I gritted my teeth together.

Caroline's loud giggles only added to my anger.

I hissed out a deep breath, shooting her the biggest glare I could master.

Of course it only made her giggle louder.

I scowled at her, "shut up!"

Her giggling continued until she was practically wheezing on the floor, causing a couple heads to turn our way.

I pinched the bridge of my nose, breathing in deeply.

This has to be some mistake?

"Out of all people" She wheezed, "you" She choked on another laugh, clutching her stomach.

I narrowed my eyes at her.

"I am not playing Juliet" I shook my head. I was going to see Mrs Petri next class and beg her to switch my character with someone else.

"So who's your Romeo?" Caroline smirked once she finally calmed down.

Trailing her finger down the list, a fat grin shortly broke out onto her face. "Oh this is definitely fate" she squealed, "Blake is playing Romeo!"

I choked on my own saliva.

No no no no no no no

"You are lying!" I lurched forward, examining the list myself.

{Blake Martinez: Romeo}

My eyes grew wide as I stared at his name in disbelief.

My heart began to thump rapidly against my chest, uneasiness washing over me.

"The two of you will be lip locking soon enough!" She teased.

I shot her a hard glare, "don't you dare start"

She only replied with a final smirk before looking for her name on the list.

Enduring in my own world of thoughts, my stomach clenched at the thought of kissing Blake.

"I'm playing Lady Capulet, Juliet's mother!" Caroline squealed again.

I covered my ears with the palms of my hands, smiling at her enthusiasm.

Nerves instantly began to bubble up inside of me.

Why was I getting so worked up about this?

It's just a stupid play. I kept chanting to myself.

**********

I entered the cafeteria, each table a cosseted huddle of people raising their voices to be heard above the loud chatter. I forcefully pushed past students, scrunching my nose at the smell of sweat and body odour.

I stood in the queue for my lunch, casting my eyes on the students who went about with their lives.

It didn't take long for my eyes to drift upon Blake.

That annoyingly sexy asshole.

My thoughts instantly drifted back to the play. Of course Blake was Romeo and I happened to be playing his 'lover'. I wonder if Blake knew I w-

"Your drooling"

My thoughts came to a abrupt stop by Alecs teasing voice. The hair on my skin prickled up as I felt his presence emerged from beside me.

I shifted, narrowing my eyes at his face.

"Am not" I crossed my arms across my chest with a huff.

His deep chuckle caused a soft blush to appear on my cheeks.

"It's okay if you have a crush on Blake" he leaned towards me, "I can keep a secret" he smirked.

I shivered, taking a step back.

"I don't have a crush on Blake" I glared at him.

Turning back around, I paid for a ham and cheese toastie and an apple juice before walking as far away from Alec as possible.

My cheeks were still burning and I had no idea why.

I mean, maybe I had a tintsy tiny small crush on Blake but I would never tell anybody that.

Pffff

"Hey girl!" Caroline's loud greeting, brought me back from my thoughts.

I lifted my head up, smiling brightly at her, Jade and Sky.

"Hey guys" I grinned, taking a seat on our table.

I began nibbling on my toastie, my eyes searching for Blake again.

Ugh what is wrong with me?

I couldn't help but frown when I saw him. He wasn't smiling, or laughing like his friends. It looked like he was deep in thought.

My breath caught in my throat as his head snapped up, meeting my eyes.

Shit shit shit shit shit

Why was I not looking away? Look away! Dammit.

My body didn't move.

I continued to stare, holding his gaze.

His eyes narrowed, as he glared at me.

I scowled at him.

What was he trying to fricken accomplish?

"So what should we do this weekend considering its Friday?" Jade's voice interrupted our staring match.

I instantly shifted back around in my seat, taking one last bite of my toastie.

"It's going to be really hot Saturday maybe we can go to the b-" the sound of a lunch trey hitting our table cut Caroline off.

Turning our heads, my eyes widened in surprise as Alec approached our table.

What is he doing here?

It didn't take long for the rest of the boys to show up behind him.

I gave Alec a questioning glance to which he completely ignored.

He sat down across from me, scooting closely next to Caroline. Jake and Luke sat on either side of me, Luke next to Sky and Jake next to Jade.

Blake who looked like he was fuming, sat down also across from me, in between Alec and Jade.

I grumbled under my breath.

Judging from the hard glare on his face, it didn't take a genius to guess that he was forced to sit here.

"Why are you here?" I hissed at Alec.

I still remember what you did with my ice cream dipshit.

"Sitting" was all he said.

I narrowed my eyes at the small smirk tugging at his lips.

"Smartass" I grumbled under my breath.

My skin prickled at the feel of Blake's gaze on me. I lifted my head to meet his eyes but he turned his head. He was trying to ignore me and it frustrated me. I didn't want to be ignored by him.

Why are they even here? I'm sure they have better things to do then sit at our table.

Rolling my eyes, I looked over at Jake. He was glancing at Jade who was playing with her hair.

I grinned. Jade was too busy playing with her hair to notice her drink tip over and spill all over her top.

"Oh shit" she said, the strawberry pink liquid slowly staining through her shirt. She attempted to whip the liquid off with a napkin but soon gave up seeing it just made it worse. With one final curse, she pouted, resting her chin in her hands.

I glanced back at Jake to see him still looking at her with a faint smile on his face.

I mentally swooned at the sight. They would make such a cute couple!

I glanced over at Sky to see her chattering away with Luke, wide smiles stretched on their faces.

My heart swelled. Luke would be such a good friend to Sky. She hated guys but for some reason she got along well with him.

"Your so annoying" I flickered my gaze over to Caroline who was scowling at Alec. He grinned down lazily at her as she glared at him. "It's just a matter of time before you fall for me like everyone else babe" he smirked.

I narrowed my eyes. Arrogant son of a bitch.

"Heaven" I turned to Caroline. "Yea?" I smiled, my eyes flickering between her and Blake.

He was glaring at his phone, ignoring everyone around him.

What the hell was his problem? Why did he have to be so moody all the damn time. Having friends wasn't such a bad thing!

"we still haven't figured out what to do Saturday" Caroline said giving me a look that said help.

I sighed, running a hand through my knotted hair.

"Alec take the hint and leave my friend alone" I said sweetly, suppressing the urge to roll my eyes at his lopsided grin.

"I'm good" he smirked, slinging his arm around her shoulders. "I have an idea" he said.

This seemed to get everybody's attention. Everyone shifted in their seats, all eyes now on to him.

"What?" Caroline snapped.

"How about we all spend the day at the beach tomorrow?" he proposed.

I Immediately shook my head, "absolutely not" i stood up.

He looked at me in amusement as I shook my head again, "I am not spending a whole day with a fucking murderer".

I mentally slapped myself. Great excuse.

"Murderer?" He asked innocently.

I glared at him, smiling sarcastically "don't for a second think that I haven't forgotten about my ice cream Alec".

"I agree" I froze at the sound of Blake's voice.

"I'm not spending a day with her" he shrugged, going back to typing away on his phone.

I gasped dramatically.

Oh that little ASS!

Why did he have such a problem with me?!

I slammed my fists on the table, glowering down at him.

He slowly lifted his head from his phone, his crystal blue eyes meeting mine.

"What" he snapped.

I clenched my fists, sucking in a deep breath.

"Oh you think your so tough don't you" I hissed.

He was acting ridiculous! Who did he think he was?

"Your so sensitive" he replied flatly, unfazed from my outburst.

My eyes only narrowed. "Me sensitive?" I scoffed. "Yes I am sensitive to the fact that you are a COMPLETE ASSHOLE!" I shouted.

Alec snickered, trying to cover it up with a cough.

I ignored the other amused looks from my friends, my full attention on the arrogant dickhead in the leather jacket.

"Are you done?"

I growled, "Why you little!" I lunged for him, attempting to claw at his face but I was sadly met with thin air.

Blake had swiftly grabbed ahold of my wrist, gripping it firmly in his large hand.

"I can assure you that there is nothing little about me kitten" he tugged me closer.

I struggled against him, wanting nothing more than to slap him hard across his face.

"As much as we would all love to watch you love birds get all down and dirty, we have a weekend to plan" Luke smirked.

I scowled, pulling my hand away from Blake's grasp, sitting back down in my seat with a huff.

"Bitch" I heard him mutter.

I glared at him, "prick" I muttered back.

"Princess" he hissed.

"Dickface" I hissed back.

"Can you guys fuck already jeez" Jake piped up, a bored expression on his face.

I gasped, my cheeks tinting a light shade of pink.

"Prude" Blake smirked darkly.

I narrowed my eyes, "man whore"

"You sound like my fucking parents" Sky groaned.

"He started it" i grumbled.

BRINGGGGGGGGGG

"I'm up for it" Sky said standing up.

"Well I have nothing better to do on a hot afternoon so why not" Caroline stood while clapping her hands in excitement.

"Sure why not? I need a tan anyway." Jade replied looking at the boys.

A chorus of "I'm in" came from the guys.

It was only Blake and I left that hadn't replied yet.

I crossed my arms over my chest, "I'm just a little curious to know why you want to hang out with us this Saturday. I thought you only like to hang out by yourselves"

"You should be grateful, begging even little girl" Alec smirked.

I rolled my eyes, "well I'm not" I smiled.

"I'm getting bored and your not annoying like the other girls at this school." He said, slinging an arm over Caroline giving me a pouty look.

I sighed, "Okay fine I'm in"

Caroline squealed happily, "okay we will meet you guys at the beach tomorrow in front of the pier at 11:00am" She smiled.

The boys nodded except for Blake who was already out the cafeteria doors.

I scoffed "unbelievable"

"See you Saturday" Alec smirked, pecking Caroline on the cheek before he stalked off, Luke and Jake following after him.

Sky smirked at the blush forming on her cheeks.

"This should be fucking interesting"

I nodded my head in agreement.

Couldn't agree more.
