Theft. Murder. Revenge. Philip Courtenay's life is pretty full. He's retired from piracy and makes his dishonest living through various schemes across england, always staying in King Richard II's good graces of course. King Richard is the son of his old friend so he's naturally protective of the teenage monarch, but now he has a new wife to romance, and his usual schemes to keep going. Trouble is brewing in Parliament, but that's typical. Philip stays solidly on the grey side of the law as it is, and he's gotten good at protecting himself, though suddenly he finds he also has a young king, and a family to protect.
