The Black And White In Our Gray

"Hey, can I capture you?" The entity says softly, gripping the camera gently.

"Okay.." I replied in confusion, and in an instant, I was trapped in his grasp. It was a trick question, the question is supposed to be "can I take a picture of you?" not "can I capture you?" And now I bear the consequences of being his possession.


"Can I keep the picture?" The human asked with such delight

"Yes.." I replied, letting him go even though that picture was meant to imprison him in my hands, I let him freely go, and he doesn't even know.


The entity was interested in the human, the human grew fond of the entity, the entity enjoyed the human, the human liked the entity, the entity loved the human. In the end, it was all taboo. Amidst it all, the human wasn't the one who rejected the entity, it wasn't the entity who rejected the human either, it was both their worlds that did.


Some times were white, some times were black. Some allies were white, some enemies were black. Some feelings are white, some are black. The world is black, but the ones living in it is white. In the bad things and the good things, in the black and in the white, ours is neither, because ours were gray. Because we didn't just accept the white, and we didn't just despise the black in us, we accepted both, creating a Gray.. In us.
