"But Uncle Harsh, how can I leave from here so early." Gauri tried to convince Harsh to let her stay back, she knew one day she had to leave but thinking that she had to leave Omkara so soon, made her heart bleed.

"Gauri, it's not safe for you to stay there longer, especially when the team is planning to expose Shakti. Besides we still don't know whether Khanna saw you or not, hiding under the table, which is a threat for you and the organisation. So, it better to evacuate you soon. We planned everything be ready in an hour." Harsh said and cut the call before Gauri could speak.

Gauri fell to the ground clutching the mobile as tears rolled down her face, with the thought leaving Omkara. She cursed heart that made her fall in love with him, when she knew they had no future together.

"Anamika." Omkara smiled as she walked inside his room. "You are late today, I have been waiting for you."

Gauri looked at Omkara with red eyes, as fresh tears burned her eyes. She doesn't have much time with him. Once she exists the Oberoi Mansion, she can't come back to him. It was against the organisation's policy.

"Anamika." Omkara called as he didn't get any reply from her.

Gauri walked and hugged Omkara without a word, wrapping her arms around his torso.

"You are silent today, did anything happen? Did Abhay misbehave with you?" He asked, the last part gritting his teeth, as he hugged her tight.

"No." Gauri shook her head against Omkara's chest.

"What happened, baby?" Omkara asked as he kissed her temple, looking at her in a loving manner.

Gauri broke down into loud sobs as she continued hugging Omkara, as she felt her heart break with the thought of being away from him forever. She could never be in his arms again, she could never hold him so closely again. She wished for the time to stop, so that she could stay in his arms forever.

Omkara rubbed her back as he let her cry in his arms, as he mumbled soothing words to her.

"Please tell me what happened?" Omkara urged her once her cries subsided.

"My mother's health deteriorated and she needs me by her side." Gauri cried sticking to the lie, Harsh has woven.

"I am sorry to hear that, but I wish that she gets back to health. We can get her treated by the best doctors in the city, I am sure she would be fit and fine in no time. You don't worry about the bill, I will take care of that." Omkara consoled her.

"She doesn't need all that, she needs me by her side. I have to leave, Om." Gauri cried.

"What do you mean by leave? You will come back once she is fine right?" Omkara asked as his heart dreaded in fear as he tightened his grip on her.

"No." Gauri sobbed, "I am leaving forever."

"No, I can't let you go." Omkara shook his head, "You can't leave me, you are mine. I love you, Anamika." He said holding her so tight, that it hurt her but the pain was no meagre infront of the pain she was going through emotionally.

"We can never be together, Omkara. We were never meant to be together." Gauri spoke through her tears.

"Is it because you are married? Or we come from different economic class? I don't care about your status or your past, I care about you. You are all I want. If you are ok, you can sign the divorce papers and end your relationship." Omkara reasoned.

"I wish it is as easy as you are making it, Om. But reality is harsh. I have to leave now." Gauri said as she tried to step away from Omkara.

"Why are you being so stubborn." Omkara asked as he held her in his arms, "I know you love me, and I love you too, society and people be damned, please stay with me, Anamika. I never felt so happy in my life with anyone, after my parents left me. I was happy being on your side, please don't leave me back in the dark loneliness. I won't be able to survive this time." Omkara begged.

"I am sorry, Om." Gauri cried cupping his face.

"Please, don't leave me, please..." Omkara cried, "I love you, I can't live without you." He said as kissed her taking her lips into his.

His kiss was hard, possessive and demanding.

Gauri wrapped her hands around Omkara's shoulder as he kissed her with a vigour, she could feel his pain and anguish in kiss, she rubbed his back as she made a futile attempt to console him. She started kissing him back with all her love, as their tongues battles with each other.

"Please stay back, Anamika." Omkara begged leaning his forehead against hers after breaking the kiss.

"I can't stay even if I want to, I am sorry, Om." Gauri said as she tried to wiggled out of his arms.

"Please..." Omkara cried as he held her tight.

"Omkara, please stop this madness." Gauri urged as she forced herself out of his grip.

"I would die, Anamika." Omkara cried falling to the ground on his knees.

"Please don't say such words." Gauri begged him. "I would die if anything happens to you." She said as she hugged him, "I love you, Om. You are the only person, I loved so much in my life, and sadly we don't have a future together. I wish things were different. But remember no matter how things are, and what people say, I love you, and I will always love you." Gauri said as she kissed him on his lips.

"Good bye, Om." Gauri said as she stepped away from him.

"Don't leave me..." Omkara shouted in anguish as she opened the door to leave his room.

"I love you, Omkara." Gauri said for the last time before she closed the door behind her, trying to block the helpless cries of Omkara behind the door.

"Gauri, here's your plane ticket." Harsh said as he walked inside Gauri's room.

It's been a week since she left Oberoi Mansion and Omkara, but Omkara's heart breaking cries were still afresh in her mind. She missed him a lot more than she thought she would. There wasn't a day she cursed her fate for seperating her from the man she loved.

Soon after she left Oberoi Mansion, Shakti and Pinky Oberoi were arrest along with their sons, on the charge of murder and conspiracy of Tej and Jhanvi Oberoi, and Maya Camero. The Oberoi's were currently the hot news in the town as Shakti Oberoi's arrest on charges of Murder, and his links with human trafficking mafia surfaced. Apparently no one suspected anything since it was shown to the world that during the raids to investigate Maya Camero's murder the police suspected Shakti's links to Mafia and on further investigation, Shakti Oberoi confessed his links with Human Trafficking and gave further information to police about the whereabouts of the mafia.

Unknown to the world, the police had already began the mission to save hundreds of children from the human traffickers and as soon as Shakti was detained within no time, raids where performed and the children aging from four to eighteen were saved by police and they are trying to locate and get back the other children and woman, who were sold as slaves to other countries.

There were faces of Oberoi's all over the media, news and papers, except for the certain Oberoi, Gauri's heart hoped to get a glimpse of.

"Gauri, would you stop crying like a weak person, I am getting bored seeing your tears everyday." Harsh said getting irritated.

"I am a weak person, Uncle Harsh. I am a weak and stupid person to fall in love when I know I can't have him in my life." Gauri sniffed wiping her tears.

Harsh took a deep breath and sat beside Gauri on the window ledge.

"Gauri." Harsh said, taking her hand into his, "I can understand what you must be going through, I had been there, and felt that heart break, when I left behind my Naina to join the organisation. That's why I have always warned you to stay away from love and not to get attached to the people. The profession we are in, is always posed to threats from the enemies. When we step out on a mission, we don't know if we would return home or not, sometimes people die and their loved ones would never know, and they keep on waiting for years for them to return in vain. Do you want Omkara to go through that pain, Gauri?" He asked her.

"No." Gauri shook her head.

"I know it's hard for you, but you have to move on, it's good for you and Omkara. Here are the tickets to New York, go and pursue your masters. The organisation has credited the funds into your account. Dandi has already made arrangements for your stay there and he would be there to help you with things, since he is going there on a mission." Harsh explained.

"Thank you." Gauri nodded.

"Is there anything else, I could help you with?" Harsh asked.

Gauri pulled out an envelope from her bedside drawer.

"I want this letter to be delivered to one Shivaay Singh Randhawa, who studied with Omkara in Emerald Mount College." Gauri said forwarding the envelope to Harsh.

"No, Gauri. I can't do that." Harsh shook his head, "You have to forget Omkara and move on, why are you still thinking about him." He frowned.

"Uncle Harsh, Please... Do me this one favour and I promise you to never try to find out about Omkara." Gauri requested, "Please, it's important."

Harsh contemplated for few minutes.

"I promise you, Uncle Harsh." Gauri repeated.

"Fine, I will have it delivered to Shivaay." Harsh said, taking the envelope from Gauri.

"Please, make sure it reaches to him and he reads it." Gauri said to Harsh, as he was about to leave the room.

"I will have my best men to find and deliver it to Shivaay Singh Randhawa, rest assured." Harsh said, "Start packing your bags, your flight leaves in four hours." He said before closing the door behind him.

"Goodbye, Omkara. Not everyone gets a happy ending, but the memories that stay with us forever. You are going to be one such memory of mine that's going to travel with me all my life, I love you." Gauri whispered looking at the sky, as she boarded the plane and left for her destination.

                        The End.
