a/n;; when you're the one who "accidentally" ruined junpei—

anyway, to further explain ... y/n was starting to be junpei's first friend ... even though she was faking it, so when she said those words to him at the end, it had a bit more influence than she thought it would have.

i wonder ... I wonder how long it has been since I heard the words I love you from my parents.

the past pt. 3

-

"Are you really this pathetic?"

Yes.

"Why couldn't we be born with a child like Gojo Satoru?"

Because you aren't special or even good parents.

"Try again."

I've been trying for my whole life. Can't i just be a normal kid for once?

.
.
.

You can't, thats right. Totally forgot.

She sighed once again. Her cursed energy not even manifesting. She started to think that she was as weak as a worm. Maybe even weaker than a carp. She hated that about herself, but she was sure her parents hated that even more.

She went on though. Went on to become something that her parents loathed. She couldn't run to gojo. He already told her that that wasn't possible. Because the next time they meet, he would have to act like he hated her.

She hated that plan and didn't even understand it.

Couldn't he have trusted her to tell her his plan?

She doesn't understand at all. Nothing. That's right. She doesn't understand anything.

She doesn't know what her parents want from her. She doesn't understand their actions and what they are trying to do.

She isn't allowed to see Junpei. Which made sense. Mainly because a part of her knows that she cracked him. Broke him just a tiny bit.

She's forced to learn everything. Know everything. Work hard at everything despite not being able to keep up.

She just couldn't do it.

A failure.

That was what she was. She hated that. Couldn't she just muster up anything? Anything at all?!

"Useless."

That word struck a cord within her, and yet nothing. Nothing manifested within her. She was still empty.

And it was about time she was tossed aside. They didn't need her anymore. They will just find someone new to fulfill their goals.

Because she just wasn't the answer.

Which was when she found herself tossed out of the car. Her body landing in a park as it began to rain.

It was a cloudy day. Gray. Monochrome. Deathly.

Wouldn't it have been easier to erase the mistake instead?

Everything happening to her was a whirlwind inside of her head. Jumbling together as she briefly realized that she was abandoned. Disowned. Hated.

Well, the hated part was already very obvious.

"Are you alright?"

And everything. Her own little world was moving once again by that single question. A kid her own age asking if she was alright. A kid her own age who didn't need to be pushed by someone else to make a new friend.

"No, I'm never alright."

She would soon find a smile on her face as said boy would grab a tight hold onto her hand.

His name was Yūji.
