Matthew POV

"What the hell is your problem?!" I shout out at Austin, "What do you mean what's my problem?! You're the one dancing with some other dude!" I roll my eyes, "I said I wanted to dance but you didn't want to!"

Me and Austin are at Ian new club we decide to come out and have fun together, but it's not going so well. After an hour of just sitting down and drinking, I asked Austin to dance with me. He told me no so I go to the dance floor myself and start dancing with some guy.

Yes, his front was on my back, but I wasn't doing it to make Austin jealous.

"So you dance with some other guy?! He was all up on you!" I scoff as I walk back to our table, "Of course he's going to be all up on me!! We're not in middle school dancing two feet apart from each other!!" I sit down and he sits down across from me.

"I'm getting a drink and going back dancing. Don't scare off the next guy I dance with." Someone brings me a drink and I drink it all in one gulp. I stand up and head to the dance floor, "Why are you doing this?! Just sit down with me?!"

I look back at Austin, "That's boring, I rather dance." It's not like I'm cheating on him or anything. I start dancing by myself. A few minutes later a man walks up to me, "Do you want to dance?" I show him a smile and nod my head, "Hopefully you won't get scared off."

We start dancing without a care in the world. I look over at our table and see Austin glaring at me. I roll my eyes and look away from him.

"Is that your boyfriend over there?" I look at the man and nod my head, "Yeah he is." He points at Austin, "He's kissing some girl right now." I quickly turn to look at Austin and see him kissing some girl.

I walk up to him quickly and he pushes the girl off of him. He doesn't see me, "I told you I'm not interested! I already have somebody, now please leave me alone before he sees you near me." I smile at the scene in front of me. I decide that I'm going to play mad to see his reaction.

"Austin what the hell?! You're that mad that you're kissing some girl?!" Austin's eyes widen, he stands up quickly. "I swear she kissed me, I did not kiss back! I pushed her away I promise!" I walk off towards the bathroom and he follows me. He grabs me by my arm and turns me around to face him.

"I didn't kiss back! You know I would never do anything like that!" I lean against the wall and look at him, "You've been glaring at me all night just because I didn't sit and drink with you." I bite my lip to keep myself from smiling, "Ugh! Stop biting your lip, this is a serious moment right now."

I forgot he thinks it's attractive when I bite my lip, "You can if you want to. Or do you want to go back and kiss that girl?" He grabs me by my neck and crashes his lips to mine. He shoves his tongue in my mouth and wrapped it around mine.

He pulls away and I pout, "I would rather kiss you over anybody." I finally let out my laugh and hug him, "I saw you reject her, I just wanted to mess with you." He lets out a relieved sigh, "Can we go home and watch a movie instead?" I laugh at his question and he bends down and kisses me on the lips.

"Yeah, we can. Next time we come here, it has to be with everybody else."

Hazel POV

It is the first day that I have taken Aaron under my care. "Aaron, get dress, we have to go register you in school." Aaron comes in my room fully dress with a Nike hat in his hand. "Are you wearing a hat?"

I look at him and he nods his head, "Yes I'm wearing a hat." I walk up to him and fix his hair. I put the hat on for him and smile.

The day I signed the papers I found out that Aaron mom was a black woman and his dad is a white man. I haven't decided if he should cut his hair or grow it out. Just like me he also has hazel eyes.

I put my shoes on and then my hat. "Alright let's go, we have to meet with the principal soon, I don't want to be late." I grab my keys and we head out to my car.

It takes me fifteen minutes to get to the school, "Imagine you taking the bus, that's going to be fifteen minutes plus the other stops it takes." We walk into the school and we walk in the office. "Hi, what can I help you with?"

I smile at the lady at the front desk, "I'm here to see the principal, I have a meeting with him." She nods her head and goes to get the principal. We sit down and wait, "Ma, can I get a puppy?" I look at Aaron and let out a soft laugh, "A puppy? Where did that come from?"

He shrugs his shoulders and smile, "I just want something to keep me company." Before I could say anything the principal walks in. "Hi, you must be Ms.Miles and you must be Aaron. I'm Mr.Vent, the principal. Just follow me into my office and we can talk."

We go to his office and sit down. He looks at me and smiles, "How old are you, Aaron?" I look at Aaron to see if he's looking at Principal Vent in the eyes. "I'm nine years old." He answers with his head held up high.

I thought he would talk with his head down for a while, but he's actually talking with his head held up. "I already put all of the information that you sent me in the system. I just need you to tell me if the address is right and then we can go look at our fifth-grade classes." He turns his computer around and I look over the information.

"Is he a car rider or a bus rider?" I can drop him off in the morning without worrying about being late for work, "He'll be a car rider in the morning and a bus rider in the afternoon." He finishes typing on his computer and we go to see the classes.

We walk in the first classroom and see an old man teaching. All of the students are taking notes and paying attention to the teacher. The second and third classrooms were also old teachers, you can tell by looking at the class that they have a lot of fun with their teacher.

As we're about to go in the fourth and last class Principal Vent looks at me, "This teacher is a little different. His class is never quiet, they're always doing something new." I let out a soft laugh as he opens the door. We walk in and see the kids playing a spelling game.

I look at the teacher and see a man around my age. He has brown skin with a shortcut. We walk in and he looks our way, "Mommy! Mommy! I want him as my teacher!" I look at Aaron and laugh. The teacher walks up to us, "I'm this class teacher, Mr.Wood." He holds out his hand for me to shake, "I'm Hazel and this is my son Aaron. Do you have room for one more kid?"

He chuckles and looks down at Aaron, "Yes I do, I can't wait to see you in my class." Aaron smiles at him and walks off towards the class. "Wait, Aaron, you can't go over there!"

"It's okay, he can go ahead and meet them." I look at Mr.Wood with a nervous look, "I'm sorry, he just got so excited the minute he saw your class." He lets out a soft laugh, "Well I'm glad I got that kind of reaction out of him." I look over at Aaron and see he is surrounded by a group of boys and girls, "Don't tell me he's going to be a popular kid." I say with my face in my hands.

Mr.Wood laughs, "There's nothing wrong with that, that means he doesn't have a problem meeting new people." I look at the time, "Mr.Wood, thank you for letting Aaron in your class, we'll see you soon."

He shakes my hand and smile, "You can call me Tyriek and I can't wait to see Aaron." I let go of his hand, "Aaron lets go." Aaron walks away from his little group, "When do I come back?" He hugs me and I laugh, "You come back Monday."

We leave the classroom and head to the cafeteria. I look at Principal Vent, "Give me your honest answer. How good is the cafeteria food?" He starts laughing as he hands me a cafeteria menu, "It's actually good, I actually eat it whenever I don't bring my own food."

"I'm sorry if they came off rude, I just had to ask because some school food be nasty." He continues to laugh and smile, "That's understandable, we serve good and healthy food. We also have a nice library with a good selection of books."

He continues to give us a tour of Aaron new school. Thirty minutes later we are back at the front of the school. "It was nice meeting you, Aaron will be here Monday to start his first day." I shake his hand one last time and Aaron waves at him.

I head to the car and I look at Aaron and see him holding his arm. "Aaron, did you forget to take your pain medicine?" He nods his head and I sigh, "Let me see if I have some in my purse, if I don't you will have to deal with the pain until we get home."

I dig through my purse and luckily I find some medicine. I break the pill in half and hand him a bottle of water, "Drink some water along with the pill and swallow it." He does what I say without choking on the pill.

"I like the pill better than the liquid." I laugh at his statement and drive off towards Shane and Lily house. "Two of my friends want to meet you. We're going to stop by their house for a little visit." I look in the rear view mirror and see him nod his head, "Okay. What are we eating for lunch?"

"We can stop at the next restaurant we see."
