Kaiden

"Nathan?"

My heart speeds up automatically, glad I answered the door instead of my parents or the maids. He's dressed in a fitting leather jacket and boots, looking sinfully hot.

"It's 10 pm on a Wednesday, what are you doing here?" I ask, nervously.

"How would you like to go on a drive with me?"

"What? My parents are home!" I laugh, trying to wrap my head around the fact that he is here, wanting to whisk me away right from under my Dad's nose.

"Could you just say it's a group project? We can go back to my place after!" He smiles, winking mischievously. "Mum's visiting her sister."

I bite my lip, tempted. We haven't really spent time together past week, ever since we told Raven. He's been busy with work and studies and I've been busy with a small project and writing my SOPs. I have missed him.

"Come inside at least, it's cold out here!" I mutter, tugging him in by his hand.

The simple touch ignites my skin. I can't help but smile like a little kid.

"Oh hello Nathan," Mum greets him, surprised. She smiles gently, clutching her cup of tea. "Late night visits are your thing or something?"

Uh...what?!

Did she.... Does she KNOW he was here few nights ago?!

Nathan looks at me pointedly, saying a soft hello to her. I pretend to be neutral. If she doesn't know, my face might just give everything away.

"I get off work around this time, the only time I'm free to do things."

"And what do you want to do now?" Mum asks. It's like she's teasing but I can't even tell if she isn't.

"I remembered we have to do a group project in Biology. So I thought I could take Kai to my place since I'm alone. We would be out of your way and uh, still be loud as we like. I mean, with your permission of course."

He's so polite to her, so formal always. It's hilarious to watch, especially since I call her everything from Mum to Mamochka.

"Oh you're alone? Why don't you stay over then?"

Nathan's eyes widen. I bet he hadn't expected that. I bite my lip to hide a smile.

"I uh, thank you, but I don't have any of my things or my books. We will go to school directly tomorrow morning."

"Oh okay then, sure you can take him along."

I do an internal victory dance. Finally I get some time alone with him!

"But next time if you're home alone, inform Kai so that we can invite you for dinner. You can stay here anytime you want."

My heart swells in my chest. Nathan's expression is soft and he nods, looking at his feet.

"Thanks Mum, I'll go grab my stuff now!" I grin, hoping I don't look too happy. I run to the stairs, skipping up two a time.

I hastily grab my school stuff and pack my ironed uniform in a bag. I change into warm clothes and put on a beanie and gloves for good measure. I look okay.

It's not a date right? Just us, hanging out. I fluff my hair a bit and roll my eyes in the mirror. I am such a simp.

I reach downstairs to find my Dad talking to Nathan, who's slightly rocking on his feet.

"Ready, Nathan?" I smile. He nods, shooting me a grateful look and pulling on his jacket.

"You better not skip school tomorrow," Dad warns. I nod, grinning despite his stern demeanor. He gives me a small smile.

"Goodnight Dad, Mum! See you tomorrow after school!"

"Don't forget, your mother has a dinner for her colleagues tomorrow. Be on time!"

"I won't forget, promise! Night!"

I peck Mum's cheek and run outside behind Nathan who is putting his boots on. He sends me a dazzling smile, grabbing one of my bags from me.

"I can't believe they actually let you come! I really love your mother, okay?" He smiles, his curls flying in the chilly breeze. I shiver slightly.

"I know, I love her too! Um so, do I need to take my car? How did you get here?"

"I bought a motorcycle."

"You what?!" I hit his bicep.

"Yeah. I've been saving up and finally got enough to get one. It's third hand but barely used so it's in good condition. And you were the first person I wanted to tell. I parked down the driveway."

"Oh my gosh Nathan! That is... amazing!" I whisper.

He smiles shyly. I am so proud of this beautiful guy I get to call mine.

He slides his gloved hand in mine, as we trudge down to the gates of the Pierce estate. My heart is beating abnormally fast.

A black Harley Davidson is parked there, with a helmet on the handle. I gape at it. It's a basic old model but it looks neat. And it's his own!

"Wow, wow! Now you won't have to walk everywhere!" I chuckle, running my hands on the cool metal.

The security guard is watching us and I bid him a goodnight. Nathan opens the rear seat to reveal a small compartment. It has another helmet in it.

"For you," he says softly.

My insides just about melt at that. He takes off my beanie and puts it in the bag before adjusting the helmet on my head.

"You've been on a motorcycle before?"

"Yeah yeah, with my cousin."

"Good, then you know what to do. Just hold tight!"

He puts my school bag on his shoulder but at the front, like a baby carrier. I hoist myself at the back, holding my school uniform bag between us.

"We'll drop these off home before we go out okay?" He says before putting on his own helmet.

He revs and the guard swings open the automatic gate.

The wind bites against the exposed part of my neck, as Nathan speeds out on the road. I clutch on to his shoulders, feeling a familiar exhilaration set in.

He rides perfectly, making goosebumps shoot up my skin every time he turns and we're at his house much too quick. I don't stumble as I get off the bike.

"Was it okay?"

"It was perfect!" I smile, taking off the helmet.

He unlocks his home and Zeus launches at him, whining happily. Then he sees me and jumps on my chest letting out a loud bark.

"Aw buddy, I've missed you too!" I laugh, keeping the bags on the sofa.

He brings me his chew toy, rubs against my legs and I bend to pet him. He wiggles his furry paws in the air and I tickle his stomach. Laughing, I straighten and meet Nathan's gaze.

Next second, he cups my face and presses his lips to mine. The kiss gets heated in no time and he lifts me easily, my back meeting the wood of the door, legs around his waist.

He pulls away and bites my lower lip and I open my mouth, gasping as his sweet scent invades my senses.

I am putty under his fingers and they grip my thighs, his crotch pressing into mine. I tug his hair and pull him closer than I possibly can.

I can never get enough.

He moans into my mouth and I pull away, blinking in a daze.

"I've been waiting to do that all week!" He smirks and my chest can feel the vibration of his voice, which dropped an octave.

"Me too," I whisper. He gently sets me down on the floor and my knees almost give way.

"I thought the kiss happens after the date," I tease, arms around his neck and forehead against his. He pecks my nose.

"Yeah well, you're special," he grins.

"Damn right I am!"

Nathan lets Zeus out in the garden. I put my stuff in his room upstairs, smiling to myself.

I am going on a date!

And with my summer love, the boy I've been hopelessly crushing on.

I squeal a bit, adjusting my hair in the mirror.

"You seem excited?"

"Fuck me," I gasp, turning around. My ears grow hot immediately.

"You're adorable," He laughs, walking to me. He pulls me into his arms and I just melt.

"Did you see all of that?" I mutter.

"Yep, even the little squeal."

I groan and feel his chest rumble with laughter.

"Come on, let me take you to this beautiful place I know."

I gasp at the view. The ocean is sprawled out below us as we stand in a deserted clearing with overhanging trees. It's a clear cloudless night, making the stars shine tenfold.

"You like?"

"It's beautiful, Nathan! How did you find this?"

"Well, I used to come here a lot with my dad... before the divorce. He has an interest in astronomy and he taught me how to read the stars."

Nathan opens his bag and takes out a mat, a blanket and a small telescope. He lays it on the soft patch of grass. Then he unrolls a small bundle of fabric, in which there's two wine bottles.

"I'm sorry, this isn't the fancy wine you're used to having but it's good enough," He smiles, setting them down before sitting himself. He pats the space beside him. I can see the twinkle in his eyes even in the partial lighting.

He puts an arm around my shoulder and throws the blanket on us both.

"Good thing I dressed warm," I smile, resting my head on his shoulder.

"And the wine will make you warmer," He laughs, pecking my forehead. "Jeez, we'd be amazing wine uncles to our friends kids yeah? The ones always on some trip abroad!"

"Yeah! And we'd probably spoil them to death. I'm pretty sure Bella would never let us be around her angelic kids. I can imagine Max being the soccer dad!" I snicker.

"The future is fun to think about, but just incredibly scary too."

"Yeah, it is, but it's also full of hope! I have so many things I want to do in my life. For example, skydiving. I was too young to do it when we went to Dubai so it's on my bucket list."

He presses his lips against my forehead again. It makes me feel so loved, so small in his arms. I love it.

"You're a very ambitious person Kai and you work for what you want. I have always admired your tenacity."

"Ooh, big words!" I chuckle. "And you're a hard worker, Nate. You can work with a single-focus mind, almost tunnel vision. It's rare nowadays with so many distractions."

"Are you calling yourself a distraction, Kaiden?"

I laugh, unscrewing the wine bottle.

"Maybe, but some are necessary."

He pulls me in for a kiss, making my hair stand on end. I love when he gets a bit aggressive although I am too shy to admit it.

I savour his soft but cold taste, a hint of gum and cigarettes. His fingers play with the hair on my nape. He pulls away, nose red from the cold.

"You're a beautiful distraction, and I'd forever like you to be mine."

Oh god, I can't handle this much love.

"Why are you so cheesy!" I groan and he chuckles. I take a big gulp of the wine to stop myself from melting into the mat below.

"Only for you."

"Why'd you get two bottles? You have to drive back mister," I tap his nose. "No way I'm staying here all night, there could be snakes here!"

"We're not staying here, you princess. I got two in case we get colder before it's time."

"Time for?" I ask, confused.

He checks his wristwatch.

"Not long now," he smiles. "Meanwhile, I got something."

"Hm?"

He takes out a carton that has chocolate-covered strawberries.

"I got these from Raven, she told me they're your favorite."

"And she's right! Aww, you took her help planning this for me? I'm so touched!" I fake wipe a tear.

"Melodramatic ass." He rolls his eyes.

He picks one strawberry and brings it to my lips. I happily eat it, licking the chocolate off his fingers too.

"Seriously, Kai?" He says in a very low gruff voice. I put my best innocent face on.

"Do you want me to pin you down right here?"

"Ew no, what if a bug gets in somewhere we don't want bugs to be?"

He bursts into laughter and I sigh internally at his beautiful smile, as his eyes form little crescents.

"Only you can say such crap, Kai! Way to ruin the moment!"

I peck his lips quickly. I love this, us together, without fear of judgment, away from the constraints of society and having to not keep our relationship hidden. I love it so much.

"Thank you," I whisper against his lips.

"Why?"

"For bringing me here. It feels like summer all over again but you're actually here with me. It's a day I'll forever cherish."

"I'm happy you like it. And now, for the best part."

I raise my brows. He places a finger under my chin and tilts my head up.

"Oh my god - NATHAN!"

There's a colossal meteor shower in the sky.

I stand up quickly, going closer to the cliff into the clearing. It seems infinitely brighter over the ocean and without the city lights.

They fall, one bright light after the other, shooting stars in the inky sky, leaving me spellbound.

"Fuck, this is beautiful! I can't believe you planned the date to coincide with this, that is single-handedly the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me!"

Nathan is watching me and I pull him by his wrists, crashing my lips on his. He kisses me back fiercely and it feels like a damn meteor shower in my gut.

"I love you so much you know that?" he whispers. "You could wish on all of these shooting stars and I'd want to make all of those wishes come true."

I kiss him again in response to that. I am not good with words at all and this feeling engulfing me whole is making me weak in the knees. I am falling deeper than I ever have before. I look up at the magnificent sky, feeling tears prick my eyes.

"Kaiden?"

"You made me cry, you idiot!" I sniffle. "I love this. It's... the best moment of my life so far!"

"You deserve nothing but the best."

He pulls me into his arms, smiling. I place my chin on his shoulder, still looking at the magical sight above me.

It's over in the next five minutes.

The loss of brilliance leaves me a little melancholy. I sigh into his shoulder as he slowly spins us around.

Right now, there's nowhere else I'd rather be.

We stumble into his empty house at 4 am. I'm tipsy and he's cold. He laces his fingers in mine and we trudge up to his bedroom. He pulls off my beanie and helps me out of my jacket, me doing the same. He runs his fingers through my tousled hair and I close my eyes in bliss.

"You wanna shower, Kai baby?"

"Baby?"

"I... felt like it. I hope you're okay with it."

"Mm, I don't care what you call me as long as you're here, " I smile.

He laughs, kissing me deeply, slowly.

It turns heated quickly and I am on my back on his bed and his sultry mouth is on my neck. I'm making sounds I've never heard myself make. I'm sure there's going to be bright purple hickeys tomorrow.

His touch lights me up, intensifying every feeling, all of the love and passion in me until I'm unraveling in pleasure. He licks me clean and I nearly pass out from the high.

"You taste so good baby," He smiles, making me blush.

"How do you dirty talk with such ease? Sam rubbed off on you, huh?" I ask, more out of curiosity than jealousy.

"Seriously, we just had our first date and you're talking about my - our - ex? God, that is weird to speak out loud!"

I laugh.

"You're right, let's not go there. However, I would very much like a hot shower right now before we get at least two hours of sleep and then head to school."

"I vote we stay in," He says, kissing my stomach.

"Mm, you know they'd call our parents. The last thing I want is Dad getting annoyed at us."

I yelp in surprise as he picks me up, bridal style, making me blush darker than before.

We walk to the shower and he sets me down gently, pinning me against the sink counter and kissing me again.

"I'm never gonna tire of kissing you."

We strip each other down and step into the hot water. The shower turns steamy and Nathan rests against the tiles for support, clutching on my hair, beautifully sinful moans escaping him.

"Fuck yes, Kai, you feel amazing around me, baby!"

He lets out a shuddering gasp and I try not to gag with the sensation in my throat. He pulls me up, kissing my cheeks, his wet curls plastered against his forehead.

Soon, we're both showered and in sweaters, snuggled under the blankets.

"Kai...?"

"Mm?" I mutter, half asleep already.

"Goodnight. I love you."

"Goodnight Nate, dream of us."

I hear him sigh before I drift off.

Today was amazing.
