Reign Hale grew up with an abusive father. Day by day her father only gambled and got into debts. To get rid of his problems he makes a deal with a man to get rid of his debts; however, he didn't know that man was in fact the mafia leader.

Matteo Salvatore is the heir to the most powerful mafia, the Italian mafia. When his father makes him marry a young woman his whole world gets flipped around. He hates her -or so he thinks- but the more time he spends with her the more feelings he develops.

They both make a promise not to fall in love but promises are meant to be broken, aren't they?

She turns to face me so we're opposite of each other. "One promise," she breathes out. "One promise," I repeat with a small smirk.

"I'll never fall in love with Matteo something Salvatore," she says confidently. I feel my heart beat heavier than before. It almost hurts. Almost. "I'll never fall in love with Reign Mia Hale." Her name rolls off my tongue with ease.

She sticks out her pinky as I stare at her blankly. She nods her head telling me to do it and I shake my head telling her fuck no. If looks could kill, I would be dead with a million daggers stabbed into my body.
