"I don't understand why I am the one doing this," JD complained as he tried to scrub off a red slushy stain from one of the shelves.  Some customer brought it in and set it down. JD didn't see it and knocked it over with his elbow.

"You were the one who made the mess." I leaned against the counter, watching him as I spun one of the fidget spinners from the display in front of me.  I had gotten addicted to fiddling with things at the counter to keep my hands busy to make the day go by faster.

"But I'm the boss. So you should be doing it, lackey." He argued back. "I think I am going to fire you today."

"Then who would you get to cover Mark's portion of everything when we go out?" I raised my eyebrows, waiting for an answer.

"Good point. You may stay then. Can you at least pretend like you're working or something?" JD huffed.

That was another little part of his and Riley's personalities that was a dead giveaway that they were related. Besides the constant squabbling and making rude faces when they turned their backs to each other, they both had this sighing huff noise they exhaled every time they were flustered.

"You need more paper towels," I told him.

There, that was work. I was helping.

"That's it. You're not getting a break today." JD threatened.

JD took the saturated paper towels towards the back storeroom to grab some more while I handled the front in case someone was stupid enough to come look at our overpriced merchandise.  Even with an employee discount, everything here was more expensive than ordering online.

Time was passing way too slowly today. Tomorrow was the Camo concert and I was a little anxious about it.  I had been thinking about Riley nonstop and driving by her house the other night only made it worse. She had become an unhealthy infatuation that I needed to try to shake. The last few days that I spent away from her gave me some time to attempt to get my head back together.

Which did absolutely nothing for me. I still was stuck on her.

I raised my eyes up when I felt that familiar feeling that someone was watching me.  Anna was standing at the front of the store and moved her head to motion towards the other side of the entrance.

I had to blink a thousand times to make sure I wasn't imagining it.

Standing right in front of me, posing like a centerfold in a magazine, was the sexy little tease haunting my every thought and she was giving me quite the view.

Anna said something to her and Riley wiggled her hips to push her butt out even further.  She had a perfect ass. It was round, juicy, and perfectly slapable.

I had to add that to the list of naughty Riley fantasies to jerk off to.

My dick pulsated in response.

I guess it wasn't broken after all.

I had to readjust it down and lean against the counter to conceal it.

Anna was cackling so loudly that I could hear it from where I stood.  Riley had no idea she had an audience.

I started laughing at her too.

Riley turned her head in my direction and froze when she realized I was standing there. I gave her a look encouraging her to keep going.  My day was going to be a lot less boring if she stood there all day shaking her butt at me.

She turned back to Anna and they started in on each other.  Anna walked over to her and looped her arm in hers. She waved excitedly at me as she dragged Riley into the store and over towards me.

Riley was facing away from me and looked down at the ground as soon as she was at the counter.  Anna left her there to go running across the room to find JD.

When Riley finally looked at me, I grabbed one of the squishy keychains and tried to make small talk.

"Why'd you stop?" I asked.

"Shut up."  She mumbled out grumpily.

Riley and I stood awkwardly without speaking to each other for a long time. Gone was the little flicker of energy we had from the other morning.  I wanted to ask her how she was doing after everything. I wanted to just say anything to her to get her to talk to me.

"What is taking so long? This is so stupid. What are they even doing back there?" Riley said, finally cutting through the silence.

"Do I even need to answer that?" I questioned.

"Please don't."  She said and shivered with disgust like her brain was already there.

"If you're bored, we still have those pink stuffed animals over there if you want to throw them around again."  I pointed at the wall where the blobby things were staring at us with oversized shiny eyes.

"You're not even remotely funny."  She crossed her arms and made the same little noise JD had given me earlier.

Hers was much more adorable.

"Fine, you win. You can get drunk and decide to become a hooker again." I teased, hoping she would give me another little noise.

"I did not do that." She frowned at me.

The game was back on.

"You asked me if I had any money. I went to the ATM this morning if you're still interested."  I leaned down against the counter and she turned her head to look at me. She bit her lip as I looked up and down every inch of her body. She was in the most simple, casual clothes. Without even trying, she still was more gorgeous than anyone I had ever seen. She lowered her eyes to her feet nervously. I hated that she seemed so self-conscious.  At some point, I was going to figure out exactly why.

"Riley, I'm just fucking with you. We both know you wouldn't make me pay for it." Her face went blank and her mouth formed a straight line.  She wasn't amused with my witty charm.

"You are quite full of yourself, aren't you?" She pouted, crossing her arms over her chest again for the millionth time.

"And you are too uptight. You need to learn to relax a little." I turned my head to stare at her some more. I could find a way to make her relax, if she let me. It wouldn't take very long.

JD and Anna came up from the back, looking a little more lopsided than when they went in.  They definitely had a little fun in the back for a few minutes.  JD opened his wallet and handed Anna a fistful of cash for her services and she leaned down to kiss him.

"What are you two ladies up to today?" I asked.

"Just some girl stuff, Brazilian waxes, buying some dirty outfits for the concert. The usual." Anna said, playing it off like it wasn't a big deal.

She had my full attention at the mention of dirty outfits.

She caught JD's attention too. His ears were red and steam was already billowing out.

"Hell no. You do realize you are with my baby sister. That's not happening." JD bellowed.

As much as I wanted to side with JD on this one, I was really interested in what Riley considered dirty. The wicked portion of my brain wondered if she would want to come back to the store later to model some of them for me.

"Chill out, James. I'm just playing around." Anna brushed him off.

I felt eyes on me again and saw Riley staring at me.

I was still thinking about the dirty outfits.

"Wait here, Lil Bit. I need to talk to my girl. Ezra, you got this another sec?"

"Yeah, I got her." I blurted out while staring at Riley's breasts. I shook my head and came to my senses in time to see JD glaring at me. I quickly tried to cover. "Yeah, I got this."

JD dragged Anna out of the store towards the middle of the mall and she skittered behind him. Riley was shifting side to side, staring at her feet again.  We were back to the awkward conversation piece.

"You're really going to the concert?" I asked her even though I already knew the answer.

"Yeah, Camo has been my favorite band for years. JD always promised to take me, but they never came to town. It's so weird how he randomly got free tickets to the show." She looked back up at me with a little excitement showing on her face.

I smiled just a bit, knowing I gave her something she really wanted, even if she didn't know it.

"Yeah, really weird," I said, downplaying it. However, I did have one burning question to ask her. My head was already back on the little shopping trip she was on today with Anna. "Hey, do girls really go shopping to buy outfits for concerts?"

"Anna always does. She wanted to have some fun for her birthday. She likes to play dress-up and then tortures me by making me go with her. She's been doing it every year since I was twelve. She likes to make me wear things I would never try on my own. I think she secretly likes finding new ways to make JD crazy."

"I'd be crazy too if I had a sister as beautiful as you are," I said unapologetically.

She squeaked a little and opened her mouth like she was going to ask me something. She stopped when JD and Anna walked up to the counter. Anna had a triumphant gleam on her face and JD just looked like he had been sucker-punched in the gut.

Anna won again.

"Ready to go, Ry?" Anna asked her.

She nodded her head while gawking at me and I smiled back. I turned my attention back to the counter before JD could catch me flirting with his sister.  He was already in a mood and I knew I was going to hear about it the rest of the night and probably all of tomorrow too.

Anna had to pull Riley away from the counter.  As soon as they had made it to the storefront, JD started flipping out.

"I am three seconds from dragging them both out of the mall and locking them in the car until I get off of work. What is Anna thinking? I swear she just does this shit to drive me insane.  I mean, what kind of girlfriend does that? Shouldn't they hate each other or something? Isn't that a rule?"  JD looked like a windmill as he swung his arms around.

"You are asking the wrong person." I was dying laughing as I watched him.  Mark had shown me a cartoon a few days ago where fire shot out of a guy's head; JD was at that point.

I looked back at Riley and Anna as they walked away. Riley gave me a small wave and I cheesed back at her dopily.  I grabbed one of my eyebrow rings and twisted it to play it off.

JD studied my face and then turned around to see what I was staring at. Riley stuck her middle finger in the air at us like a little brat.

"Ezra," JD said in a serious tone as he watched the girls disappear around the corner.

Shit. Had he noticed the way I was looking at her?

"Yeah." I cleared my throat.

"You know how wild Camo concerts can get, right?" He asked.

"I've heard some stories," I said.

"I need you to keep tabs on Riley so I can watch Anna. I can't be worried about her when I know it will be hard enough to keep Anna from getting hurt." JD looked worried.

"Aiden and Mark will be there too. We'll keep the girls between all of us, they will be safe."

"No, Ezra. I need to know that you have eyes on her at all times. I know what you did the other night at the party to that guy who was messing with her when she was drunk." He explained.

"You know about that?" I asked.

If he knew what happened in the kitchen, did he know she ended up in my room that night too?

"Aiden told me. I'm really glad you were there for her even though you didn't have to be. My sister isn't known for making the best choices. I need someone I can trust to watch out for her. Mark is too easily distracted and Aiden, well, he's my best friend, but he's not the most intimidating guy."

I nodded in understanding. JD was right about everything except the trust part. He shouldn't trust me around her. I didn't even trust myself.

"I'll keep her with me all night." I agreed.

"Thanks, dude. Now, help me finish cleaning up." JD smacked me on the back and threw me the roll of paper towels.
