I quickly moved my head away from Reese and saw Armani standing there just as Marcellus came in. He looked at us then turned around and turned back around. Soon he began laughing then shook his head and walked out of the office. I tried stepping away then mentally palmed my face when I realized Reese's hands were still on my ass. Removing his hands I moved to go after Marcellus.

"Marcellus" I called out but Reese stopped me.

"Don't trip, I'll handle lil nigga" Reese said walking off after him.

"You got some 'splaining to do" Armani said with her arms crossed.

"What?" I shrugged grabbing my things and leaving the office as Armani trailed behind me.

"You know exactly what? I thought you couldn't stand that nigga. What happened to Marcellus almost dicking you down?" She said loudly.

"Girl shut up" I whisper-shouted grabbing her arm and yanking her towards the couch we occupied before.

"I'll shut up when you tell me how long y'all been sneaking around. Bitch they brothers, you bold" she smirked crossing her legs.

"We haven't been sneaking around, these past few months we've just came to an understanding with each other. He's an asshole but he's nicer"

"Mhmm, his tongue down your throat is a real nice gesture" she said giving me the side eye.

"Mani" I warned.

"I'm shutting up...oop bitch he looks tight" she said taking a sip out of her glass while we watched Marcellus and Reese talk from a far. Marcellus looked heated and Reese looked as if he wasn't fazed.

"I feel like a hoe Mani" I frowned regretting that I kissed Reese. It just felt right at the moment so I went for it. It was like at that moment my mind was clouded and I wasn't thinking.

"What you did was distasteful but you not a hoe, stop tryna steal my place" Armani joked bumping my shoulders trying to make me feel better.

"Maybe I should go over there, I don't want to cause problems between them" I said standing up.

"Bitch don't none of them own you, Marcellus can't be mad that his brother got more game than him" she shrugged putting money in the thong of some stripper that bent over near her. I shook my head and looked around at the people in the lounge that were turning up. This was suppose to be my day but now it's turning shitty.

"This situation is just too messy, a few months ago I wasn't even worried about a nigga and now I'm dealing with two that are brothers"

"I personally love messy situations but go over there if you want to. Make things work out in your little love triangle, invite me to the joint wedding"

"Go your ugly ass in a corner" I said before going over to where Marcellus and Reese were. They didn't even realize I walked up.

"You always doing grimey shit, you tried the same shit with Najeanni" Marcellus said.

"I told you already that your hoe ass baby mama came at me"

"You still foul for making moves on Nayeli" Marcellus said.

"You ain't make no moves so I handled that" Reese replied making me want to smack that damn smirk off his face.

"Handled that? The fuck am I? Property?" I said deciding to step in.

"Here you go with the extra shit" he shook his head.

"Yeah nigga I'm with the shits because you always being disrespectful" I snapped.

"I don't care about nothing you talking about right now" he said being an asshole. I went to say something but Marcellus grabbed my arm and dragged me to a room in the back.

"Y'all fucking?"

"It's not any of your business who I'm fucking" I retorted rolling my eyes in annoyance.

"You ain't nothing but a chase to that nigga, once he gets what he wants then he's gone. You gon learn one day though"

"You making this deeper than what the fuck it is" I frowned.

"I don't know what y'all females see in his ugly ass. I was joking when I said y'all should fuck" Marcellus frowned.

"Marcellus it was one damn kiss and you know why I don't want to go there with you. We have a good friendship"

"One kiss? You sure that was just a kiss" he said with eye brows raised.

"Oh my goodness" I huffed covering my face.

"I find it funny that we almost fucked and you be acting like I'm your bro or something" he shrugged bringing up that incident from a couple months ago.

"I ain't no king pin, you know how hard it is to be a drug kingpin. It's not like how these movies and books be making it seem" Marcellus said as we watched some low budget movie. I didn't know the name nor did I care to. Asia was sleeping and there was nothing to do.

"So where does the money come from?" I asked laying back and throwing my leg up but bent my legs since Marcellus hated when people's feet touched him.

"Only a small amount of my money comes from selling, my investments are what bring the cash in" he says while reaching for his glass. He was always drinking or getting high or both.

"Interesting, how--what you doing yo?" I asked as he laid his head down on my stomach.

"I'm laying down" he responded in a 'duh' tone.

"Clearly but why you on me?" I questioned trying to push him off but he just got comfortable.

"Because" he responded leaving it at that. I decided to just let him be and played in his hair while watching the movie. Soon I was drifting off to sleep but movement on my legs woke me up.

"Marcellus can you not?" I said when he began rubbing my thighs.

"What?" He said with his eyes closed.

"Watch your hands" I warned him before trying to go back to sleep. I was two seconds away from getting up and going in my room.

"What's this cotton?" He asked picking at my dress.

"Nah it's leather" I rolled my eyes pushing him off making him fall on the floor laughing. I laughed turning away from him. I felt him lay behind me putting us in a spooning position. Soon I felt his lips on my neck and his arms wrap around my waist.

"Why you always playing?" He mumbled. Marcellus was always flirty but when he drank he became something else. It was hard to suppress my hormones when I was around him daily.

"I'm not"

"Look at me" he demanded but I just ignored him.

"No Marcellus go your ass to sleep"

"Damn girl so you not gon look at me" he said turning my face towards him. Huffing I turned around and faced him.

"What!"

"Why you being like that?" he spoke using that husky but sensual voice that got me riled up. I quickly got up and walked away from the couch going into the kitchen to get away. I wasn't trying to fall into that trap and then catch feelings.

"I'ma make something to eat" I announced.

"Really?" He chuckled leaning against the island.

"You hungry?" I asked changing the subject of our conversation.

"Yeah but not for no food" he spoke licking his lips as he walked towards me. I took a step back bumping into the counter and found myself trapped.

"What?" I breathed out.

"You know what" he chuckled getting closer to my face. My breath hitched when his lips brushed against mine.

"Mar-"

"What?" He whispered before capturing my lips with his. His hands traveled down my body before he hooked his arms around my legs, placing me on the countertop. My arms wrapped around his neck as our lips moved in sync.

Biting on his bottom lip, I moaned when he lips trailed down to my neck. Leaning my head to the side to give him better access I ran my fingers through his hair. With my eyes closed I didn't protest as his kisses got lower and his head disappeared under my dress.

"Oh cat got your tongue this time huh?" He smirked.

"Why you bringing that up now though"

"I thought you were focusing on yourself so I gave you your space but then you turn around and mess with my brother"

"I'm not messing with Reese, it was--what I did was fucked up and I'm sorry" I apologized. I had been looking for my own apartment and this definitely proves that I needed to move out soon. Living under the same roof as Marcellus, someone I worked for and that I was attracted to, brought nothing but problems.

"Yeah real fucked up..."

"Im going to move out soon, I'll just come by whenever you won't be home to watch Asia" I announced.

"Now you know Asia not gonna go for that"

"I just don't want you and Reese having problems because of me" I shrugged looking down at my feet.

"Trust me, our problems run deeper than you" he shook his head letting out a loud breath.

"What happened to y'all while y'all were growing up" I asked.

"Reese-" he started but some bobble head stripper walked in.

"I hope I wasn't interrupting anything" she said look like she could care less. It took Jesus and all his disciples to keep me from smacking the smug look off of her face.

"Nah you good, what you need Choc" he said completing dismissing me. I rolled my eyes and walked back out into the area where I left Armani. The blaring music was beginning to bother me and I felt like going to my bed. I spotted Reese talking to some girl who was in this tight leather jumpsuit. Walking over, I handed Reese the car keys and walked off to find Armani.

"Excuse me shawty" I heard him say before I heard his voice call after me.

"Why you hand this back to me? It's yours" he snatched me back making me face him.

"You don't have to do that for me, I'm capable of getting shit on my own" I said pulling away from him. I could see Armani dancing with the some guy near the bar so I made a beeline that way.

"What that nigga done spit in your ear now. One second you feeling the kid then you acting like you don't even know me" he shouted over the music following after.

"Says the guy who can make the sweetest gesture and say the most ignorant and ill mannered comment in the span of 30 minutes" I retorted.

"You still mad about what I said? I wasn't trying to disrespect you, trust me if I wanted to be disrespectful I would've been"

"Several months ago, I couldn't stand you and you couldn't stand me. Maybe that's how we should've remained." Leaving him in the middle of the crowded dance floor, I made my way towards Armani and we soon left the club.

Next Morning

"We were supposed to get white girl wasted yesterday. Start swinging from chandeliers and shit" Armani pouted as we pulled up to TGI Friday's. I was very early for my shift but there was a little outlet across the street that I might walk around maybe grab some pretzels from Aunt Annie's before I have to clock in. I didn't completely cut ties with this job incase things didn't go as planned with Marcellus. I didn't want to be out of work for long since I couldn't exactly document working for Marcellus.

"That was never the plan" I laughed leaning back in my seat."I'm just ready to move out, I kinda want my own shit anyways. I could walk around naked and free"

"You know Ima be over there like everyday" she stuck her tongue out and yelled 'haann'.

"Change that to every other weekend" I said making her mug me.

"So have you spoken to your mother?" She asked suddenly changing the mood.

"I got a happy birthday text from her but I think my dad took her phone and sent it. It wasn't like her other text, it was weird." I shrugged not really knowing what to think about the situation anymore.

"Why is she so mad?"

"Honestly she just keeping up the act because she refuses to be wrong. I understand she has her thoughts about Marcellus and she wants me safe but I'm old enough to make my own decisions. I knew what I was getting myself into when I took the job offer" I explained.

"Has your dad spoken to her or tried to get y'all to sit down together?"

"He's tried but she's always so busy work. I just go by there from time to time to see Joie and Joel. Joel is working with Marcellus now  and if my mom finds out, I think she'll blame me" I sighed.

"Joel makes his own stupid decisions she can't possibly blame you for that"

"Don't underestimate my mother, you better get going before you miss your class." I said unlocking the car door.

"I hate when you just end our convos like that" she rolled her eyes.

"Just like I hate when you bring up a topic that I truly do not want to speak about" I said crossing my arms.

"Whatever bye hoe, I love you" she shouted making a smile break out on my face.

"I love you too" I chuckled closing her car door.

"Hey Nayeli, I haven't seen you in sometime" I closed my eyes tightly hoping it wasn't who it sounded like.

"Hi Mr.Johnson" I spoke through a tight lip smile. I noticed his wife and his two daughters walking towards their car.

"I haven't seen y'all in a while. What y'all moved?" He asked glancing back to see his wife giving him a look before getting in the car.

"I moved out and my parent moved also" I said.

"Oh where they moved, maybe I could bring by a house warming gift"

"I'm not even sure where it's at but I'll let them know that I seen you" I lied. One thing my parents and myself hated was when someone just gave your number and your address out like it was candy.

"Yeah you do that, it was really good seeing you" he said licking his lips before walking of.

I visibly shuddered and waited until they drove off before I continued my walk.
