"Woah, you look amazing," Cassie says as I come down the stairs. I changed into a jean miniskirt, white camisole, and chestnut-colored gladiator sandals. I also left my hair down in its naturally wavy state and only put mascara and some clear lip gloss on.

"Thanks! We should call an Uber since we've been drinking, and knowing you, you probably plan on drinking more."

She almost rebuttals, but then thinks of the validity behind my statement. "Good idea," she agrees.

Besides the fact that his shift ended hours ago, I can't ask Howard to drive us because the last thing I need is for him to slip to Liam where I'm going. I call us an Uber Lux, and it takes us about 15 minutes to get to Tyler's house from mine.

When we pull up, I'm shocked to find 20 people standing in front. Kyle said it was a small get-together, and anything over 20 is definitely not small in my book.

"I thought you said this wasn't a party," I pull Cassie towards me and whisper as we make our way to the front door.

"I don't think it is. I mean, Kyle wouldn't lie," Cassie says before opening the door.

Well, Kyle was wrong. This is most definitely a party. And, I'm screwed.

"Okay, so maybe he did lie," Cassie says once we walk inside. There are at least 40 people smoking and drinking. The only thing that Kyle got right is the fact that Justin and his crew aren't here. Neither are Cecilia and Samantha.

Kyle sees us walk in and waves at us to come over. He's standing with two guys who I've never seen before. They're both dressed like every other guy at this party in their fitted button-downs and slim jeans.

"You made it!" Kyle exclaims as he goes in to kiss Cassie.

She kisses him back, but pulls away reluctantly. "Babe, you said this wasn't a party."

"I mean it wasn't when you texted me. Originally, it was just me and some guys from the team. Everyone else showed up within the last 30 minutes."

"It's true," one of the friends chimes in. He's cute with his parted blonde hair.

"I mean you could have given us a heads up," Cassie whispers to Kyle, but loud enough so that I can hear.

"I'm sorry, babe," he says, even though it's clear that he doesn't know what he's apologizing for.

"I think we should go," Cassie turns to me and says. It's weird that she's freaking out more than I am. As long as Noah and his friends aren't here, then this shouldn't be a problem.

"It's fine, Cass. Noah's not here. Let's just be cautious of time."

"You sure?" she asks.

"Positive," I say before turning to the blonde-haired guy. "What's your name?"

"Jeremy," he smiles, showcasing his pearly white teeth. "Yours?"

"Sophia."

"Sophia," he repeats, lending out his hand. "It's very nice to meet you, Sophia."
