"Asia please put your shirt on" I groaned running up the stairs after her. Marcellus had sat me down and we went over how much he would be paying me and he also got to know me. I was currently trying to get his little monster ready for bed but she was running all over the house with just her underwear on.

"This is how my mommy walks around the house" she giggled sliding her underwear off, throwing it at my face. I threw the underwear to the side and took a deep breath before running after her. This child was really testing my patience and getting on my last nerve.

"You are a little girl, you're suppose to wear clothes Asia" I said once I caught her. She frowned as I held her to the side of me like a laundry basket and picked up her clothes. She was suppose to be in bed by now but she decided she wanted to run butt ass naked through the house. Thank God I dried her off enough before she took off running out the bathroom.

"If mommy do it then I do it too" she argued as I brought her to her bedroom.

"No your mommy is an adult and you're a child, there's some things you're not allowed to do" I tried explaining but his little girl was hard headed. I had only been watching her for a few weeks and I swear I got a gray strand in my hair already. I quickly got her clothes on and laid her in bed pulling the covers up to her chin.

"I can't go to sleep" she crossed her arms and glared at the ceiling.

"Why not?" I sighed.

"My daddy always give me candy" she smiled lying threw her teeth. I was about to respond but the sound of the front door opening and closing made me smile. Marcellus' voice sounded through out the house and his heavy foot steps were heard. I left the room and Asia was right behind me and she jumped on Marcellus as soon as he came up the stairs.

"Dang you look like all your life you had to fight" Marcellus laughed making me give him the middle finger since Asia's back was turned to me.

"Your little princess kept me on my feet all day" I said giving him a tight lipped smile.

"Good girl, we ain't paying her for nothing right?" He smiled as Asia giggled and high fived him. I simply rolled my eyes at the two but I always couldn't help but smile. You could really tell that he loved his daughter and he would kill for her. Marcellus didn't want Asia around her mother because she brought anybody around her. He didn't trust her to watch Asia so he hired me to watch her when he couldn't so she didn't have to stay with her mother. They had joint custody but her mother got her on the weekends.

"Akikiki real cute" I made a face at the both of them.

"It's raining real bad outside, I could just take you home in the morning and drop you off at your school" Marcellus said making me turn around and look out the window. The rain was coming down pretty hard but I know my mom would worry about me all night if I didn't come home. Then again I didn't want Marcellus driving in this weather especially with Asia in the car.

I went to reply but the sound of the doorbell made me stop. I wondered who that was and hoped it wasn't his brother or some broad. The other day I was babysitting, some girl popped up and went crazy when she saw me.

"I'll be back" he said handing Asia over to me. She plopped her head down on my shoulders and played with my ears. I knew she was finally getting sleepy after running around all day.

I walked back into her room and tucked her in her bed making sure to put the guard rails up. I suggested them to Marcellus because she kept falling off the bed and he just said she'll learn to stop falling off. I walked over to the wall near her bed and flicked her night light on. If she woke up at all and it wasn't on, she would scream nonstop.

I stepped out her room and left the door cracked a little before going downstairs. I heard Marcellus running his loud ass mouth in the livingroom and the voice of a female.

"Yo I got somebody over here and my daughter right upstairs. I can't have all this shit out right now, fuck you bring her here for" Marcellus said.

"I don't care if you got the pope upstairs, you need to handle your business. This bitch is a fucking snake and I ain't a fan of them or rats" the female said sounding angry. I was highly confused on what exactly was going on. Leaning over I peeked into the living room and gasped when I saw a bloody body on the floor. Reese was also in the room but he sitting back chilling like this was normal. I slowly backed away but tripped over my own feet blowing my cover.

"Shit" I cursed myself and stood up seeing Marcellus, Reese and that female staring at me. I slowly stood to my feet and chewed on my bottoms lip nervously.

"Why she here?" Reese asked.

"She's the babysitter I hired"

"This who you got watching Asia?" Reese asked looking disgusted with me.

"She's pretty" The girl said looking me up and down.

"Nah Nayeli cool, you ain't gon speak about anything that goes on in this household right?" Marcllus asked lifting his shirt to reveal a gun.

"No I didn't even hear or see anything, I was just coming downstairs to tell you that I'll just catch a cab home" I lied.

"No cabs coming out in this weather, a tree fell blocking the entire road so we're stuck here too" the girl said.

"Get my living room cleaned up and y'all could just stay here"

"I should've stayed my ass home" Reese mumbled.

"Y'all could grab the guest rooms, don't do no shit in here, my daughter right upstairs sleeping" Marcellus warned them before grabbing my arm and dragging me to the kitchen.

"I ain't trying to scare your ass, from the shooting you could probably guess we into some shit. I like you, you a cool chick but if you run your mouth and say anything about what you saw, and get me taken away from my daughter, it's gonna be a problem" he threatened hovering over me.

"I won't say anything, I've hung around guys who've probably done a lot worse" I admitted.

"Yeah we'll you ain't never met a nigga like me" he smirked.

"Yeah you're one of a kind" I said sarcastically.

"I know, lemme show you where you sleeping though" he said walking out the kitchen. I followed behind him as he went up the steps. He walked to his room and grabbed a few things before handing them to me.

"So which rooms are they taking?" I asked looking at the closed doors in the hallways.

"I don't know, whichever room is empty is yours" he shrugged. He opened up the first door and I wish he wouldn't have. Rhyan was on top of Reese giving him head while he scrolled through his phone.

"I told y'all not to do no shit in my house" Marcellus said before slamming the room door.

I scrunched my face up in disgust after walking away from the room door. I'm glad I didn't keep my things in the spare bedroom. Asia always dragged my things in her room so she could play with my makeup.

Marcellus opened the other room door and I smiled walking in sitting on the huge bed.

"You good?" Marcellus asked stepping in after me and taking a seat on the bed next to me.

"Yeah I'm fine" I nodded.

"Reese is gonna come around, that nigga just love acting like a bitter ass old man at first." He laughed.

"Why is he like that, I barely know him and it seems like he hates my ass. I don't like his disrespectful ass around me" I said thinking about how rude his is each time we encounter each other.

"We ain't have the best situation growing up. Our dad was real emotionless and acted like we were his cadets instead his kids. I always joked around to lighten shit up and Reese was always serious like him"

"Military dad?" I asked taking a guess.

"Yeah he woke us up at five every morning and made us run 5 miles. That nigga was crazy"

"Was?"

"Yeah he's still living but he got Alzheimer's"

"I guess growing up with a father like that made y'all rebel and do what y'all do now"

"Yeah at first I did it to make him mad but then I realized I was good at it and I was making bread."

"What about your mom, where is she?" I asked wanting to know more about them.

"It's getting late" he started then got up off the bed. I frowned wondering if I said something wrong.

"You okay?" I found myself asking and standing up to follow him.

"Yeah I'm good, I'm about to go knock out, lemme know if you need anything" he said before leaving the bedroom. I walked back over to the bed and sat down wondering why he was acting so funny. I decided not to dwell on it and just try to get some sleep. After shooting my mom a quick text I put my phone down and put my hair in a ponytail. Getting under the covers, I slowly drifted off to sleep.

I was suddenly awaken out of my sleep from repeated taps to the face. I opened my eyes and notice Asia's face over mine and her hand hovering, ready to hit me again.

"Why you not sleeping?" I asked sitting up and checking the time, it was going on three in the morning.

"I woke up" she said sitting back.

"Where's your father?" I asked stretching and throwing my legs over the edge of the bed. I stood up and Asia's little feet dropped to the floor. She grabbed my hands and exited the room with me.

"I don't know" she shrugged using her free hand to scratch her nose. I walked towards Marcellus room and knocked a few times and didn't hear anything. He slept pretty light so I knew if he was here, he would've heard me. I made my way back to Asia's room and put her in bed. After reading a book to her and playing in her hair, she went back to sleep.

I slowly stepped out of the room and quietly shut the door. Turning around I almost screamed when I bumped into a figure in the dark. My hands shot out and reached for the nearest light switch. It was early in the morning so the sun wasn't up and the house was still dark. After turning on the light I realized it was Reese.

"What you doing sneaking around?" He asked looking me up and down. I rolled my eyes when I noticed the gun in his hand.

"I wasn't sneaking around, why don't you mind your damn business" I said walking back to the room I was occupying for the remainder of the night.

"I can't stand bitches like you" he mumbled stopping me dead in my tracks. I didn't even think when I turned around and jumped on him and started slapping him. I was tired of him constantly disrespecting me.

"Yo chill the fuck out" he shouted trying to stop me. Suddenly I was pulled off of him and held back. I looked and saw that it was Marcellus. He seemed to always pop up when were fighting.

"Yo my daughter in there sleeping and y'all out here after like a ratchet couple on Maury" he yelled.

"Tell your brother that he need to stop calling me out my name or that's what's gonna happen every time I see him" I huffed breathing heavily.

"Tell that bitch to go back where she came from" Reese said making me lunge towards him again.

"Yo Reese you on some shit, stop calling her out her name" Marcellus snapped.

"Man fuck up defending this hoe"

"I got your hoe" I said getting out of Marcellus grasp to attack him once again. He snatched me up once and tighten his hold on me.

"You should've took Rhyan home and took yourself annoying ass home. Always mad and moody"

"I saw her lurking around the house so I thought she couldn't be trusted"

"I wasn't lurking"

"Nigga you don't think I don't be keeping tabs on her? She's in the clear yo, I don't make just anybody watch my daughter" the continued speaking as if I wasn't standing right there.

"My bitches is mad and moody" Marcellus rapped along to the melody of Bad and Bougie.

"Shut up nigga" I mumbled.

"If I let you go, you gonna chill lil Mayweather?" He asked and I nodded. He slowly let me go and I stood staring at Reese.

"If you apologize then I'll act like all this never happened" I said.

"My fault bi--my fault,
I'll keep my opinion about you to myself" he smirked making me roll my eyes.

"I guess that's the best apology someone like you could give so I'll take it" I said before turning around.

"Someone like me? Fuck is that suppose to mean?" He asked and Marcellus blew a breath in frustration.

"Y'all was just good for two seconds" he groaned.

"It means whatever you want it to mean" I said before going into the room and closing the door.
