I'm such a fool.

Yūji Itadori made her smile.

It was an off feeling. She only ever felt it once when she was talking to Gojo Satoru. So ... this. This was different.

Yūji was always there. Talking to her. Holding her hand. Pulling her around since she didn't have any motivation to do things herself. He usually had to tell her to do things, like:

"You have to eat, y/n."

"Come on, brush your hair."

"Let's clean your face!"

"Eh? Come on, eat some more. I can pretty much hear your stomach from a mile away!"

He would take her to the playground, he would make her meet new people. And since his grandpa's house was small, they shared a room. The two of them getting a bunk bed as they would talk throughout the night. Yūji doing most of the talking as he would tell funny stories and jokes. Her laughter echoing inside the room to the point that his grandfather would come into the room and tell them to go to sleep already.

Was it wrong to be so happy?

She thought it was.

Because never in her life did she believe she deserved such a thing.

Sure, she thought about how she wanted to be normal, to be happy, to have caring and loving parents, but she knew she didn't deserve such a thing.

It was common knowledge in her old household.

Which was why everything Yūji introduced her to was so foreign to her. Anyway, she finally got to go to the movie theaters and was reminded of Junpei. She wanted to see him again too, but thought nothing else over the matter. Just another distant memory to her really.

Her lips would curl into a smile as Yūji would bump into her as they would walk. A grin of his own being decorated on his face.

It was intoxicating.

.
.
.

"Y/n—chan?"

She shook herself a little as she looked at her grinning sensei once again. Yūji and Kugisaki already out of the building, their mission complete.

"It's nothing. Just remembered something is all."

"Mind telling me what that was?"

"Hell no, Gojo—sensei. I would much rather keep my thoughts to myself. Mainly because I have nothing nice to say to you."

"How rude!"

"Says you."

She got up from her spot as she went over to Yūji. He looked fine. No injuries whatsoever. It was a sort of calming effect.

"So ... how was it?"

He grinned, "we saved someone, y/n!"

Of course he did.

It was natural for him to save people.

"Glad to hear it!"

Was she glad? Even she couldn't tell.

And as the group conversed. Gojo settling beside the four, they all talked to one another as a normal group of students and teacher would. Makjng jokes and all.

Though ...

For their next mission.

A mission that Gojo wouldn't be a part of,

One of the four will die.
