tried to catch her eye when a tear fell quickly.

"We..." she took a deep breath, "Sean we hardly talk. I know we both have work to do but we're never around the other. I see these two more often than you. It's like you shut the world out, and made me apart of that."

"Baby,"

"Sean, I can't do this if you're going to shut me out."

"Can't do what? What are you talking about? I'm not trying to shut you out okay? There's been some family stuff going on... I couldn't,"

No one said anything as he tried to make her look at him. "Rosemary, I'm in love with you and I never have felt anything less. I'm just dealing with some family stuff that I wasn't at liberty to talk about."

"What's going on?" Tyson broke the silence this time while Sean took Rose's hand.

"One of my Aunt's was diagnosed with ALS and hasn't been given long to live. We're trying to figure out how to care for her two kids in the meantime because she's a single mom and my parents are offering to help care for my cousin's. It's just been hard to watch them see their mom suffer like this."

"I'm sorry..." Rose blinked back tears and put her hand on his cheek. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Baby if I could I would've. We just haven't wanted to say anything in case things got better. I'm trying not to think of the worst for her, but they're not expecting her to live long and my cousin's are only in middle school..." He shook his head for a moment. "What did you mean by you can't do this?"

Rose's hands trembled as she placed them back in her lap. "I went to the doctor the other day for some tests."

"What kind of tests..."

"Pregnancy," she didn't look him in the eye as he sat dumbfounded.

"Pregnancy?"

She nodded. "I'm nearly six weeks Sean."

"Six weeks? You're positive?"

Rose grabbed his hand and placed it on her stomach. "Positive."

Tyson and I looked away as they both held a silent conversation within that moment. By the looks of it things were going to be okay, and that was going to be relieving within itself for the two of them.

"Were going to be parents?" He breathed and looked at us.

"Mhm." I couldn't help the smile that formed on my face. "Congratulations you two."

"I... why didn't you tell me sooner?" He placed both hands on her and rested his forehead against hers. "Do you have pictures?"

"Not yet, but the next appointment I will."

"Can I go?"

She nodded and hugged him tight while crying silently. Tyson and I stood up to give them a moment while we went to talk.

"I had no idea," I whispered as he cracked open two bottles of beer for us.

"Me neither. He never mentioned anything about family... I didn't think it had been that serious."

"But now we know, and now we can sleep a little better knowing they'll both support the baby."

"I knew he wouldn't leave her." He took a swig of his drink. "He may have been acting strange but he's a good guy. Sean's never been the kind to lead a girl on like that, especially Rosemary."

"Ready to be God parents?" I teased as his eyes widened.

"Ah hell, it better be a boy then. That way I'm not spending as much on it."

"Watch if it's a girl you'll be wrapped around her finger when she arrives."

"Bet, if it's a boy the same will happen to you."

"Deal. Winner buys the other one a plane ticket to San Francisco when they move out there?"

"Deal." Tyson shook my hand before we walked back to go check on the expecting parents.

**So Sean and Rose are still together! I've been writing this chapter for a few days now so that I could upload for y'all! If I got Rose's last name wrong I apologize I couldn't remember what name I had given her. Baby names are appreciated because I don't know what I'll pick yet ;) but yay for long chapters!**
