Lady of Power
Réalta a dormant Faerie in the kingdom of Norgaard where magic Once flourished is raised by her guardians after her parents perish iN the war grows up knowing she is Faerie. But her body is stubbornly human and so she cannot claim the immortal blood of her kinfolk the Aershien. However she does possess the magic that is dying in Norgaard. The king seeing the magic in his kingdom dying requests her as his queen. Raised in the Wilds of the Dorthogg forest on the border between the kingdom and the Aershien kingdom of Marthloun she knows little of the courts and their splendor. She knows only of the freedom of the forest and the turning of the seasons. But as a distant relative of the king and last link to the Thorden line she is the kingdom's only hope of seeing the magic from dying in Norgaard all together. Torn apart by her longing for her forests and her noble desire to help the kingdom as her parents once had she agrees. It is only when she fully embraces her calling that the true essence of Réalta is revealed. Not only is she a Faerie but an Ilindé, a full blooded noble Faerie. It is then apparent that this power finally unleashed must be trained for she has power and magic but her newly awakened Fae blood unleashes more power and can't control it. The king seeing no other way sends for a noble of the Aershien Fae to tutor her in her gifts of Fae. Who arrives is no other than Prince Arlond, a dashing handsome Faerie who understands her grief and her need to be free as all Faeries need to be. He sees her as a trapped animal in a cage of stuffy court etiquette and manners. Worse yet the king is dying and he has no heirs to fulfill the Thorden line. The kingdom is thrown into turmoil for all know that the Faeries who once bred with the humans to create Eunié have fled into their own kingdom during the wars. Réalta must chose to stay and help her people or go into the realm of Aershien where she won't know if she will be received by the people.…
