SUNDAY

"MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!"

You topple forward, teetering on your heels, the alcohol coursing through your blood; just in the right state of drunk, giggly but totally in control of your own thoughts.

"Isn't a bit early to be shouting merry Christmas?" You ask Cho as she giggles hysterically into her cocktail, it's only the second week of December; the rest of your co- workers or ex- co-workers as they are now, laugh at her drunken antics.

"Never too late my child! Sorry I mean, early... I mean, shit I think I'm drunk!" Cho laughs taking another swig of her bright orange drink.

You smile right at her, taking in the scene around you; you've known all of these people for the last five years, working tirelessly in the media office of the prestige chocolate makers company building just outside of Seoul. The job was fun and you got along well with all of these people who are now getting steadily more and more drunk in the neon lights of the bar.

"Yeah you meant early and, I'm not a child, but you're drunk so I'll forgive you..." you shout into Cho's ear, although you doubt she's even listening properly by now.

"We have to say merry Christmas now, because you're leaving us!" Jia says, a pout to her lips.

"I told you, I didn't have much choice, it just wasn't paying the money anymore..." you answer sadly; you remember so clearly the moment the management came down into the offices and announced that they were going to have to cut hours in some positions and of course it had to be yours that was affected. You started worrying about rent, about everything life keeps throwing at you until one night when you were trawling over the internet you saw the advert for a CEO assistant job in Seoul, for the biggest stationary company in the whole of South Korea.

"When do you start? You know... the new job?" Jia snuffles.

"Tomorrow morning" you screw your face up in an awkward expression; god who's idea was it again to have a Christmas party, come leaving do, the night before your new job?

"Shit gurl! You better not drink anymore..." Jia laughs and leans in to hug you before smiling, "... I'll miss you though..." then she's gone, off across the dance floor to swing on Marc's neck.

The reality of starting the new job tomorrow suddenly hits you, and the need to sober up fast is smashing you straight in the face; "I'm just going to get a drink of water Cho, I'll be back in a few, okay?" You tap her arm but her head is back, eyes closed, swinging her body side to side until she almost falls into Lucas.

"Shit! Yeah okay Y/N... I'll stick by her, make sure she's okay" Lucas answers, as he grabs for a drunken Cho.

You wander across the dance floor and towards the bar which is considerably more crowded then when you all arrived a couple hours previous; the area surrounding the bar is teaming, you sigh almost ready to give up and find a seat instead, but then a tiny gap opens up right near the bar and you move in.

"Hi..."

A man's deep voice drags you from the thoughts of starting your new job in the morning and when you look up, you're almost certain, he's the most handsome looking man you've ever had the pleasure of casting your eyes upon.

He has on some tight but smart looking suit trousers, his black shirt sleeves rolled up with an array of tattoos up his lower right arm, which you imagine is a whole sleeve, a few even scattering his hand and his fingers, his dark hair is roughly pushed back, but in a neat fashion like he probably stood styling it just right, in front of a mirror before he left for the bar and the neon lights in the bar were reflecting and sparkling off all his piercings; three hoops in his left ear, six shiny studs in his right ear, a silver lip ring in the right side of his bottom lip and a curved barbell in his right eyebrow.

"Erh... hi?" You answer shyly.

Is he even talking to you? Surely not?

"Let me buy you a drink, you look like you're celebrating something..." the dark haired man tips his head towards your co-workers and then raises an eyebrow at you.

Has he been watching you?

"Oh... right..." you giggle, a blush rising to your cheeks, thank god for the dimly lit bar, if only the neon lights weren't quite as bright. "... you've seen all that?" You point a finger in the direction of where Cho is swinging around Lucas like he's a pole.

"Kind of... I mean, someone caught my attention" the man's eyes sparkle like his jewellery as he stares at you.

"Oh... okay"

"I mean you, by the way... you caught my attention" the man smiles, leaning onto the bar but his eyes never leaving you.

"Right that's... I was actually just after a drink of water I, I think I've drank too much for one night... I..."

Why the hell are you already tripping over your words? Normally you don't allow anyone to affect you!

But him- he's beautiful!

"You don't seem overly drunk, let me buy you one drink, then you can tell me what you're all celebrating?" His eyebrows rise up and a smile tugs on the corners of his mouth.

"Oh, it's just like an early Christmas bash, I, I'm leaving my job with them, starting new somewhere else, so, we kinda rolled it all into one thing" you smile, his eyes are captivating.

His tattoos look like they need to be looked at and admired in detail to appreciate them even more.

"Even more reason for me to buy you a drink then, so, come on what you drinking?" The man tips his fingers towards the bar and waits.

"Okay fine, just one, I'll have a vodka soda" you give in and to be honest, you just want an excuse for this handsome man to keep talking to you.

"Coming right up!"
