Ian POV

I'm sitting at our lunch table when all of sudden Shane comes up to me, "Where's Cupcake?! She wasn't in second period and she's not in her third period class!" I look up at him and shrug my shoulders, "I have no idea, she's probably walking with Lily and them. Just wait until they get in here."

He nods his head and sits down with a sigh. "Where did y'all go first period? I saw y'all run pass your class this morning." I take a sip of my drink, "We went up to the roof."

A couple of minutes later everybody comes to the table except for Quiet. Lily sits down beside Shane and looks at me, "What's wrong with Shane?" I let out a soft sigh, "He can't find Quiet. I said that she might be with you, but I guess I was wrong."

Lily looks at Shane and laughs, "She skipped with her friend, Owen. She texted me and told me that she will be gone for the rest of the day and be back for practice." I start choking on my food and Shane sits up quickly.

"WHAT?!" Me and Shane shout out at the same time, "She got me worrying about her, she should have told me at least." Lily rubs his back and laughs, "I was supposed to tell y'all, but I forgot." Shane glares at Lily and rolls his eyes, "Remind me to tell Cupcake to not let Lily deliver messages."

Mason nods his head, "Will do. I saw her leave the school, but I didn't think it would be such a big deal." Shane bangs on the table and reaches over to grab Mason by the shirt, "When exactly were you going to tell us that?!"

Mason starts laughing and scratching his head, "I forgot to tell you myself, my bad." Shane lets go of Mason shirt and puts his hand on his forehead, "Y'all are giving me a headache."

I look over at Austin, "Is there anything you're forgetting to tell us?" He looks at me and shakes his head, "Nope, I'm just as surprised as you are."

Why did Owen come to pick her up? What's going on between them? They've gotten so close in such a short time of knowing each other.

"Ian!" I look up quickly and see Hannah staring down at me, "I've been calling you for three minutes straight!" I look over and see Lily being held back by Shane.

"Where the hell is Hazel?!" I look at Hannah with confusion all over my face, "Don't play dumb! You were with her this morning! Megan has a bruise on her face and she got it from Hazel!"

"That's a load of bullshit! How the hell would Hazel give Megan a bruise?! She's been gone since second period started!" Hannah walks up to Lily, "You're lucky I'm being held back because if I wasn't I would be chocking you now!"

I grab Hannah hand and she turns to look at me, "Where's Megan?" She lets out a long sigh, "Follow me if you want to see her." She walks off and I slowly start following behind her.

"What the hell Ian?! You really believe her?!" I look back at Mason and shake my head no. I put my finger over my lips to signal him to shush. He looks at me and then at Lily to try and calm her down.

I don't believe Quiet did anything to Megan. I just want to know who has been sending her threatening messages.

Minutes later we see Megan sitting on a bench. "Megan! I brought Ian!" Megan looks up and smiles at Hannah. I look at Hannah's face and realize there is a bruise on her face.

"Where did you get the bruise from?" She looks at me and crosses her arms, "Hazel punched me in the eye a few minutes ago." I arch my eyebrow and sigh, "How could she have done that if she's been gone since the end of first period?"

Megan's eyes widen in shock, "Now tell me. Who really punched you in the eye?" She sucks her teeth and looks at Hannah, "Lily punched me in the eye." I let out a loud groan, "Why did she punch you in the eye?"

Hannah lets out a groan, "Why does it matter why she punched her in the eye?! Your friend hit my friend! All you're going to do is ask her questions?!" I glare at the both of them.

I swear we have been arguing since we've been in a relationship together. "I was not talking to you, Hannah! I'm talking to Megan!" Hannah looks at me with wide eyes. I look back at Megan and she steps back, "She got me back for messing with Hazel."

"I want you to answer me truthfully. Have you been sending her threatening messages?" She slowly shakes her head, "No I haven't."

I grab Hannah hand and look back at Megan, "I'm only going to tell you this once. Next time Lily won't hold back, next time Shane won't be there in time to hold Lily back. Consider this as a warning." I walk away with Hannah's hand in mine.

"I really don't want you to hang with her anymore." She stops walking and scoffs, "She's the only one I'm cool with. Your friends hate me!" I turn around and look down at her, "They wouldn't hate you if you weren't so uptight with them."

I close my mouth quickly, "Hannah I didn't mean to say that." I try to reach out to her, but she steps away from me, "Since I'm so uptight, why do you date me?" Tears start forming in her eyes, "Hannah I didn't mean it, I'm sorry."

She walks off and leaves me in the hall by myself. I punch and kick the locker, "Ugh! Why is this even happening?!" I slide to the floor and run my fingers through my hair.

"What happen to you?" I look up and see Austin looking at me with an arched eyebrow. "This mess with Hannah and Megan. I want Hannah to have friends, but out of all people to be friends with, it's Megan. The girl that none of us gets along with, the girl who used to bully Quiet."

He sits down beside me, "Where's Hannah now?" I shrug my shoulders and look up at the ceiling, "I slipped up and called her uptight. She started crying and walked off somewhere." He lets out a soft laugh, "Did you even chase after her?"

I shake my head, "I'm going to let her cool down for a little bit." I look over at him and push him lightly on the shoulder, "What's up with you and that Matthew guy? Did you know that he thought I was going to bully him for being gay?!" He starts laughing, "At least he talked to you."

He stops laughing and stares blankly ahead, "What happen between you two? Did you do something?" He shakes his head and sighs, "It's not what I did it's what I saw."

I remember him saying that to Quiet earlier. "What did you see?" He shows me a small smile, "It's not my right to say anything about it. I don't want to talk about at all until I can talk to him." I nod my head in understanding.

"Why were you so shock that Hazel left school with someone else?" I look at him and shrug my shoulders, "I don't know, I thought something happened to her that's all."

I really need to go find Hannah before the day is over. First Quiet disappears and now Hannah is crying because of me. I really don't know what could happen to me now.

After Practice

After practice me and Shane head to the gym. "Shane why are rushing to get to the gym?" Shane is literally speed walking towards the gym, "So I can see Cupcake and fuss her out." I roll my eyes and follow after him.

As we walk in the gym we see the cheer team finishing up. "Cupcake!! Come here right now!!" Everybody look at me and Shane. Quiet lets out a soft scream and Lily glares at Shane, "Sit down and wait to talk to her!!"

Shane opens his mouth and then closes it, "Yes ma'am." I roll my eyes as we go sit on the bleachers. "I can't believe you coward from Lily." He looks at me with wide eyes, "Lily is a scary girl, I don't want to make her mad."

I let out a soft laugh and look over at Quiet. She shows me a small smile and wave. Behind the whole team, I see Owen in the corner.

I throw my head back and groan. Why is he even here? It's like he been around ever since him and Quiet met.

"Okay, everybody! Practice is now over!" Lily shouts out to the team. Quiet runs over to Owen and Shane gasp. "She goes to him before she comes to me?! I am hurt!" I shake my head and get up to go talk to Hannah.

"Leave me alone Ian, I don't want to talk to you right now." She starts putting her stuff in her bag, I put my hands on top of hers, "Well I want to talk about it."

She looks at me and scoffs, "Fine, I don't care." She sits down and I sit down beside her. "I'm sorry for calling you uptight, I was just mad that Megan tried to lie on Quiet." She lets out a long sigh, "I know you hate me being her friend, but she's the only one I'm cool with."

I look at her and put my arms around her shoulders, "I understand that. You don't have to stop hanging with her." I kiss her on the forehead and she laughs, "I'm glad we talked about it." I kiss her on the lips next, "Me too. I can't wait for you to cheer for me at the game and at my fight."

We stand up hand in hand and walk towards everybody else. "Why didn't you tell us you were skipping?" Shane is standing up in front of Quiet as she is putting her stuff up, "Owen called me out of nowhere and asked me. It was last minute and plus we wanted it to be just us. I still love you, Shane."

Owen starts laughing, "I'm sorry, I thought she would invite y'all, but she just wanted it to be us." Lily looks at Owen and smile, "Don't mind Shane he's just jealous that Hazel went with you. I mean who wouldn't, you're cute."

Shane glares at Lily and she throws her hands up in surrender, "You're cute to honey bun." She throws her arms around Shane's neck. I look at Owen and he is smiling down at Quiet.

"Owen do you want to sleep over after the football game?"
