Sora's pov

"That was some good food." I blurted nervously as we began the long ride home.

Rowan and Roman nodded silently, making me all the more nervous.

Reagan looked between the three of us and mumbled something before looking out the window pouting.

When the car came to a stop I gulped fumbling with my seatbelt.

Why am I so nervous?

Why are my fingers still shaking?

I'm fine, I'm home, I'm with the guys, not my father.

"Ready Sora?" I jumped and turned to Roman giving him my middle finger.

"Don't rush me, the seatbelt doesn't like to be rushed. Jeez."

Roman raised an eyebrow but allowed me to take my time in climbing out of the vehicle.

I stumbled into the home and gulped again when Rowan placed a hand on my shoulder.

I turned my head and watched Carrots and Reagan have a conversation not far from us.

"Baby?" He questioned.

I smiled weakly turning to look at him.

"Fine." I responded quickly.

I stood very still as Rowan placed his arms around my waist and brought his lips to my neck.

Roman slid up behind me and moved my hair to the side to kiss the back of my neck.

"Pardon me," Roman and Rowan paused and blinked at Carrots.

I broke free of the two men slightly relieved.

"What the fuck do you want?" Roman asked looking at Carrots, clearly annoyed.

"Was I not invited?" Carrots asked, but I could tell there was no seriousness in his question.

I titled my head to the side.

What is this shitty parrot up to now?

Roman grabbed the front of Carrots shirt with narrowed eyes.

I watched as Roman pulled Carrots closer so they were eye to eye.

"You're turning me on," Carrots blurted making Roman jump back eyes wide.

"What the fuck- never mind," Roman muttered looking stunned and concerned.

Rowan looked at Carrots and something seemed to click.

"Hey Roman, I just remembered, we have to talk about that thing."

Roman grimaced and glanced at me longingly.

"Now?"

I watched unsure as Rowan dragged Roman away.

"Yes, now. It can't wait."

I hesitated and walked over to the kitchen right by the front door, reaching for the fridge.

I froze as Carrots grabbed my wrist and began inspecting it.

"You got hurt." Carrots rubbed a finger on the red skin.

I put on a brave smile and waved him off pulling my hand free.

"I'm a big girl. I can handle it."

Carrots said nothing for a moment, watching me get a drink of water.

"Reagan told me what happened."

I spit out my water and then wiped my mouth slightly embarrassed.

"What do you want to say to me Carrots?! Stop with the minds games!" I snapped.

As Carrots took a step forward, I took one back.

My eyes went wide as my back hit a wall, and my cup slid from my fingers.

As Carrots raised a hand, I turned my head and flinched.

"That's what I thought, you're scared."

I lifted my head and stared at Carrots, frustrated tears filling my eyes.

"What's it to you?!" I asked chest heaving.

Carrots said nothing to this, and looked down at me with a hard and calculating look.

It reminded me that he was human now. Not just my animal rival.

"They wanted to touch you, but you were frightened because of everything your father said to you, correct? That man, he hit you, didn't he?"

I swallowed thickly and looked away wrapping my arms around myself.

"Yes." I whispered, unsure as to why I was admitting this to him.

But.... Carrots had helped me, hadn't he?

When I was sick, or lonely.

"Sora, why didn't you tell them? Did you want your first time with them to be ruined by thoughts of your father?" Carrots asked.

I flushed.

"Even if they say sex isn't as important anymore, I happen to know Rowan lives off it. And Roman made it clear he wants me as well."

Carrots raised a black eyebrow, and for a moment I couldn't help but notice, for a parrot man, he was quite handsome.

"You want to make them stay with you, by your side, because of sex." Carrots guessed.

"You are worried they will get bored and leave you." Carrots said going on.

I wiped my wet cheeks.

"Fuck you." I whispered.

Carrots stared down at me.

"They love you, so they won't leave."

I shrugged.

"Love isn't always enough. My mom loved me, and she left." I told him and sighed wiping my face again.

"It's more complicated then saying 'I love you' there is more to love than that. Love is an action, but even saying that doesn't bring it justice."

Carrots nodded.

"I know what Love is."

I cracked a smile.

"You're a parrot."

Carrots gave me a heated look that made me shiver.

W-what was that?

"I am not a parrot anymore."

I looked at him with wide eyes taking him.

"No, no you are not." I whispered.

Sorry guys!

As much as sexy time would have been great, it just didn't work.

After the trauma of seeing her father again, brushing it off with guy time seemed like a bad plan.

I hope you'll forgive me! 💕
