"I still have things to submit. This is what I get for doing everything last minute," Claire whine as she tried her best to rearrange her score sheets and marked scripts. Marie chuckled as she watched her friend, while Leo tried his best to keep the smile on his lips at bay. The three were in Claire's homeroom together. Mare and Leo were waiting for Claire to sort herself out o that they could all leave the college and go to the café together. College hours weren't over, but most last year students had left for the day.

Leo let his gaze follow Claire as she tossed one sheet of paper after the other behind her. Leo knew she was organized, and it was hilarious to watch her break down over it in real-time.

"Okay! I found everything I need!" Claire yelped, spinning around with the yellow folder she had been stuffing sheets of paper into. She waved it over her head, her array of bangles shaking with the action. She then walked over to her friends, ignoring them tease her over the fit she just had.

"Can we leave now," Marie asked, looking down at the face of her thin watch.

"Yes." Claire smiled, nodding her head and making her blonde bob cut hair bounce.

The three left the building, and eventually the college premises together. It was drizzling, so they had to use umbrellas. Leo was using an umbrella alone while the two girls shared one. As the drizzle drowned out the voice of the women who were ahead of him, Leo wondered if Al had made it home safely. Esterphina had come to get him sometime in the day, and Leo couldn't leave with them because he had something to do.

They closed their umbrellas when the got to the café. Leaving them by the door before walking in and heading for a round table by the window. As always, the café was mostly empty besides the few people that were nestled in the corners with a cup of hot drink in hand or typing away in their computers.

A waitress soon came to take their orders. They all asked for a cup of hot chocolate, and some bread buns to go with it.

"Hey Leo, how's Al? I didn't see him much today," Marie said, making Leo snap out of the daze he hadn't realized he had been pulled into. The two women chuckled at his confused wide-eyed look. "You were thinking about him, right? You're always thinking about him," Marie accused him as she played with the plastic menu.

"Well..." Leo trailed, not denying the accusation. He bit down on his bottom lip, rubbing the back of his neck as a blush formed on his face.

"You're so in love," Claire said in a part teasing, part mocking tone. "It's disgusting," she said with a much stare before bursting into a fit of laughter. Marie chuckled too, covering her mouth, and muttering a small sorry as Leo frowned, not finding the situation funny.

The conversation drifted to something else, and the waitress was soon back with their drinks in paper cups and the buns on small serving plates. They ate in silence for a while, listening as the drizzle turned into a shower. Marie coughed, making the attention of both her friends turn to her. As always, she was in one of her long skirts, and plain tops. Her pixie hair had grown out a bit, and the cheeky smile on her face told Leo she was about to start questioning him again.

"Have you and Alejandro sorted out your living arrangements for after graduation? You're moving to the same country, right?" Marie asked, dropping the fork she was using to eat her cake before grabbing a paper napkin to clean around her mouth.

Leo frowned in confusion for a while, but his features relaxed when he understood her question. It was true, Leo and Al would both be in France, but they both weren't sure if they would be in the same stats. Well, being in the same country was close enough. They would try to keep in touch and meet up, that Leo knew.

"No, not yet," Leo answered, and Marie hummed while Claire sucked in her cheeks and drummed on the wooden table with her fingers.

"Have you two planned anything for the summer?" Claire asked as Leo raised a brow at her. "You know..." she trailed with a shrug. "Like something romantic."

Leo should be used to questions like that, but he couldn't help that his face turned bright red whenever Al was brought up. The sight of him getting flustered made the two women laugh a bit.

"Is that blush? Yes, or a no?" Claire asked, and Leo's brows came together in a small frown. He opened his mouth, but closed it again, refusing to say anything. Leo had Al had a lot of time together, but purposefully coming together to plan something romantic wasn't one of them. Soon, Leo's confusion and irritation at the question turned into worry.

"It's a no," he answered before looking back down at the bun on his plate. He licked his teeth before looking up at the girls again. "Is that a bad thing?" he asked, deciding that he might as well ask for advice.

"Well, I wouldn't say it is." Claire shrugged, picking up another bread bun before lacing the inside with butter. "If you two are happy as you are, and haven't thought about it, then I don't think it matters much. It's just something couples do for the sake of doing, you know?" Claire added, biting into her bun as Leonardo observed her.

"Marie?" he called, turning his attention to his other friend. Marie rubbed her chin in thought, humming before bringing the cup of hot chocolate in front of her to her lips. She put it down again before staring straight at Leo.

"As Claire said, I don't think it matters much. If you want to do something, however, I could help!" she said, giving Leonardo a smile that he mirrored back.

"Wait, you want to do something?" Claire asked, sitting up on her chair as she looked from Leo to Marie. "I never..." she trailed off, not finishing her sentence.

Leo frowned, wondering what she had wanted to say. "What?" he asked, narrowing his eyes at her.

"I never dubbed you to be the romantic or cutesy type, that's all." Claire smiled, trying to mask her irritation. She was happy that Leo had found someone, she really was, but seeing things work out so well for Al and Leo after she had told Al that they wouldn't hurt a bit. She had given up on Leo because she had thought that he wasn't one for relationships and that if he was, he maybe had an interest in Marie and no one else. Claire couldn't help wondering whether things would have been different if she hadn't backed away. Maybe it would be her and Leo in a relationship right now.

"She's right, you barely give anyone attention," Marie said, taking Leo's attention away from Claire. The woman rested her chin on her raised hands, sucking in her cheek as she looked on at her blond-haired friend. "Well, apart from the minimal attention you show your friends," Marie added, smiling a bit.

Leo rolled his eyes. "You're overexaggerating." He was used to people telling him he was too cold, but he didn't think he was. Marie shook her head at him, wagging her finger in a 'no' motion as she sat up on her seat.

"No, I'm serious. You dot on Al a lot. It's unusual for you, and kind of cute," Marie said, smiling again. Leo went from being irritated to blushing again, and it made his friend laugh.

"Shut up," Leo scoffed, returning his attention to his hot drink and buns. The conversation of doing something special that was romantic and 'cutesy' never came up again, but Leo had already made up his mind that he was going to do something for Al.

It just felt right.

The love of his life deserved to feel special.
