Ugh. Just when you were starting to forget about him.

"What do you want?" you asked.

"I came up to ask Tae if he knew where you were." Jungkook glared at you both. "I guess he does."

You were about to stand up to give Jungkook a piece of your mind, but Taehyung raised his arm out in front of you to signal you to stop.

"There's nothing to worry about, Your Highness." he said calmly to Jungkook. "She's with me."

Jungkook's eyes shifted between the two of you. He didn't move.

"I'll be sure to escort her back to her room." Taehyung added.

"I can take her." Jungkook said.

You folded up your knees and turned your head from him. "No, thank you."

You couldn't see him, but you could feel Jungkook's eyes burning into the back of your head.

"It's no trouble for me. Really." Taehyung cut in. "Enjoy your evening."

There was a tense pause.

"All right." you heard Jungkook say. "If that's what you want."

There was a twinge of regret in his voice. At least, you thought there was. Maybe you were just imagining it.

After Jungkook closed the door behind him, Taehyung nudged you.

"I take it he had something to do with the reason you were crying?"

You shrugged.

"Did he prank you again?"

"No," you admitted. "I just got caught in the Jungkook-Jimin drama."

"Ah. Are you talking about Nara?"

You shot your head back to him. "You know about it?"

He laughed. "All of us know."

"Then why is everyone letting Jimin and Nara go through with this? They all seem miserable about it."

Taehyung sighed and shook his head. "Arranged marriages are complicated. Jimin's especially. But it's not my place to divulge the details."

You gripped your knees. Why was Jimin's marriage so complicated? Why couldn't they just call this off?

Lost in your thoughts, Taehyung nudged you again.

"So are you Team Jimin or Team Jungkook?" he teased.

"I'm Team Nara." you replied. "Every woman should marry a man that loves her."

"Including you."

You paused and nodded. "Sure. But I have too much going on right now to think about that anytime soon."

Taehyung stood and held his hand out to help you up. "I wouldn't rule it out so easily."

"Why's that?"

Taehyung looked like he wanted to say something, but shook his head. "You'll see for yourself."

"You know I don't like surprises, Taehyung."

 "Oh, I know." he said, grinning. "But trust me – you haven't seen the end of them."
