I sat in the police station with Roman and decided to go over some pros and cons.

Pro, Chris was dead. A big relief.

Con, Chris was well, dead. My father was going to be pissed.

Pro, I was now aware that strangers with cameras were dangerous.

Con, Roman has been calling me an idiot all day.

Pro, everyone knew I was innocent, I had been told my alibi was airtight, and that it was impossible for me to have done it.

Con, I had been in the station for hours, and I felt like hell itself.

"Excuse me, you two are free to go home now, we don't have any more questions."

I nodded in relief and stood.

Roman did the same and nodded at the officer.

"The card, you guys are trying to figure if you can match the hand writing right?" Roman asked.

The cop nodded quickly.

"Yes, now go home. You both look exhausted."

You have no idea lady.

Roman and I walked out and made our way to his car.

"So you talked to the guy how many times?" Roman asked dryly.

I looked out the window deciding to ignore him the best I could.

Thankfully it worked because Roman didn't speak another word even as we arrived back to the building.

I allowed him to walk ahead and trailed behind as he unlocked the door and walked in ushering me inside when I paused.

My head hurt,

I was cold,

The room was spinning,

And I felt like someone tried to throw my heart into a meat grinder.

"So? What happened?" Rowan asked walking over. Completely clueless as to the two fights that had occurred hours ago.

Roman rubbed his eyes.

"Well, nothing. Other than getting questioned of course. We'll get a call in the next day or so with an update."

I looked around the room feeling numb.

Maybe I'll go sleep this off.

Then stress eat for awhile. Popcorn is good for that.

"Sora, are you okay?" I looked up slightly surprised.

"I'm find Rowan, really, I'm just... a little... shocked."

Roman snorted and opened the fridge loudly.

That small action hurt. A lot.

Rowan glanced between us and decided to ignore it.

"Is there anything I can get you? A bite to eat, something to drink, a cuddly blanket?"

I nodded softly.

"A blanket would be nice." I love blankets...

Rowan quickly went off to fetch a blanket leaving me with Roman.

I turned and watched him drink a bottle of water. He paused and met my eyes.

"Did you want some or...?"

I shook my head quickly and looked away swaying on my feet.

"Sora, you're back." Carrots said warmly and gently brushed my hair from my face.

I nodded and looked behind him.

"Is Reagan okay? Did anyone tell him what happened?" I asked anxiously.

Carrots frowned.

"Don't worry about Reagan. He's fine."

I stepped back and winced rubbing my temples. Carrots watched studying my movements.

"I- I..." I stumbled.

Carrots quickly caught me and allowed me to lean on him. Roman paused and turned.

"Sora, your burning up." Carrots murmured placing his hand on my forehead.

Rowan walked in with the blanket and walked over. Carrots looked up at his once owner.

"Rowan, could you put that on the couch please? Sora has a fever."

Roman choked on the water he was drinking and turned eyes widening.

"What did you say?" Roman asked, quickly looking me over.

Carrots glared at him.

"I think you've done enough, why don't you stay over there, okay?"

Roman sneered at him but obeyed.

Rowan scrambled over to the couch and waited.

"Sora, I'm going to pick you up and put you on the couch, okay?"

I looked up at him and slowly nodded.

"Alright."

Carrots gently put me down and allowed Rowan to bundle me up in the soft fabric.

Rowan stepped back muttering something about cold water as Carrots bent down and brushed the hair from my face.

"Why are you doing this?" I whispered clutching my stomach when sharp pains suddenly came over me.

"I saw it in a movie once, so I thought it would be the right thing to do."

My eyes widened.

He keeps saying that....

"Now you get some rest, okay? I'll be here if you need me."

I nodded and watched Rowan approach with a small cloth.

I exhaled as he placed the cold cloth of my forehead.

"I don't know what happened between you and Roman but-"

I grabbed his hand making him pause in his words.

"What's wrong?" Rowan breathed as tears slid down from the corners of my eyes.

"Hold me." I pleaded, my voice cracking.

"I know it's selfish to ask, but it hurts so fucking much-"

Rowan gathered me in his arms and laid beside me the best he could.

I pressed my lips together to hold back the cries that wanted to escape.

I pulled myself together and squeezed my eyes closed.

"Why?" I murmured clutching at the back of his shirt desperately.

Rowan inhaled sharply and pressed a kiss on the top of my head.

"Because I love you."

No... No way....

"No you don't... I don't believe you." I snapped angrily - although it sounded rather weak and pathetic due to my crying and the pain racking my body.

Rowan smiled and held me tighter sharing his warmth as I shivered.

"Then I'll have to prove it to you, like you did me."

After a long week of being sick Roman dragged me to the doctor. Rowan and Reagan coming along.

The examination took hours.

Tempers were high.

***

Third person.

"Well? What is it?" Roman snapped glaring down at the doctor who had finally left the room Sora was in to talk to them.

The doctor shrugged.

"She's fine. I mean, other than the clear stress and anxiety. If she starts eating right I'm sure she'll recover."

Rowan said nothing from where he was sitting.

He already knew what was wrong with Sora, so did Carrots, even Harold. It was just taking Reagan and Roman forever and a half.

"Are you sure there's nothing wrong with her? Like something terminal?" Reagan asked fearfully. Guilt written deep in his brown eyes.

The doctor sighed loudly and looked down at her chart.

"So she's not eating, doesn't talk much, and feels sick all the time?"

Roman nodded impatiently.

"Yes, now what's wrong with her?"

The doctor sighed again.

"Well... there may be a chance that she has H.A."

Roman blinked.

"What the fuck is-"

Reagan grabbed the doctors hand to get her attention.

"Is she going to be okay?!"

The doctor shrugged.

"Maybe. It takes time, and healing."

Roman frowned.

"What exactly does H.A. stand for?"

The doctor rolled her eyes and scribbled something down.

"Heart ache you dimwhit, my patient is depressed and has a broken heart. Rocket science I know. Now get your ass out this room and go fix it like real men. Oh, and have a good day."

***

I looked down at the brown paper I was sitting on and sighed looking at the door longingly.

I reached over and grabbed one of the lollipops the nice doctor had offered me.

My fingers made quick work of the wrapper and I put it in mouth.

Hmm, strawberry.

The door opened and Roman walked in eyes searching the room until he saw me.

"Sora your sick why are you eating a-" he suddenly stopped and cleared his throat.

"Are you ready to go? The doctor said we could go now."

Frowning at his sudden change of attitude I nodded and hopped off the doctor table thing.

Whatever those things are called. This is why I didn't got to med school.

"Are we going back to the apartment right away?" I asked slowly trailing behind him. Roman turned and frowned.

"Give me your hand Sora."

I glared and placed my hands behind me back.

"Why should I?"

Roman rolled his eyes and grabbed my hand from behind my back.

"Because you're walking speed is so low if I didn't pay attention I'd leave you behind on accident."

Holding back a sarcastic comment about the way he walked, I allowed him to drag me to where Rowan and Reagan were.

The doctor nodded proudly at Roman for some odd reason and smiled at me.

I gazed at her suspiciously and bit down on my tongue.

"I'll see you some other time Sora."

I gazed at her happy face and shrugged.

"Hopefully not."

At Roman's sharp look at continued quickly.

"Cause if I see you I'm sick." I added lamely.

She nodded and grinned watching Roman drag me away.

As we entered the car Roman glanced at me.

"Why are you being so rude! She was only trying to help!"

I glared at him and stuck my head in the window curling in on myself.

"Why do you care? You treat people like that all the time."

Roman paused and looked at Rowan for help.

Rowan shrugged and opened a magazine.

Roman sighed heavily.

"Sora..."

I clenched my jaw and gazed out the window.

No one gave a damn when I tried to help.

To hell with it all.

My first real love thinks I'm like his old stalker.

What's the bloody point trying anymore?

I'M SORRY!

ACK, THIS TOOK A TURN I WASN'T ORIGINALLY GOING TO DO!

OH WELL, THINGS WILL GET BETTER, I PROMISE!
