|| Chapter 15 ||

When we get back to the house, I step out of Drew's car and lean over to pull the passenger seat forward to let out Nathan who is carrying all the bags from Chick-fil-a. Olivia hops over Drew's seat with a smile on her face. She runs ahead of us and doesn't even knock as she walks into the house. "Momma C, your favorite is here!"

I shake my head with a smile as I follow her through the door, helping Drew and Nathan with the food. Mom and dad were still sitting outside on the patio with Harry and Natalie, two empty bottles of wine next to them.

My mother's face brightens when she sees us, "Livvy!" she exclaims with a smile as she gets off the chair. "Come meet Natalie!"

Olivia looks back at me over her shoulder with a wink, "This should be fun." I hand the bags that I'm carrying over to Drew so that I can follow Olivia outside for the fun.

"Olivia is pretty much our seventh child at this point, she's been around forever," my mother was rambling to Natalie as Olivia came over. My mom puts her arm around Olivia and kisses her head, brushing her hair back.

"Your seventh child, Clary," my father says with a relaxed smile as my mother squishes in next to him on the chair.

"Feeling the love, Mr H," Olivia grins, squeezing his shoulder as she moves passed him to greet Natalie.  Harry stands, helping Natalie up with their entwined hands. "Harold, so good to see you again," Olivia smiles sarcastically but still moves forward to lightly hug Harry. Progress after their years of hatred.

Natalie's eyebrows pinch, "Harold? I thought your full name was Harrison?"

Harry shrugs with an eyeroll and an embarrassed smile, "It's a family joke that Sebastian started when we were little."

Natalie looks up at him with a cute pout, "Aw, that's adorable."

"Isn't it?" Olivia grins cheekily leaning forward to pinch Harry's cheek. From the look on his face it wasn't gently.

"Shove off Olivia," Harry glares, pushing her hands away.

"No bad words? Wow, he must really like you because he hates me," Olivia gives Natalie a conspiratorial wink making her giggle.

"Oh I was pre-warned about you," Natalie laughs making Olivia laugh too.

"Where did you get to earlier, Tessy?" mom asks from her seat and I snap my head away from Olivia and Natalie.

"Just saw Drew, we picked up Olivia and Nathan on the way back, got some Chick-fil-a for dinner," I gesture indoors.

"Oh how wonderful, let me go say hello," she gets up off the chair and heads inside.

"As much as I would love to stay and chat, I have to go check on Lottie," Olivia says, slowly moving away from the couple.

"'Check on her'? What's wrong?" Harry asks worriedly as my dad sits up in his seat in interest.

Olivia holds onto the doorframe, looking over her shoulder, "Nothing we can't handle." She squeals loudly as she's suddenly lifted into the air and twirled in a circle making me, my father and my brother roll our eyes. "Baby!"

"Hey babe, how was your day?" Sebastian kisses her quickly, holding her in his arms, "I missed you," another kiss. She grins like an idiot, kissing him again. He looks down at her and then freezes, dropping her onto the floor so she almost falls over. "Is that my shirt?"

Olivia cocks her head to the side and looks down at her shirt, realizing that she's still in her pajamas. "Maybe, or maybe it belongs to my other boyfriend," she winks, walking around him and further into the house.

"Well then tell your other boyfriend to stop stealing my shirts," he grumbles, walking in after her. "Do I smell Chick-fil-a?" He walks towards the kitchen for further inspection. I follow behind quietly. "Nate? Drew? When did you guys get here?" There's a pause of silence as Nathan scratches the back of his neck awkwardly.

Olivia speaks up. "You," she points her finger at Nathan, "with me, now." With that she turns around and heads straight up the stairs towards Charlotte's room.

Sebastian has a mischievous grin on his face, "Oooh, someone's in the dog house, been there, man." Sebastian slaps Nathan's back, "Words of advice, don't talk until she's finished, don't interrupt and do not try to kiss her when she's still mad, she will punch you in the throat."

"Talking from experience, bro?" I raise an eyebrow with a mocking grin. He just sticks his tongue out immaturely at me.

I start to follow them but Olivia stops me at the stairs, "Not you, Sleuth," she winks and I huff in response.

Drew laughs, putting his arms around my shoulders from behind, pulling me backwards. "You know, that's a great nickname for you... Sleuth."

"Shut up," I grumble, pulling out of his arms and moving straight for the food. As I'm about to take a bite of a waffle fry Drew grabs it out of my hands and stuffs it in his mouth. "Dude! That was mine," I whine.

"And it was delicious," he grins cheekily at me.

My mother walks up to Drew and wraps his tall frame in her short arms, "Are you sleeping over, Honey?"

He leans into her hug, and I smile knowing that his mother rarely shows him any affection in general. "Sorry Mrs H, I actually have a bunch of family visiting right now so I have to get back before my mother kills me."

"Boo," she pouts, patting his cheek with a smile.

"What? Then why did you come get me when you had family over?" I ask throwing my arms up in question.

"You needed me." Short. Simple. To the point.

After Drew had left and Maddie went to bed; my mom, Sophie, Sebastian and I are all sitting, squished up on the couch with a tub of ice-cream that we're passing to each other, holding our own spoons waiting for any sign of movement from upstairs. My dad and Harry are still sitting outside, chatting while Natalie sits in an armchair across from us. She has furrowed eyebrows.

"So... you're the one that slashed Spring's tires?" She asks, pointing at Sophie.

"Oh my god, Natalie, keep up," Sebastian groans dramatically. "Tessa slashed the tires, Sophie is way too innocent for all of that, and the girls name was Summer, not Spring." He suddenly jumps in his seat with wide eyes, looking at all of us. "We never called her Spring, we called her every other season under the sun but not Spring! What a fucking waste of an opportunity right there," he slumps back into his seat, defeated.

"We did what we could when we could," my mother informs her, using the spoon to gesture.

"Like slashing tires?" I ask innocently, a slight grin on my face.

"But, you were fourteen?" she asks again, looking in my direction.

I can't help but smirk at her innocent expression, "Best moment of my life," I reply with a cocky attitude, leaning back into the sofa.

Natalie nods her head slowly, taking a sip of her wine. "Okay, I think I'm getting it now, and you're dating your sister's best friend?" She now points to Sebastian.

"Yup," he smiles, obviously thinking of Olivia.

"After you got mad at Sophie for dating your best friend?" She raises an eyebrow.

My mom snaps her fingers at Sophie, who hands over the ice-cream. "That's what I said!" My mom exclaims taking a large bite of ice-cream. "I mean honestly, Bass honey, I love you to death but that was not your best moment."

Mom continues berating Sebastian and I'm entertained to listen but I get distracted by the sound of soft thuds coming from the ceiling. "Shh! I sense movement."

Everyone turns their heads towards the stairs and as soon as we hear the first footstep from the top we scramble around, trying to look like we weren't waiting around for them. Sophie grabs the remote and turns on the television, lowering the volume so it looks like it's been on this whole time just quietly. Sebastian rests his head on the pillow resting on our mothers lap and plants his feet on mine. I pinch his skin, making him yelp and try to kick me.

Natalie just watches us, slightly panicked before swiveling in the armchair to face the television, a look of determined concentration on her face. Huh, she'll fit in just fine with us.

Olivia is the first one down and I take the opportunity to shake my head, moving my just passed shoulder length hair to the side so that I can catch a glimpse. She's already staring at us with a slight smirk on her face, letting us know that we're not fooling anyone.

Another set of footsteps comes down the stairs and we all abandon our casual ruse and perk up, watching quietly. Nathan comes to a stop on the bottom step and turns to look at us, taking a startled step back from our stares.

"Are you guys serious?" Charlotte's voice behind Nathan is annoyed as she steps around him, her arms folded across her chest. "Nathan, don't say a word." Their faces don't give away anything

"Oh come on!" Mom yells at them and Sebastian throws a pillow in their direction, frustrated. Natalie's eyes are wide as she tries to watch everyone one. I roll my eyes and lean back, already knowing the obvious outcome.

"You two are so sad," I comment, getting up off the couch, putting my hands in my pockets. "I'm going to bed."

"Don't you want to hear what happened?" Natalie asks in confusion.

I look over my shoulder at Natalie as I stop next to Olivia, "Already know, he wouldn't be here if they broke up. Night."
