Chapter 29 - She's Here!

I've probably talked about it before, that feeling of excitement and nervousness which people called anxiousness. But mine is mixed with so many emotions, fear, pain.

What if she's like my mom? What if she hates me? What if she kicks me out? Nobody wants an almost eighteen year old!

But as soon as she sees me, a large smile spreads across her face.

She smiles brightly at El, moving towards me. "Who are you Doll?" She says, her voice having a hint of an Italian accent.

"I'm Summer, Summer Cynthia." I say and she smiles brightly as she hugs me. I won't push her off, but I barely know her. It makes me uncomfortable people touching me, at least people other than Kingston.

But I'm happy she likes me.

"I've always wanted a teen girl! That's why I tried so hard to get Persephone with that asshole of a dad, but she isn't quite at that stage yet. I wasn't even with him anymore." She says, shaking her head before looking up at me in surprise.

"Sorry for my rambling dear, just excited. Are you River's girlfriend? He needs one of those-" she stops as footsteps come quickly down the stairs.

River is in the entrance soon, shirtless making me blush at the sight of him, he holds Pho at his side. Buts she quickly wiggles to get out of his arms when she sees, Mrs. Bianchi.

"Mommy!!" She exclaims, running towards her like there's no tomorrow. She bends down, picking up Persephone with no big deal.

As she comes back up she looks at River, he leans against the wall with a smile directed at his mom. "I see you forget to tell me about this young lady in our calls." Mrs Bianchi says, signaling to me as she coos Pho.

"I'm not a baby anymore Mommy." Pho says, and Mrs Bianchi nods awkwardly putting Persephone down with a sad smile. "Sorry hun, I've missed a lot, huh?"

River nods once she's done, "Yea, I'll tell you why in a moment, but Summer will be living with us." He says and Mrs. Bianchi smiles mischievously.

She looks at me with a smile, she's a little bit taller than me, her dark brown eyes holding every single emotion all at once.

"She's a cute one, don't do the thing with this one." She says, putting her hand up to my face making me flinch, but her hand stops mid way. Her fingers gently rub against my skin with a worried but knowing expression on Mrs Bianchi's face.

"I have some Ideas of why already, hun. I want to talk about so much with you, a teenage girl." She says, smiling at me. "Ugh, I love this. River, now." She says, pointing to the living room as she walks in.

He smiles at me, sending a wink my way before heading to the room with his mom.

El smiles at me and rushes over, "She likes you!" So says and I chuckle, "She seems more friendly than the parents I'm used to." I say and El gives a sad smile, "She's quite nice, Wl Cariño."

She picks up Pho, "Go get to bed, she'll want to talk to you tomorrow." El says and I smile with a nod as I travel up the stairs. The faint sound of voices coming from the living room.

"Darling, I know what that's like. Don't treat her like the girls, for the past years. You should've seen her face when she saw you shirtless!"

"I know mother, I want her life to be better-"

I go up the stairs quickly before I hear anything else, not wanting to snoop when I've only just met Mrs Bianchi. But I can't help but wonder if they were talking about me.

Well no shit Sherlock, they're talking about you.
They probably weren't.
I'm literally the topic of conversation, she has to know why I'm here.

I lay in my bed, an hour passing then another. But I can't sleep, for some reason I have the bright idea to get up and go to Kingston's room. But I know Kingston won't be there.

------

The door opening wakes me up, the warmth of the blanket covering me.

Somebody kneels in front of me, I close my eyes fiercely, scared of who it is.

"Just friends my ass." I hear the feminine voice of Mrs. Bianchi say as she shakes me up. "You scared me, Mrs Bianchi." I say opening my eyes to see her smirking at me.

"Oh please, call me Halliah." She says and I smile and nod.

"You're in Kingston's bed?" She asks with a raised eyebrow and I chuckle nervously. "God don't worry I get it!" She says, waving me off.

River walks threw the threshold and raises an eyebrow.

"Mother." He warns and she chuckles, "I'm just joining with her, Darling. But you have to get up for school, and I'd like to talk to Summer about stuff when she's ready." She clears up, and I nod.

"She probably will not want to tell you everything, she does not really like talking to people she just met." He says and I nod, smiling towards him as to tell him he got it right.

"You know a lot about her, Darling. Don't let Kingston mess it up." She says to him, making me blush but surprised to see him blushing too. He's such a baby when you get to know him, he was so scary at school.

I get up, handing him some of his clothes from his closet that I pick out for him. A white T-shirt with some ripped jeans. "I trust you." I say out of nowhere, and he gets up immediately, his face lighting up.

"You trust me." He mumbles but I hear, "If I didn't trust you I wouldn't say it, would I?" I ask and he gets up immediately.

He rushes towards me on the side of the room, pushing me against his chest and enveloping me in the biggest hug I've ever seen him give. He was so happy, and that was the sweetest thing I've ever seen.

For him to be happy that I trusted him, that he was my best friend. "I have a lot of friends but I will try to fit you in on my list." He says sarcastically and I push him off with a fake growl, a smile on my face.

"Nobody ever trusts me, they all think that I am the bad boy. I just have some issues. So thank you, you do not know how much that actually means to me." He says and I stop in my tracks.

I turn around with a smile, "You're such a baby now that I know you, I love it." I say and he holds my hands as I back up, dragging him with me. "So you love me?" He asks cockily and I feel the heat come up to my cheeks.

"I- uh- No!" I stutter, him raising an eyebrow but I can tell it's a taunt. I drop his hands, going to the door with fake anger.

"Pease be quick ironing your hair today." I finish, retaliating the sarcastic ness from his comment. He growls walking away towards his bathroom.

--------------------

I got in Kingston's car, I had put on a pair of pink jeans and a white bodysuit. Over it I had one of Kingston's hoodies, a white one with a pink rose over his heart. I tap my heart, over the rose quickly going out of my trance to see him staring at me.

He puts a questioning look on his face, and taps his hand of his heart making me blush. "There's a Rose here!" I say, pointing to the rose making him chuckle, "You are so Cute." He says, making my blush turn a shade of crimson red as Kingston chuckles.

"I know, I'm hot." He says, and I don't say anything except a mumble to myself. "Yes, yes you are." After a moment of comfortable silence, the car going down the road, Kingston speaks.

"Thank you for telling me, Summer."

"Telling you what?" I ask, confused as he looks straight at the road, his hand on my thigh rubbing gentle circles on my leg through my jeans.

"Everything, everything you told me and didn't tell me. Taking care of me, not caring when I scream or dig my face in your neck because I love you." He says and I smile, ruffling his hair.

"Love you too, Kingston."

STOP he'll never love you the same way

Kingston turns the radio up, his eyes sparkling as one of his favorite songs comes on. Something Good Can Work by Two Door Cinema Club.

I knew this would happen, but it's more fun when it really does happen.

He starts wiggling as he drives probably unsafely, dancing as I scream and giggle. He keeps a hand on the wheel as he shakes his head, driving thankfully on a straight away.

I laugh as I start doing it too, becoming just like him, engulfed in happiness as I just move how I want to.

I laugh, and he does too, his laugh filling the car and making me even happier as I sit back, out of breath similar to him as he sits back and takes a turn. I stare at him, unknowing that I am as he turns to me, staring at me for a second before looking at the road again.

His eyes... those eyes I can't stop staring at are filled with happiness, sparkling as he looks at me. Then focuses on the road again, taking secret looks at me every minute until we the car at the parking lot, me getting out with Kingston, people staring but I could care less.

Though the only thing that's on my mind when I see River is how I saw glasses on River's bed side table and APPARENTLY HE WEARS BIG CUTE GLASSES AND HE DIDN'T TELL ME BECAUSE OF HIS FAT EGO.

Sorry.

I walk into the school, this time River and Kingston at my side. As soon as I walk in, chuckling at something River and Kingston's bickering.

A red head I recognize.

Soon she turns, showing a big grey eyed red head with freckles.

"Melanie?"
