Maybe I can actually do something this time.
I mean, my parents can't haunt me forever, right?
As we got ready for an attack, my thoughts still raging inside of my head, we seemed to be rooted in place as Fushiguro was picked up and thrown right through a wall. The ugly curse seeming to follow right after it's throw as I tried my best not to give that lovely throw a ten out of ten.
Then, feeling a tap on my shoulder, I looked to Yūji who held a determined look on his face. My eyes widening before I finally smiled.
Maybe...if I had a friend by my side, then I could probably do what my parents always expected me to.
Though, is that the wrong way to act?
To act like some parasite clinging to someone who just makes your life so much easier?
God, does that make me a terrible person?
"Let's go, (Name)!"
"I don't know what you expect me to do, but sure! Let's go get our asses kicked!"
He snickered then as we headed for the hole in the wall that led to the outside, "what are you talking about, (Name)? You're the head of the disciplinary committee. As far as I know, you're the most useful person around! I mean, you're-"
I elbowed him lightly to knock him out of his trance. He was always the type to bring up my mood. Though, I knew, deep down, that I didn't deserve such praise.
"Let's just go and save our new friend, yeah," I said with a smaller smile. His head giving a quick nod as we both landed next to Fushiguro. His eyebrows furrowing into a frown as he looked at us.
"I thought I told you two to run!"
"Bold of you to assume that I listen to others," I said right back. His teeth biting the inside of his cheek as he glared at me. Though, i merely smirked right back as I and Yūji got into a fighting position. Everything about my training coming back to me. All the painful memories. The hated memories. None of them ever being good.
"And I'll be having nightmares if I left now," answered Yūji as he looked back at Fushiguro, "besides, I've got quite the curse myself."
And so, we both began our fight with the curse. Deep down I knew that the only way to defeat a curse was to exercise it with another curse, but...I was always slow when it came to using that. I smiled at that thought. The simple fact...that simple fact that I'm so...untalented. yeah, that must have been why my parents hated me so much.
I mean, if I wasn't good enough, then why bother to keep me?
Though, before I knew it, we were both easily knocked away. Pain shooting throughout my body as I was thrown right into a wall next to Fushiguro. Yūji being sent a little away, but he was still scraped up just as badly.
"A curse can only be exorcised by another curse," said Fushiguro as he watched Yūji struggle to get up. My eyes glancing down to the ground before I closed my eyes.
See? I can remember things. Doesn't that mean I can amount to what you want?
No.
Of course not.
Simply having the information doesn't mean your skills are good. It just means you're smart enough to remember something for a short time.
"Coulda told me sooner," Yūji huffed put as he got up from the ground. Blood dripping from his head as I finally looked over at the two.
"Someone like you without cursed energy will just get in the way."
Ignoring Fushiguro omce again, Yūji looked at the finger still in his hands. A disgusted look passing over me before I wobbled over slightly. Pain shooting through me once again as I abruptly stopped to take a breath.
"Hey, why is the curse targeting the finger?"
Fushiguro's eyebrow twitched as the same glare returned. This time directed at Yūji as he clenched his fists, "probably to become stronger from cursed energy."
"So, there is a way to save everyone."
"Huh," my voice cracked as I tilted my head to the side. I mean, he wasnt wrong, but the way he was-
Wait a second.
"Yoi idiot! What are you doing," I and Fushiguro shouted as Yūji ate the finger. I'll admit, it was the most disgusting thing I saw, but now was not the time to get disgusted. Now was the time to pull a heimlich maneuver, and then proceed in smacking Yūji upside the head.
But as I ran towards him, and grabbed a hold of the back of his shirt.
Something felt completely different.
My throat felt dry.
My limbs felt heavy.
My eyes growing dull as I clenched my teeth together.
My cursed energy finally activating as "Yūji" destroyed the curse easily.
Or...
Should I say Ryomen Sukuna?
