Kelsie and I stop by a market she likes to use before going to her house. I watch her in her zone and shopping for food, the entire time she seems relaxed and picks up several different things.

I carry them into her house for her and I wash up right after she does. Keslie goes right to pulling out pans and different things.

"So what are you making?" I finally ask out of curiousity, since I can't wait until the food is done first but even then I may not know.

"Pan fried pork chops with applesauce and vegetable fried rice."

"What is with these then?" I point to the cucumbers.

"Well, those are going to make my sister-in-law very happy when I whip up a couple cucumber sandwiches for the side." Kelsie smirks.

"Where can I help?" I look around.

"Slice the cucumber please." She sets a knife on the counter, along with another thing.

"That is a slicer that you can just move it back and forth on the opening, if you aren't good with knives."

"I will stick to the knife." I nod.

I move over to the cutting board with the things since I have already watched her wash them off. Kelsie moves about and preps the sandwiches while other things are just steadily cooking.

"Are you nervous?"

I look over to her on my side. "A little but not overly nervous. I think the date was more of a worry for me but the way your so calm seems to be rubbing off on me there. Just like how you are with with me whiling learning our other part to us that started first."

Kelsie nods. "It seems we rub off energy on each other." She giggles a little.

"I am not nervous, just more like wondering how my parents will be. They are total workaholics as I have told you before, but Mom can have energy out of this world and wants me to experience life as she puts it. While Dad has always been protective of me and never liked past boyfriends."

That admission has the nerves kick up a notch where I was just a little now it is up moreso.

The back door opens and Kelsie turns to smile at the couple. Kelvin and Naida, it honestly eases the nerves with them coming before her parents since how I have met her brother and sister-in-law before even if it had been brief.

Kelsie puts the spatula down and is quick to hug her brother and Naida.

"Come in and get comfy. Kelvin, Naida, I hope you remember Aiden from the fashion show we catered too." Kelsie smiles looking over to me.

"Yeah. Nice to see you again." Kelvin steps out and offers his hand to shake, so I do.

"I remember you Mr. Scenix." Naida nods slightly as she steps up to Kelvin and he palces an arm around her shoulder.

"Please just Aiden." I nod back to Naida.

She smiles and then pulls from Kelvin to turn to Kelsie. "Need any help?"

"Not at all, you just relax. Aiden has been a big help in here today. Oh, also check out the fridge there is a little surprise for you on the top shelf on a plate."

Big help my backside, she has done everything pretty much.

Naida flits over to the fridge and there is a smile a mile wide on her face when she sees the sandwiches.

The back door opens again and in walk a nice middle aged couple walking in. The woman goes straight for Kelsie and hugs her tight, while swinging their bodies side to side. Kind of puts me in mind of a woman on a sugar rush with her personality as it stands from the movements anyways.

"It is always so good to see my baby." The woman sighs and smiles when she pulls back to look over Kelsie. "Something is different about you though. Like you are glowing."

The man walks up and shakes my hand. "Owen, nice to meet you."

"Aiden." I shake his hand.

"Don't mind those two. Emily has a habit of distracting Kelsie to where she can't talk until after Emily gives our little girl all the smuthering she can."

"Stop that Owen. I don't smuther our little girl. I have to look over her and make sure she is doing good, but she is still to thin." Emily dashes over to Owen, and I stand firm on her being on a sugar rush or something.

"Aiden, meet my parents Owen and Emily." Kelsie walks over to stand by me.

"So everyone can make themselves comfy. Or may I guess what it was your guys were wanting to announce?" Kelsie raises an eyebrow to Kelvin and Naida.

Emily turns around and makes a face before smiling. "Naida dear is those cucumbers in that sandwich?"

Naida blushes and nods then swallows. "Cats out of the bag but I am three months pregnant. We tested and went to the doctor for a quick check when after the last event I finally found the things I been craving which is the cucumbers. Something I have always hated before."

Kelsie being closer to Naida gets to her first and hugs her. Emily is quick to be next and Owen walks over to hug her next, while Kelvin stood by and they hugged him too.

I stay standing where I have been and Kelsie walks over to be close to me. She washes her hands and then tends to the food. With her back turned to the others, I'm the only one that can see her face.

There is something that passes over her face quickly. It seems like sadness and longing, but it passes by so quickly that I barely catch it. Then it hits me what she said the doctors have told her and my chest gets a sudden pain through it for her. I couldn't imagine how she must feel when others she knows is able to have kids and she knows her chances are not there.

Kelsie looks up and sees me looking, she smiles and the other features she had fades away.

A major part of me didn't like seeing what looked like sadness pass over her just a moment before. I would do anything she needs me to do to never see that again on her beautiful face.
