3 ½ months later

"Do you honestly think I'd join a sorority?"

"What? I hear girls make tons of friends that way."

"I'm going to pretend you said that as a joke."

Roman chuckled over the phone as I finished unpacking the last of the boxes. "I'm just saying, you're a natural born leader. Maybe you can take a few girls under your wing?"

"Yes, and compulsorily join in on all the frat parties, you know, mingling with all the wonderful frat boys." I placed my perfume bottle on my bedside and stacked up my favourite books right next to it. They were mainly the ones I took from that library Roman took me too.

"On second thought, maybe don't join a sorority. My roommate's friend is in Delta Phi, and I swear all that guy talks about is beer kegs and screwing girls." I could imagine the cringe on his face.

I laughed, "Fraternities not up your street?"

"I'm going to pretend you said that as a joke."

A stupid smile spread across my lips. I flew to North Carolina two days ago, moved in yesterday afternoon, and my parents flight departed tonight. I was currently unpacking the rest of my belongings alone in my room because my parents were already at the airport, and I was contemplating on going down to the dining hall or just give in and order food.

"Have you gotten to know your roommate that well?" I asked, sitting down on my bed.

"His name's Dan and he's alright. I mean he's not a frat guy, but he did tell me to knock several times very loudly before entering the room in case he has a random girl over." I heard his chuckle through the line.

"Fair enough. People do say college is the time of sexual exploration." I twirled a piece of hair around my finger. It was already getting dark outside, and I noticed a few students leaving the boarding house in partying attire. I wondered if there were any bars nearby or if someone was having a party instead.

"Too bad I did all my sexual exploration in high school." He mocked a sigh through the phone.

"Wow, must've been some girl to teach you all of that."

"Yeah, real vixen."

If I was there, I would have playfully slapped him on the arm but instead I had to settle on biting my lip to contain my smile.

Roman left for Penn before me. Only really a week before but it was a week felt hard. I swear I called him every hour because I missed him so much. His roommate Dan must think I'm some psycho, clingy girlfriend but Roman didn't mind. He was always up for a conversation telling me all the people he'd met and places he'd been. I was proud that he was really coming out of his shell but slightly jealous I wasn't there to be there with him, but sometimes going out of your comfort zone is something you have to do by yourself, and I was happy to cheer from the side-lines.

"When does your roommate move in again? What's her name? Allison?"

"Alexandra." I corrected. "And not till this weekend, but she's from New Mexico so she's pre-sending some of her stuff over." By some of her stuff, I meant plants. Yes, Alexandra was a plant lover which I didn't mind because it gave a nice look to the room.

I managed to find her on Facebook a month before moving in and luckily she was super easy and friendly to reach out to. Apparently, she studied Psychology and was an ABBA superfan.

"Oh yes, how are the plants?" he mused. I was glad to have an incredibly smart boyfriend because he explained photosynthesis better than any of my middle school teachers.

"Good. I'm becoming an amazing plant mama." And by that I meant I haven't killed any of them yet.

Roman softly chuckled, "I had no doubt in you."

I kept wondering what he was doing. Was he in his room? The library? Out about to meet friends? I wanted to be there and just simply be with him. We spent practically every single day together over the summer and now we couldn't be further apart. Urgh, now I was getting emotional.

"I miss you." I suddenly confessed, getting up from my bed.

It was like I sensed his sad smile through the phone, "I miss you too, pretty-girl."

"Please tell me Thanksgiving isn't far."

"Actually, my family and I are heading over to Germany for Thanksgiving. You know, for Skye." He explained.

I groaned, "You're kidding." I was glad they were making efforts to see Skye. Apparently, she was getting on well with the new programme. She still had a long way to go but it was baby steps and each step she took was in the right direction. Despite that, I still wanted to see Roman as soon as possible.

"Yeah, we'll have to wait till Winter Break. Sorry, baby." I could tell he felt bad about it, and he shouldn't because Skye was more important right now and Thanksgiving was a time to be with your family.

"It's okay. We can make it till Christmas." Four months. Only four months. Four months of fucking torture.

"I know." I sighed and paced around the room. "I just miss you. That's all."

"And I miss you too but we're strong, we can get through this." That was the thing, I knew we could. Every single boy I've met or even looked at so far is in no comparison to Roman and he's told me the exact same and to be honest he never really gave any other girl the time of day before me.

So, it wasn't trust that was the issue, it was the absence that hurt the most.

"Just don't be surprised if you come back to your dorm one day and I'm waiting there." I laughed at the thought but in my heart, I was dead serious.

"Naked?" I caught his playful tone. God, this boy.

"Depends. What would you do if I was?" my body leant back against my desk as I twirled another piece of hair with my finger.

"Pretty much fuck you."

I choked at the bluntness and had to place my hand over my mouth to stop myself from laughing. "Baby, that's not how phone sex works."

"Baby, I'm not in the place to have phone sex so I thought honesty was the next best option." Well, he had a point.

"God, I love you." Then I remembered, "Where are you then?"

"Walking around campus. My room got too claustrophobic and the guy next-door to me is playing videogames seriously loud, so I needed to get out for a while."

My eyes flickered to the photo I had framed next to my bed of us at the beach in Brazil. There was a smaller one next to it of us at Graduation.

"Yeah, I need to finish unpacking. Plus, I think more of Alexandra's boxes are arriving tonight." There was a knock at the door. "Urgh, that's probably them, hang on."

Roman laughed, "I'm not going anywhere."

My phone remained up against my ear as I opened the door, expecting to see some random delivery person holding a box full of plants. Yet instead, I set my eyes upon my boyfriend with the most boyish of grins, holding his phone against his ear, his cheeks slightly red from the evening breeze.

"Roman?!" I burst and immediately flung my arms around him, breathing him in, holding him so tight I never wanted to let him go.

"Hey!" he laughed, picking me up off my feet, hugging me even tighter. I didn't care if it hurt because I fucking missed him.

"Oh my God, what are you doing here?!" excitement and confusion bubbled through me like a freaking rocket as he placed me back on my feet.

"You seriously didn't believe I'd let my girlfriend move into college without me there? Besides, I also missed you way too damn much."

I was smiling like a crazy person as I let him step inside and close the door. Within a matter of seconds, he put his phone away and picked me back up again to give me another huge. This time I wrapped my legs around his waist and encircled my arms around his neck.

He placed a long, simple kiss on my lips, "Hi."

"Hi." I happily grinned back. "I can't even believe you're here! Did you drive here?!"

"Yes, and all seven hours were totally worth it." He sighed and kissed me once more.

Just the feeling of being in his arms made all my anxiousness disappear. He calmed me to a point I didn't realise existed and I fell in love with him more and more each second as I gazed into his bright blue eyes.

"Fuck, I seriously missed you way too much."

"Me too." He agreed. "My roommate's probably sick of me always talking about you."

I bit my lip to stop myself from smiling even harder, "What d'you say, hmm?"

"That I've got an insanely stunning, hot, and smart girlfriend in North Carolina who's always missing my sorry ass."

I pressed a kiss to his lips. "He must hate you by now."

"I think he's secretly jealous. He's seen your picture on my nightstand and once drunkenly raved to me that I totally scored."

Laughter escaped my lips. "Maybe I shouldn't visit you butt-naked then in case he gets the wrong idea."

"Hmm, maybe." He mused before kissing me again. He kept kissing me, his tongue swiping the seal of my lips before I opened my mouth and kissed him back deeper. Hungrier.

Suddenly, I felt his cool fingers slid under my top and begin to lift up the material, his knuckles grazing the clasp of my bra. "What are you doing?" I giggled against his lips.

"Getting you naked." He smiled against mine. "I may not be down for phone sex, but actual sex is looking extremely appealing right now. Can I?"

I nodded, lifting my top over my head and reached behind me to unclasp my bra, throwing it behind me somewhere before going back to kissing him.

His hands moulded against my ass and tongue caressed mine. Placing me on the desk, he stepped back and removed his shirt before cupping my face with both hands and kissing me desperately again, feeling the need for more.

My legs instinctively wrapped around him as his lips trailed down to my neck, ravishingly kissing and sucking on my sweet skin.

"God," I moaned, closing my eyes, and tipping my head back, interlacing my fingers through his hair. "I fucking missed you."

"I can't believe I'm going to have to be celibate till Christmas." I thought out loud in Roman's arms as we laid in my bed.

"I don't know, does celibacy include phone sex because we'll have lots of that." Roman's chuckle vibrated beneath me as he played with my hair, twirling the lose locks around his fingers.

We had just had an hour's sex-fest from the desk to the floor then to the desk again and then finally the bed. I needed to bleach this room before Alexandra arrived.

"Rya forced me to buy a vibrator before I left." I abruptly remembered, causing Roman to raise an eyebrow. "What? It's selfcare."

"I just didn't expect that sentence to come out of your mouth at this moment in time." He shrugged.

I yawned, "I'll let you use it on me one day if you like. Could be some fun."

He laughed softly, his chest bouncing beneath me, "I'll consider it."

My lips fell into a happy smile as I snuggled into his chest, resting my ear over his heart, listening to the deep and steady beating. "How long are you here for?" I couldn't help but ask. I wanted him to stay forever but I knew that wasn't possible.

"I'll be here all day tomorrow and then I'll leave the next afternoon. I have some induction classes to attended before the real stuff begins."

I hummed in understanding and kissed right above his heart. "We'll talk every night, right?"

"Every night." He agreed. "And if the other person can't make one night, we'll let each other know beforehand."

"And we can do dates. We'll start a Netflix movie at the same time or something."

"And we'll visit for Valentine's Day and our anniversary. Alternate it. Plus, the fact we'll be back home for Winter, Spring, and Summer Break, I think we'll be seeing a lot more of one another than we expect."

"Good." I wanted to see him as much as possible. Even if it was just his words or breathing down the phone. I wanted every part of this boy I was able to get. "We'll be okay." It wasn't a question but a statement because in my heart and gut, it was obvious we were. We had come so far since the start of Senior Year at high school and now we were Freshmen in college, ready to take on the future with whatever obstacles it threw it us. We'd been through hell, and we weren't losing now.

"We'll be more than okay, pretty-girl." He wrapped his arms around me. "I love you."

My heart melted. "I love you too."

My phone started going off beside me with several text message notifications. I leaned up and Roman pulled his brows together, "Who's that?"

I reached over, staring at the screen which blinded me from the dimly lit room. "It's just our girls group chat. Rya is bitching about half the people in her classes, and it looks like Leah is telling her to take a chill pill."

Roman laughed, "Wow. To be fair, that girl really does need to take a chill pill."

"Literally... aww, Leah sent a picture of the sunset at the beach." I held my phone up to show him.

"Cute." He commented even though I could tell he couldn't care less. Boyfriends.

"Yeah, I forget she's three hours behind." I said before replying back to Rya.

ME: Rya, please go to a therapist or something.

RYA: Bitch, drag me there. Murder looks more appealing than talking about my 'feelings'.

ME: Point proven.

LEAH: Come to L.A, I swear half the people here remind themselves to act 'zen' every five minutes. I swear one girl thanked her smoothie barista with 'namaste' and everyone acted like it was completely normal.

RYA: LOL! L.A's sounding more like a cult by the minute. I swear a pigeon gave me the finger this morning, but I guess that's NYC for you.

RYA: Also Leah, stop trying to distract me from my murder plan!

LEAH: Dude, sometimes I really worry for you.

I laughed at the conversation and let the two of them continue chatting as I placed my phone back on the nightstand.

"How d'you think Rya's going to cope with the pressure of college?" Roman's voice brought me back.

I snorted, "Pretty sure she's devising murders for half her class as we speak."

"Jesus." He ran a hand over his face. "That girl needs a therapist."

"That's what I said." I sang and snuggled further into his chest.

I liked remaining in silence with him. He always had this thing about him that gave you peace and comfort, made you feel safe and protected, and it was the most refreshing thing in the world. Even without us talking, I could understand why he liked spending so much time in the quiet, it allowed me to realise so much in such a short amount of time. This boy was always going to cause wonders in me.

"How d'you think she'll react when she finds out Christopher is in New York too." He suddenly spoke, gently cutting through the quietness.

I paused in my train of thought and lifted my head up to look at him. Wait what? "Wait what?"

A smirk rose to his lips, "You didn't know?"

"No!" I burst. Oh my God, Rya would freak!

Roman's laughs vibrated under me, bouncing heavily on his chest, "He got into NYU. Less than thirty minutes away from Columbia if I'm correct."

"Oh, fuck no. She'll kill him if she sees him!" the hypothetical expression on her face made fear rise in my stomach, but also some sick sort of amusement. That poor girl.

Roman's laugh only got harder, "You're telling me."

"Let's just hope she doesn't run into him." I begged and facepalmed into his chest, letting my hair trail down my back.

"Yep. I could only imagine the chaos that would go down."

I chuckled some more into his hot chest before I felt his hans  trail down to my ass, squeezing the soft skin before caressing with his palms.

I bit my tongue as a smirk lifted my lips. "We already spent an hour fucking." I rose my head to see his teasing expression.

"It was only an hour." He reasoned, his piercing blue eyes gazing seductively into mine.

My hand rested above his heart, splaying out my fingers, "Who would have thought I could turn you so insatiable?" I mused, placing small kisses up to his jawline.

"Only you, pretty-girl." He whispered as I kissed along his jaw.

My lips left his skin and my eyes stared into his once again. "I'm tired though." I sheepishly admitted. Roman only smirked a taunting smile.

"I'll make you a deal."

"Oh really?" I raised a sceptical eyebrow. "And what is this deal, hmm?"

"Well, considering I'm this amazing sex god now –" I cut him off by bursting into a small fit of giggles.

" – and you're this adorable, little, nerdy bookwork now."

"You take that back!" I slapped his shoulder playfully.

His smirk only grew, and he brushed a piece of hair behind my ear and held my chin with his first finger and thumb, his lips seeming oh-so delicious right now.

"Maybe we could come up with a small tutoring arrangement."

I was smiling completely stupid. "Mmm, yes. I mean, you might fail college without my help."

He grabbed my ass once more, "And you might get absolutely zero lays without my help. So?"

"So?" our lips were so close they were lingering, both our breaths hot and heavy, our skin scorching in a kind so desire we would never get bored of.

"Do we have a deal?" his breath tickled my nose.

My eyes flickered from his lips to his eyes, and back to his lips again. Licking my own, I inched myself forward, so they pressed as light as a feather against his.

"Deal."
