Even though their laughter didn't last long, it reminded everyone that even in the darkest times, there is still a chance for joy and connection. Despite their ongoing fears, the group found strength in finding humor and humanity amidst the chaos.

But fate was tricky. Now, Kozumi regrets not taking things seriously.

"Oh, God—please help me. I want to go home," Kozumi whispered.

Run!

Run!

Run!

No matter how scary and dangerous the situation was, Kozumi remained strong as she ran away from the clutches of death. Every day, the smell of rotting flesh and the echoing screams in the abandoned school threatened to overwhelm her. But she refused to give in to the horrors lurking around every corner. Her determination to survive pushed her beyond her limits as she ran with all her might.

In the never-ending maze of darkness, Kozumi stayed determined, knowing that each step brought her closer to the light at the end. Nothing could break her spirit as she fought relentlessly to stay alive, even against impossible odds.

Kozumi felt relief as she closed her dormitory room door, holding a bundle of food she had scavenged from the cafeteria. Her growling stomach eagerly awaited the meal, and she silently thanked God for the sustenance that would keep her going. As she sat down to eat, the taste barely registered on her tongue, as her thoughts were consumed by the weight of her solitude.

She had no one to talk to, no one to share her troubles with, and no one who could understand her pain. Despite the bleakness, Kozumi refused to lose hope. With a heavy heart, she tidied up her meager belongings and lay down to rest, reminiscing about happier times.

The weight of loneliness and fear threatened to overwhelm her, but she didn't want to give in to despair. Instead, she found solace in the fact that she was still alive and had made it through another day. Drifting off to sleep, her heart was filled with unspoken grief.

She wished for the strength to overcome her challenges and create a brighter future one day.

A sudden touch on her forehead jolted her awake. In defense, she instinctively slapped the hand away and jumped out of bed. But when her eyes focused, she was dumbfounded to see her friends standing there.

Their expressions were a mix of shock, disbelief, and overwhelming joy. Kozumi couldn't believe her eyes and pinched her face hard, desperately hoping that she wasn't trapped in some kind of cruel dream.

"You guys...you're really alive!" Tears streamed down Kozumi's cheeks as her voice cracked with emotions she couldn't contain.

Without a moment's hesitation, she rushed toward her friends, embracing them tightly as if she were afraid they might disappear again.

"I...I thought I'd never see you again," Kozumi managed to say between sobs, her voice filled with a blend of relief and disbelief.

Mimi, still in a state of disbelief herself, chuckled weakly.

"Did your brain fry from the fever or something, Kozumi?"

Kozumi sniffled, attempting a laugh through her tears. "I must have lost my mind after all we've been through. But seeing you here, it's like a miracle."

An-an chimed in, her concern was evident. "Maybe we should take her to the clinic, just to be safe. She does look pale."

Nodding in agreement, Mimi gently placed a hand on Kozumi's shoulder. "Let's get you checked out, Kozumi. We're here for you."

The weight of her loneliness and the burden of her fears had been momentarily lifted by the presence of her friends. It was a small glimmer of hope, a reminder that even in the midst of despair, there could still be moments of joy and connection.

Kozumi took a deep breath, savoring the feeling of being surrounded by familiar faces and the warmth of their support. As they walked together towards the clinic, Kozumi couldn't help but reflect on the resilience that had brought them this far.

The journey ahead might still be fraught with challenges, but Kozumi knew that as long as they had each other, they had a fighting chance. And with renewed hope in her heart, she silently vowed to treasure every moment and face whatever came their way, together.

"Why are you looking at us like that? Don't you believe that we're still alive?" Anna questioned, her voice filled with confusion and concern.

Kozumi blinked, taken aback by her words.

"Did she experience a nightmare?" they wondered silently.

The words echoed in her mind, making her question the reality of the situation.

As the discussion continued around her, Kozumi slowly started to realize that perhaps she had returned to a time before the apocalypse had begun. It was a surreal realization, and she couldn't help but feel a mixture of relief and disbelief.

Her friends, sensing her confusion, accompanied Kozumi as she nervously made her way to the school's clinic for a checkup. The recent ordeal she had gone through still weighed heavily on her mind, and she could feel her palms becoming clammy with anxiety. However, her friends remained by her side, offering unwavering support that brought her a sense of comfort in her time of need.

Sitting in the waiting room, Kozumi's thoughts drifted back to her last visit to the doctor. She remembered the advice given to her, emphasizing the need for self-care and healthier habits. It became clear to her that she needed to take better care of herself, avoiding the unhealthy behaviors that had contributed to her health scare. And so, when the doctor reiterated the importance of rest, avoiding late nights, and consuming nutritious snacks, Kozumi nodded in agreement, determined to heed those words and make positive changes.

With her friends' unwavering support and guidance from the doctor, Kozumi slowly started to recover. However, the memory of that terrifying experience still haunted her, leaving a lasting impression whenever she glanced in the mirror. Despite her best efforts, she couldn't shake the lingering sense of unease, a constant reminder of life's fragility and the significance of self-preservation.

"It's just a dream! Nothing has happened yet."

Her body shivering from the lingering chill, Kozumi stepped out of the bathroom and couldn't help but feel a sense of urgency. The warmth of the room failed to dispel the nagging feeling of impending doom that had plagued her for days. Determined to be prepared, she decided to start taking action.

Rushing to her study table, Kozumi laid out her plans with a sense of urgency. She grabbed a notebook and pen, swiftly jotting down ideas for a bucket list. But her preparations didn't stop there.
