Brad comes back to the waiting room.

"You're done already?" Katherine ask.

"They pushed me out. Her heart rate started to beat rapidly. They said she was frightened. I don't know what why." Brad days and then the doctor who pushed Brad out came in.

"We need the mother to come back. Natalie was calm when you came in. She won't calm down now, so we need you to try." The doctor says.

"Ok. Brad can you go home and get me a change of clothes?"

"Yea. I'll be back soon." Brad says and leaves. He doesn't go straight home though, he goes to Renee's.

Meanwhile, Katherine walks back to the room with the doctor.

"May I ask you a question?" Katherine ask the doctor.

"Sure."

"Do you think she'll wake up?"

"Do you want the truth?"

"No, I want the lie. Of course I want the truth." Katherine says and can't help but laugh. The doctor laughs at how cute Katherine's laugh. Maybe you can say he has a crush on her.

"Yes, I think she will. It's not too serious, but it may take a few days, maybe weeks."

"Ok. Thank you." Katherine says and walks into the room.

While Katherine is calming Natalie down, Brad is taking care of some business. He walks into Renee's house.

"You son of a b#tch. You killed my baby." Brad says and slaps her and then leaves. He goes to his house and changes clothes and gets Katherine some clothes. He starts to head back to the hospital. When he gets there, he waits in the waiting room, because only one person can go in to see Natalie at a time.

It's 5 am and Katherine is still at the hospital. Brad left so he could get ready for work. Katherine is walking out of Natalie's room to go get some coffee from the cafeteria when Dr. Parker, the doctor who finds Katherine cute, bumps into her.

"Sorry. I don't function well until I've had about 30 cups of coffee." Dr. Parker says.

"Sounds like you've already had 20." Katherine says playfully.

"I've had 2, actually. I was going to get another, wanna come?"

"Sure. As long as this isn't a date or anything. I mean, I wouldn't mind dating you, it's just with my daughter in the hospital. I mean I... Just basically told you I thought you were cute. Dang it, I did it again. I may need to stop talking." Katherine says blushing.

"I wouldn't mind dating you either just saying. I thought that guy you were with was your husband."

"He is. We've just been having problems. I filed for a divorce last week, so it should be official any day now."

"I'm so sorry."

"It's ok. Coffee?"

"Yes!!" Dr. Parker says and they head downstairs for some coffee.

"So I don't have anything on my nose?" Dr.Parker ask.

"No. You don't."

"If I didn't know I had any whip cream on my nose, I would be walking around all day with it on since you wouldn't tell me." He says and wipes it off. Katherine and him laugh. "Well, I should get going for my rounds."

"Me too. I should go back up to Natalie's room."

"Maybe you should go home and get some rest."

"No, I'm fine. I just want to stay here with her."

"Ok. Well, I'll see you when I come to Natalie's room and hopefully at 9 pm when I get back to work."

"I'll be here. Thanks for the coffee Dr. Parker."

"No problem, and call me Nick."

"Ok. See you soon." Katherine says and walks away blushing. She feels like a high school girl with a school crush.
