I just finished tying the lace of my black sneakers when there was a knock on my door.
I sling my backpack over my back and headed towards the door. I opened the door and Ryan smiled as his gaze fell on me.
He dressed casually, "Are you ready?" He asked, and I nodded, my chocolate brownish hair was curtaining both sides of my face.
"Yeah," I answered, clutching my left fingers on my backpack straps.
Ryan moved from the doorway and I walked out while he closed my door behind me.
After, locking the front door of the house, I trailed behind Ryan to his sports car. It was getting late at night.
Ryan, opened the back seat for me while I stared at him questioningly.
"Drop your backpack in the back seat, I already have the tents and sleeping bag in the trunk," He informed me while I nodded as I moved closer to him.
I dropped my backpack in the back seat and walked to the passenger's door and unlocked it.
I slumped into the leather seat while Ryan closed the backseat door and made his way to the driver's seat.
Ryan started his car and drove out of the compound...
~~
Ryan, parked his car at one of the available spaces in Washington Park, it was very late, and I wondered if there was anyone who would let us in, I saw other cars and saw Micah, Jace, and Leo, waiting for us.

I came down from the car, the chilly air blowing through my hair and face.
"You brought Hailey," I heard Brielle's voice as she showed up behind Jace's car and walked to where I was standing.
"I did," Ryan answered dryly, I gave Brielle an awkward smile, and she nodded, walking over to Ryan who was bringing out the tents and sleeping bags.
"What's up man," Micah greeted Ryan as he got closer to us while I opened the back seat and grabbed my backpack.
"Let's get going, before the security guards catch us," Jace suddenly said as he raised his head from his phone like sometimes I wonder what's the connection between him and his phone.
"Are we sneaking in?" I asked him curiously, and he shrugged at me.
"Yes," Micah answered as he smiled at me while I stared at Jace who took a backpack from the back seat of his car.
He hardly talks most of the time, it was always him and his phone, he only talked when he needed to or when he was asked for an opinion.
Leo was carrying a tent whose color was different from Ryan's then he walked into the woods.
Then, I saw Brielle's other friends giggling among themselves as they stepped out of the other car.
My eyes fell on Kyra, who was wearing a bum short and blue wooly hoodie, and she also stared at me and glanced away acting like we were strangers, yeah, we are strangers, we don't even talk, and she never apologized for what she did pouring me a bucket of ice cubes and cold water at Ryan's apartment.
She's just arrogant...
I dragged my gaze away from her while the rest were busy packing their stuff.
"Come on, Hailey, let's get going," Ryan said as he got closer to me while I nodded, his muscles stretched as he carried the tent and sleeping bags.
"Do you need help with those?" I questioned, moving closer to him, Brielle was at the other side.
"No, you can help me out with my backpack and help lock the car," He said.
"Where's your car key?" I asked him.
"Check my pocket," He muttered, staring at me.
"Which of them?" I asked him, moving closer to him and maintaining eye contact with him.
"The left," He informed, I moved closer to him, and my eyes fell on Brielle who staring awkwardly at us.
I shoved my hands into the left pocket of his trouser, felt the tingling sounds of his key, and grabbed it immediately.
"Got it," I told him, smiling, and moved back away from him.
Jace, Micah, and Brielle's three other friends were already entering the woods while Leo was just coming back from the woods, they chuckled among themselves.
I noticed Ryan was waiting for me while Brielle was stuck by his side.
I quickly grabbed Ryan's backpack from the trunk and shut it, then pressed the button of his car key and the car beeped.
I carried Ryan's backpack and went over to him.
"We can get going," I told Ryan, and he nodded.
We entered the woods, and sneaked our way through the woods, and the security guards didn't even know when we entered.
The place is enormous, and we kept walking deep into the woods, I hit my foot on a stone and I winced slightly.
"Are you hurt?" Ryan asked immediately, although it was dark, I could see he was very concerned.
"I'm fine," I assured, and Brielle switch on the torch on her phone and pointed it towards my leg.
"I think she's fine, we should get going," Brielle said, and I nodded.
"You better switch off the lights before we get caught," I chuckled and began walking.
Brielle switched off her phone, and we continued walking until we couldn't see the park itself.
Soon, we saw the rest, they had already dropped their tents and were waiting for us. The found a beautiful spot that was not far from the little lake in front of us, which was shimmering under the reflection of the full moonlight.
The land was enough for us to build our tent and hell, yeah, we would be needing a fire to keep us warm because it was fucking chilly outside here.
Ryan, Brielle, and I got to where the rest were, Ryan dropped the tents and sleeping bags on the floor and came over to me. He collected both of our backpacks and dropped them where he dropped the tents and sleepiness bags.
"We need to get woods for the fire," Leo spoke, coming closer to us.
"Hailey and I will get to the woods, you can set up the tents while we are gone," Ryan said, and I shot my gaze at him suspiciously.
'Why must I be the one to follow him get the woods?' I thought with a frown, folding my hands together.
"Perhaps I can come along too," Brielle offered.
"No!"
"Yes!"
Ryan and I said at the same time, snapping our gaze to Brielle, Ryan was glaring at Brielle while I was smiling at her.
"I guess we need as many woods as possible, so, let Brielle follow us," I insisted and Ryan frowned at me.
"Okay, fine," Ryan grumbled and started walking away while I breathed out slowly.
