"Y/N-chan! We're here for you!" Akane waved at you with her usual cheerfulness. Chiyo who was standing beside her at the doorway of your classroom, seems to be embarrassed by how loud her friend was. But her expression softened when you met her gaze.
You didn't know that the girls who befriended you from the play, were oddly fond of you. For them, you were like a shy little girl that they want to take care of.
The atmosphere around you screams loneliness when they first saw you. They all decided unconsciously not to bother you seems you emitted the feeling of not wanting to be talked to and they thought you were like the some girls that pretended to be all soft and innocent. It's not like you were not like the other girls, it's just that you were indifferent. Didn't want to make connections at the risk of being hurt and getting abandoned.
Well, that wall broke down when the clueless Akane reached out to you all of a sudden. It's also because you were unconsciously craving to have friends, that's why you let down your guard so easily. After all, until now, it's just Kentaro who always stayed by your side.
However, you didn't want to put more burden on him anymore. And you were graduating, and soon, you'll be an adult. It's not like you can rely on him forever. He has a life too.
That's majority the reason why you decided take this opportunity and form connections with the girls. But you're not ready to face guys yet. It's not like you entirely hate them, you just avoid them because you're scared.
"Y/N-chan!" Akane's bubbly voice was so loud that even your classmates started glancing at her. This deepened Chiyo's frown.
You were also nervous because it was you, who Akane was calling, but it was also lifted your spirits. It was nice to be greeted enthusiastically and the corners of your mouth slightly turned up.
Movements stiff and awkward, you stride towards your new friends while carrying your bag. Rina snickered at you and acted like she was whispering about you looking like robotic shy loner, to her seatmate even though her voice was really loud. The person rolled their eyes and ignored her.
You were way too nervous to notice, though it seems that Akane and Chiyo did because they glared in unison towards Rina's direction.
"Hey guys! You're no fair! We were just about to get Y/N-chan and you're here first!" Momo, one of the girls you acquainted with, popped behind Akane and Chiyo with the others.
Another girl that was much shorter than you, Hikari, ran and hugged you tightly. You were stunned at her action but her bright smile brushed away your feeling of awkwardness.
"Ah! Hikari! How unfair! I wanna hug Y/N-chan too!" Akane whined and you laughed light-heartedly. Your classmates who had never seen you smile even for once, was bewildered.
She's so pretty, they all thought.
You didn't even noticed that you were smiling right now, and it's because you were secretly looking forward to hanging out with them.
"Guys, you're making a commotion. Let's go now." Chiyo reprimanded Hikari and Akane who were fighting and finally pulled Akane by her collar. Momo put her arm around your shoulder while you were walking while asking trivial questions.
They even mentioned how surprised they were about your gentle demeanor and talked about not giving care about boys who are scums. Most of them are single and encouraged you to just ask them if you're having problems about your love life.
But they were more shocked when you told them that you never even had a single crush ever since, and it's more impossible for a boyfriend.
You've been busy avoiding guys since you were aware of what happened to you, unless they're younger and shorter.
Though you're comfortable around the girls, you weren't sure wether it's necessary to tell them about things that you're scared to say. Actually, you're still a bit reluctant deep down because you think that your relationship might be temporary only.
Once again, you convinced yourself that it's fine, you're just getting along with them to gain experience. Thinking like this seemed heartless, but you're afraid to form conclusions only to be wrong. You actually won't say that you're friends with them until they say it first, so you'll avoid assuming.
"Y/N-chan? Are you okay?" Hikari asked with a worried expression, interrupting your train of thoughts.
You gave her a faint smile before saying that you were fine. As all of you passed by the indoor court, the sound of balls bouncing and shoes gliding across the wooden floor got louder and louder.
Your eyes unconsciously shot towards the widely opened gym doors and coincidentally, the captain of the volleyball set to his friend elegantly. It was so cool that you inhaled sharply. Moreover, Oikawa's serious self when playing was eye-catching.
Your feet stopped moving and at the same time, Oikawa's captivating gaze caught yours while a gentle breeze flowed through your hair. In an instant there was an unexplainable connection between the two of you and the surrounding seemed like a slow motion. For the other, it was unfamiliar, but that was not the case for the other.
However, when Oikawa realized that he was not imagining the scenario and his eyes widened, the delicate and strange connection broke. You were also pulled by Hikari and Akane who was clueless that you had experienced something weird.
Though the previous scene seemed long, it was actually just a couple of seconds.
On the way to Chiyo's house, you were dazed and your mind felt like it was floating. It's the first time you had an eye to eye contact that ached your heart momentarily.
However, you brushed the thoughts away when you got flustered that you were thinking of him. It felt ridiculous. The inexplicability made your heart swell and it weirded you out. But the scene keeps flashing in your mind, and every time it did, you felt like something was stirring inside.
You scolded yourself internally when the thought of wanting to see him again entered your mind. You actually forgot that you were avoiding men for a brief moment.
"We're here! Welcome!" Akane beamed as she twirled behind Chiyo who was currently unlocking the door.
"Don't act like it's your house, Bakane." Chiyo's words contradicted her tone that sounded like she too, was ecstatic.
Eight girls in total, ascended the stairs to Chiyo's room in Akane's lead. The former's house was quite spacious, so you didn't have a problem fitting in a single room.
Chiyo was preparing for snacks and drinks in her kitchen with her mother who also greeted all of you happily. Although most of the girls you were with were seen problematic to some people, they were behaved and respected Chiyo's privacy by not touching any of her personal belongings nor opening cabinets and drawers. They were loud and chatty, but that's all.
The scene was heartwarming to be honest. Everyone was gushing about fairytales, princes and princesses, their ideal types etc. Some were hilariously unrealistic so everyone was laughing the whole time.
Then when the movie started, something about it screamed nostalgia. The art style and the music was so beautiful that almost each frame looked like it was painting. It fascinated you, who has never seen a single disney princess movie.
The three fairies; Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, was so adorably funny that your lips turned up almost every time they popped in the screen. You were also giggling from the two King's conversation and the Prince's horse.
You were so invested that you didn't notice that when the movie was just minutes from starting, the girls were giggling at your reactions and gossiping about your baby self since the movie showed (not really) a baby Princess Aurora from the start.
But soon they were all quiet too. Especially when the scene that Aurora and Prince Phillip first met. They who danced like nothing else mattered while carefully staring at each other was a very romantic scene. It was indeed unrealistic for two strangers who met in a forest to dance like they were made for each other, but it was still magical and something that gives you high standards.
While they were dancing, Oikawa once again popped in your mind. Then realization hits you. The fact that you might have to try and get close to a boy gave you anxiety. You do want to try it, but something still bothered you.
However, you actually forgot it so fast. Specifically, when the movie starts emphasizing that Aurora and Prince Phillip who only met once was in love with each other.
Your face crumpled as it puzzled you so much.
Is that how people get together? Is that why they get it wrong? You asked yourself when Peachy and Kentaro's mother entered your mind. Peachy regretted being with a rapist, and Kentaro's mother ended up as a single mother when Kentaro's father looked for another woman.
So when the movie showed the ending where Aurora woke up and was dancing with Prince Phillip, you unconsciously asked, "How did they fell in love so fast?"
You only noticed when some of the girls started laughing.
"I know right? Now that I've seen it again for the first time since I was young, it really is ridiculous!" Riko laughed out loud while holding her stomach.
"It's called 'love at first sight'! Duh!" Mayu rolled her eyes at Riko while pouting her lips so it looked like she was sulking. She did mention earlier that it was her favorite disney princess movie.
"Mayu, don't get mad. It is pretty unrealistic." Ritsu forced a smile to try and comfort Mayu who was shooting daggers with her eyes to Riko and Akane who was rolling on the floor.
"'Love at first sight'? How does that happen?" You asked and there was eagerness trailing in your tone, even though you tried to control your expression.
"It's when you see someone for the first time, but felt like you've known that person or you're meant to know them." Chiyo explained with a poker face as she put the CD back in its case.
"Or there's an unexplainable feeling inside of you the moment you first saw them. At least that's what I read from people sharing their experience." Hikari added to Chiyo's short explanation.
"No way! That really happens?" Riko displayed a baffled expression.
"Yes, some people actually calls it 'attraction'. But sometimes, it only happens to one person, different from their partners. I think it's rare to happen for both." Momo casually said while eating snacks and looking at you.
For a moment, you were nervous since you actually just experienced an inexplicable moment. But you convinced yourself that you were just caught off guard by Oikawa's image and it was not love at first sight since it was not the first time you saw him.
However, you didn't take into account that those strange connections were still a part of love even if it's not at first sight.

Author's Note:
I'm sorry guys to give you an update after a long time, only to be a filler! I just want this chapter to emphasize your character more and the people around "you".
Don't worry, though. I'll diligently update from now on. I was just lacking motivation these past few days.
And I'm actually still not over from Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. It's a BL novel, so if you read one, I highly recommend it! It's so good that it is easily one of my favorites!
Anyway, that's all thank youu!❤️
UNEDITED
Ps. I was actually gonna update yesterday, but there were two flying cockroaches that popped out and I said goodbye to my room temporarily, with my phone on my bed (the demons were very close to my sanctuary) . Cockroaches are demons.
