*Time skip - a few weeks later*

Taehyung's POV
I sighed in frustration as its been weeks since we last touched based on the movement about this Park Ho Seok guy who we were supposed to track down in regards to the drug cases around the city.

"Hyung, I can't take it anymore. Why is it taking us so long to get this fcking Park Ho Seok?" I yelled in frustration as we all gathered back in Yoongi hyung's genius lab.

"That's coz he is not in town yet Taehyung, and the event is not happening until 2 weeks from now." Yoongi hyung rolled his eyes at me.

I actually really hate it when the things I plan never finish as supposed to. It's been weeks and all we have done is spending more time with the cafe brothers and oh yea, just so you know, Namjoon hyung is officially dating Jin now.

"I don't know hyung, I feel like we are not paying attention to the things on hand. We are all fcking distracted." I sighed.

Namjoon hyung again visibly tensed on my comment. Ever since he started dating Jin Hyung, he has grown extra soft and very less authoritative like he used to. I mean he is still the smartest among us when it comes to planning and stuff, but when it comes to being cold heart towards busting some assholes up, he is no longer the cold RM I once knew.

"Hyung, you need to stop getting tense each time I make comments like that, I get it, you're with Jin Hyung now." I said to Joonnie hyung.

"I get it Tae, I am not getting tense of that, I am just thinking about what you said. We are not planning, and that can be very dangerous for us."

Yoongi hyung and I both nodded as we all gathered around the table.

"We need a plan." Yoongi hyung said.

"Yes, we do hyung, I mean how are we gonna sneak into the event that Park is organizing? I'm sure he won't allow just anyone to walk in. We don't even know the place." I was worried about the plan seeing the scale of the event and there is only 3 of us.

Definitely fewer hands.

"I think we should visit the event venue and see what we can do, and how to properly sneak Park out without anyone noticing."

I looked up at Joon hyung and agreed on his suggestion.

It didn't take long before Yoongi hyung broke into one of Park's assistant's email and get the invite list together with the event details including the venue.

"Royal Palace." I read out the event venue name.

"This man knows how to throw a party, that place is one of the most secure and highly vigilance area in the city. We will need to buckle up big time to sneak in and out." Yoongi hyung crossed his hand covering his mouth tensing a little.

"Chill hyung, we are gonna get this done no matter what. I, V, will not lose twice." I stood up feeling determined to finish off this task.

After setting a gathering time to visit the venue, we all departed our ways. As I know I have a big task coming my way, I headed to the nearby gym to pump up my workout routine keeping me fit for the task.

I do have a built-in gym at my home, but sometimes it does get a little lonely being surrounded by the same 4 walls.

I arrived at the gym and changed into my gym gear. Since it's a weekday afternoon, the gym was pretty much empty with one or two people around finishing their workouts.

I approached the bench for bench pressing and picked up a few dumbbells along the way.

By the time I was dripping in sweats, the gym was pretty much empty with no one else around me. Urm, wait...there is someone. I saw a board shoulder, tight ass guy lifting weights and doing squats at the same time.

Wait a min...that ass. Ooffff that ass looks familiar.

I moved to the side a little more and tried to look who it is through the mirror in front of me as the person was facing his back from me. No luck. I couldn't see the face. Well, not until he dropped the bar and turned around to take the towel nearby to wipe his sweats off.

*Gulp.

Bunny boy.

"Oh, hyung. Hi." He waved at me with his bunny smile. I swear, this boy never fails to surprise me with his innocent-looking face and his muscular body. It doesn't make sense.

I turned around with a smile on my face although my mouth was struggling to keep itself closed as Jungkook lifted his wet cloth off his body and flung the shirt over his shoulder.

(👀👀 tell me I'm not the only one got stunned when we saw this? Muscular baby)

Great, now he decides to be half naked in front of me. 8 PACKS! I see 8 packs, bloody hell. I only have 6 and this bunny have 8!!

I gulped further as he approached me, still plastering a bunny smile on his face. I wanna kis..*cough* slap that smile away, its making me...feel things.

"Hi Jungkook, you workout too?" I ask stupidly although his body is the evidence of his work outs.

"Duh yea..I mean..can't you see?"

I became flustered as I notice I stupidly trailed my eyes down his body.

"Yea..urm, I mean of coz you do. I just didn't know you come here too. Never seen you here before." I attempted to cover up.

"Oh. Actually, I don't come here often, my friend Kevin got this extra pass thingy which he is not using so he gifted it to me long time ago, I just got the time to use it. I didn't notice you earlier as well."

"Ah I see, I was at the corner, so probably you didn't see me. I am done anyways."

"Cool, I am done too. I was about to leave. I guess I see you then?" Jungkook started to bid his farewell.

"Oh hang on, maybe wanna grab lunch together?" I asked. Damn it, I was supposed to mind my own business and keep him away from me after what I did to Hoseok.

Jungkook turned back and looked puzzled. "Lunch?"

"Yea, I mean I was about to grab something anyway so since I met you, thought of asking you together. It's ok if you're not free." I smiled back.

"Urm, I am free....but can we drop by somewhere before lunch, I have to sort of check on something if you don't mind," Jungkook asked.

"Sure," I said as we walked back to the changing room and refreshed ourselves before heading out again.

"Did you drive?" I asked Jungkook as I walked to the basement to only find my car parked there.

"Nope, I didn't drive today, do you mind driving us?"

"Of coz not, hop in." I said after dropping both our bags at the back seats.

"Thanks hyung, so can we stop by Royal Palace hotel for a bit?" Jungkook asked.

"Royal Palace??" I was shocked with the name of the hotel as I was meant to check it out soon with my hyungs in regards to the upcoming case we are working on.

"Yea..is it ok? I just have to see something real quick."

"Sure, we can definitely stop by." I smiled at Jungkook before starting the car engine, headed towards Royal Palace.

As I pulled into the hotel driveway, I immediately took out a camera contact lense which Yoongi hyung have customized it for me. I always keep one handy with me in case I need to quickly jump into "work" and need to start taking information on recording.

I quickly inserted the lens to my right iris as Jungkook was busy unbuckling his seatbelt to get off the car.

As he stepped out, he leaned down and told me to wait inside the car if I mind walking out as he just wanna quickly take a look around.

Perfect! I can sneak in information to Yoongi hyung if I follow him in.

"Oh, Kookie, I will come with you, I mean I haven't seen the interior before and I am a huge fan of beautiful interiors." I plastered a fake boxy smile on my face.

"Sure then. And don't call me Kookie, only my hyungs call me that." Jungkook gave me a small smile and turned his heels walking away from me.

Sigh, this little bunny is definitely not the easy type. Well, I don't like easy targets anyways. asdfhjkl TAE STOP IT. DONT THINK OF ANYTHING. GET IN NOW.

I mentally beat myself up before passing my car keys to the jockey.

Third Person POV

As the younger strolled throught the lobby to the desk nearby, Taehyung quickly sent a message to Yoongi back in his lab to monitor and screen record everything that Tae is capturing though his iris camera lens.

'Ok, GAME ON.' Yoongi replied.

Tae smirked at the phone screen and walked ahead to join the younger by the desk.

"Evening Ma'am, may I take a look at the function hall?" Jungkook asked.

"Evening sir, I'm afraid it's been booked for a high profile event for coming weeks so we are having some ongoing decors inside which we are unable to reveal it for the public until the event day, that too for the invited guests only." The lady at the desk politely replied.

"Ah, I'm sorry. I have not introduced myself. I'm Jeon, Jeon Jungkook."

The lady tilted her head a little and typed something into the screen in front of her.

The older was just standing there unsure about the whole scene so he gently moved aside to take a proper look at the entrance and exit points inside the lobby.

'Perfect, we can sneak out as long as they have multiple exits.' Taehyung took a mental note as he properly scanned each exits and entrances keeping count on the number of security guards as well.

"Hyung, let's go in." Jungkook tapped the older's shoulder when he noticed Tae was standing in the middle of the lobby looking like a stone figure.

"Yea? In? Where?" The older was stunned by the sudden tap on his shoulder.

"Inside the event hall, I told you I wanna take a look remember?" Jungkook was ushering the older into the event hall.

"Oh, I thought the lady said it was booked and we are not allowed???"

"Ah hyung, it's settled, don't worry, come on." Jungkook smiled innocently and waved again at the older to follow up.

Taehyung was super curious by now on why Jungkook wanna visit the place and how did he gain the access when the venue was blocked for Park Ho Seok's inclusive event.

Something is weird and Taehyung aimed to find out.

Not gonna lie, my brain juice dried up for this chapter as I made the plot while I am super sick and sleepy. Not a very good combo. I promise I will make it up soon in the next chapter for a more interesting plot.
