The last thirty weeks has been a breeze.

Well not a total breeze as Kelsie has had a hard time being pregnant. It seems like morning sickness clocked in hard when she hit eleven weeks which the doctor said is late in the trimester but it stuck around well up until a few weeks ago. She had so much trouble gaining the weight the doctor kept wanting her to reach but has finally gained it in the last couple of weeks.

Her mom, Emily, officially put her notice in to the daycare she has worked at for years. Now she is with my Mom and the others here at the house when they cook for catering jobs and even helps the cooking and watching kids. Kelsie will sit in the back during an event with Talitha and Joseph watching and helping when one of the others take a break to watch the kids so she can still do a little work too.

Scenix clothing has taken a massive turn and grown even more. We just hostessed the winter event a week ago, making is early since it normally would have been this week sometime, but I couldn't do it knowing this week is packed full.

Naida and Kelvin are watching Talitha for us while we are now on the way to the hosptial. The doctor told us a month ago that when Kelsie got to thirty-nine weeks she would be induced. So here we are on the way to the hosptial early this morning after dropping Talitha off with lots of loves from us both. We had made sure to make these last few days special and she is so excited when we talk about the baby we are fixing to have.

Talitha is seven months old and it is funny how she can already sass just as if she is Kelsie's mini me. She can crawl everywhere and has started to pull herself up to stand for short periods at a time.

Kelsie and I have no clue what the gender of the baby is, as we wanted to keep it a surprise for birth. Our family has been chopping at the bits and making guesses, which we laugh at. Also we have no clue what the name will be since we want the gender to be a surprise we didn't want to have a list of names or one picked out for each gender. We want it to be similair to when we got Talitha, just a surprised gender and let the name come to us as we see our newborn child.

"Are you ready to meet our next baby soon?" Kelsie asks next to me as I park the car.

I turn to look at her and her eyes are sparkling so much happiness and I know mine are too.

"I am over excited." I smile and lean over capturing her lips.

When we pull apart Kelsie smirks. "I don't want to rush anything but I am excited for when we can be together again, but I am definitely getting on birth control again."

"If that is what you want to do." I smile.

"It is since we will be having two under a year old." She laughs. "I am so happy with how our lives have turned out together. I have never been happier and more in love with you than ever."

"I love you with all my heart Kelsie. You brought me so many things I never knew I was missing in my life."

I get out of the car and round it to help her out. Then I grab the one bag we have packed with our clothes and then a going home outfit for the baby in a neutral onsies. I look at the car seats in the back and can't help but smile wide.

It is bad when you have two car seats each to where when Talitha goes anywhere they have the spare car seat for her and now there is another spare at the house for when needed for this baby.

We walk in and get signed in. Within no time, Kelsie is hooked up the monitors and they begin the induction process.

I sit in a chair by Kelsie and hold her hand.

The contractions start and we wait as things progress.

21 hours later............

"You done it Cookie." I break from kissing her head and face long enough to praise her.

"Is the baby okay?" Kelsie huffs, catching her breath from the last two hours of pushing.

"Listen, Cookie." I whisper and kiss her again.

The sounds of our newborn baby fill the air. Kelsie kisses my lips and then the nurse brings the baby bundled over to us.

"Congratulations. You have a beautiful baby girl." The nurse smiles, as she lays the baby in Kelsie's arms.

My eyes misty over and I could care less if I have become the crying, happy sap of a father. I done it with Talitha and I will do it now with our second daughter.

I am a girl dad. Makes me smile at the thought. I will protect them and spoil them all I can.

"She is beautiful." Kelsie sobs.

"She is."

"She is ours, just like Talitha." Kelsie looks up to me and kisses me again.

"What should we name her?" I touch her cheek.

"Hmm. What about Hartley Nell Scenix?"

"Perfect. A hard thing not to fall in love with a peaceful and beautiful meadow." I nod.

"How do you always know the meaning of names?" Kelsie laughs lightly.

"Call it a gift." I laugh and she kisses me again.

Within a couple of hours everyone comes to visit. The family gushes over Hartley and then they all leave out before Naida and Kelvin get here with Joseph and our first daughter.

When they arrive, Kelsie has already been able to get up from the bed and move around slowly.

I pick up Talitha and Joseph ambles over to Kelsie. He looks at Hartley in her pink blanket and smiles.

"Talitha should see her sissy first." Joseph smiles wide and goes back to Naida.

I walk over with Talitha after giving her hugs and a kiss on the cheek.

Talitha reaches for Kelsie and I sit her on the bed next to Kelsie. Then I pick Hartley up from the bassinet and place her in Kelsie's arm then sit on the very edge of the hosptial bed with my girls.

"Talitha, this is your baby sister Hartley." Kelsie smiles and looks at Talitha as she tells her.

Talitha looks over and smiles so wide. "Ba-ba. Ba-ba."

Kelsie smiles and we all laugh lightly.

"That is a beatiful name." Naida and Kelvin move closer to look at her.

My phone pings and I pull it out to see Kelvin's number. I look up at him and he smirks.

"I took a photo for you as a family of four."

"Thanks man." I smile.

"Don't mention it but you will want a picture of this happy day. Although, I should buy you some headphones and a stock in female products when your girls get older." Kelvin laughs.

"I wouldn't say much dear. All these babies around and Joseph being over two maybe we should start trying for another." Naida smirks with a tease.

Kelvin gulps audibly making us all laugh.

I let them know that they can head out if they want. My parents were coming by again later on this evening and is going to take Talitha to spend the night with them.

We are left alone in the room as a small family of four. I have never felt so complete. Kelsie has taught and brought me so much love into my life that I would have missed out on otherwise. Because this part of me seems to have been waiting just for her. Kelsie taught me to love and be loved. I can't wait to watch our girls grow up and grow old with Kelsie.
