Hello, just a reminder I write these past 2-3am and without wearing my glasses so ignoring my mistakes is much appreciated. Honestly I'm just really happy that people are still reading this even though I don't really know where the plot is going. But I'm definitely finishing it. Also thanks for the people who vote, comment, and even read. You guys are the best. ALSO THIS CHAPTER IS TWICE THE SIZE.

It was sunny. Scorching even. I could feel myself getting tanner by the second (something Rue would never be able to. That girl is so white you can't bake her to color). I thought the sun wasn't gonna set by how bright it was.

I was happy. Mom was happy. Dad was happy.

We were sitting on a blanket in the park, my parents had an assortment of food. nothing fancy but delicious nonetheless.

Dad let me run around and play at the playground area. He was a really nice father. I liked him. While mom was always a "no" person, he was a "yes". It was a miracle when mom agreed on something.

The sun faded suddenly. It was almost gone and everything darkened a notch. It wasn't even close to sundown. It was still noon. Out of nowhere, the sky flashes, followed by an extremely loud thunder. It made me jump. It felt so close and scary. I hated thunder and it only made me hate it more.

It started raining heavily and I could barely see. I heard my dad yelling my name but I wasn't able to tell where the voice was coming from. It was deep and far.

"Evan"... "Evan"

"Dad!"... "Dad where are you?"

"Dad!"... "Dad!".... "Dad?".."Zac?"

"Oh thank God" Zac sighed in relief and hugged me to his chest. I didn't realize that we were on the ground at first.

"What happened? Are we dead already?" I spoke into his chest. I didn't know if what I said was discernable or not.

"We're not dead but you almost were" Zac was... Crying?

I untangled myself from his arms and looked him in the face. His eyes were teary and a little red and his face was a faint yellow.

"You're crying. Why?"

"In case you haven't noticed, we're on the ground and you almost died" The last thing I remember was seeing bright car headlights coming at us and I was immensely scared and I didn't know what to do and it's all black after that.

"You fainted after I dodged the moron with the driving skills of a drunk octopus. And I barely managed to pull over while keeping hold of you so you don't fall onto the street" I did? Wow.

"I'm sorry I didn't intend to-"

"It's alright. You're okay and that's what matters" he hugged me back to his chest and passes his hand through my hair.

On the other side of the street there was a diner. I felt hungry just looking at the sign. And fainting makes you starve.

"Can we grab a bite before we go? I'm really hungry"

"I'm thinking about you and you're thinking about food?" Zac joked.

"You're so corny" I said. And then realized. "That actually makes much more sense now"

"What does?"

"You won't get it so forget it"

He smiled. "Weirdo. Come on, let's eat" he said picking me up as he stood. We dusted off our clothes and walked the small distance to the diner.

Zac parked his bike in the small parking lot while I went ahead inside. I quickly found an empty table and claimed it. Zac shortly followed and sat in front of me. He took my hand from under the table and kept it with his. He wasn't ashamed of holding my hand or anything but it was easier to grab it from under the table than the top.

There were already two menus on the table. Zac decided to order a burger while I wanted a burger with corn in it. Zac gave me a really weird look.

"What? I like corn in my burgers don't judge"

The menu was really interesting. I was too busy browsing it to look up at the waiter.

Zac told them his order, and he told them to get me one with corn.

"Of course" the waiter spoke. Familiar voice. "Who else would order a burger with sweet corn"

I looked up. It was him. The same guy from Betsy's. But I couldn't remember his name. Thankfully he was wearing a name tag, and the same costume (?). Why did I remember the name of a fricking diner and not the name of the hot guy. I'm terrible.

"Leon? Didn't you work at Betsy's?" It wasn't Leon who spoke next, it was Zac.

"Uh Evan, This is a Betsy's. They're everywhere" Zac cleared.

I didn't even see the sign of the diner but I knew that it looked familiar. They had the same red leather booths near the walls and the same tables scattered around.

"Yeah I figured" I told Zac, then I turned to Leon, "But are you everywhere?"

He laughed a little. "I wish, that would've made my life so much easier. But no, I transferred to Rivertown college-" of fucking course it's called Rivertown college "And thus I'm working at this town's Betsy's because mom owns the chain"

Zac was equally dumbstruck.

"Your mom is Betsy?" I stupidly asked which made him laugh again.

"No of course not. Betsy is my avó." When he saw us both confused, he explained that it's 'grandma' in Portuguese, where he actually is from. It explained a lot.

He didn't look American. He didn't speak like one either. He looked different. A good different. A hot different to be honest.

"You learn something new everyday" Zac said and fished out his phone to check if he's got any messages. I didn't bother because if Zac hadn't texted me then there was nothing. And Zac was right in front of me so I had the real deal.

Zac

This "Leon" was looking at Evan like he's the last water drop in the desert, and from the looks of it, he was really thirsty. I took out my phone and pretended to check it casually, but I was just scrolling through my apps. If I didn't do anything I would've probably embarrassed myself with jealous actions.

Yes I was jealous. Do I care? No. Evan was kinda mine, yet kinda not. But I wanted him, more than anything I've ever wanted. And I didn't want to mess around like I used to do before. I wanted him to be mine, and I was more than okay being his. He could rip me apart and I wouldn't care. Well he was ripping me apart a little with the way he was looking at Leon like he was some Greek God. He wasn't. He was ugly. Well he wasn't ugly he was hot but I would never admit that.

When he was gone, I quickly took Evan's hand in mine again, above the table this time.

Evan

"One burger for you" Leon placed Zac's tray in front of him, "And one cornburger for you" he almost dropped it because of how hard he laughed. "I'm sorry but this is never gonna be not weird".

I wanted to ask him why is he working as a waiter while his mom owned the restaurant chain but he was already gone, and I would probably forget by the time he comes back again.

We finished quicker than I thought we would. Leon didn't let us pay, and insisted on it being his treat. Zac didn't seem to be happy about it for some reason.

Thankfully we didn't die on our way to his house. Before we knew it, we were on his front porch being greeted by his grandparents. They were both sitting in rocking chairs talking and laughing. I envied a little. How nice would it be to grow old with someone?

"It's really nice. The best thing in the world" His grandfather said. My jaw dropped. How did he hear my thoughts?

"Did I-"

"Yes, you asked out loud asshat" Zac flicked my nose.

"You're spending way too much time with Rue" I sneezed. Damn you sensitive nose.

Zac ushered me to his room, which was at the far left of the hallway. It wasn't that big of a room and it was poorly decorated. It basically had nothing on the walls nor on the shelves. As if it was recently inhabited. The furniture looked a bit old too.

He tossed his bag on the floor, along with his shirt.

"I'm gonna take a quick shower because unlike you, some of us actually take P.E." he took out a towel and went to the door on the other side of the room. "Fire up the computer, I won't take long"

The computer was on a desk right next to the same door he went through, which is the bathroom apparently. I turned it on and waited for it to boot. In the meantime I took out my history book and the notebook, and placed them neatly on the bed because the computer occupied most of the desk.

Thankfully Zac had a printer so we didn't have to go somewhere else to print it. Or worse, write it.

I went ahead on researching our topics. I could hear the water hitting the floor, and Zac's faint singing. Was I tempted to go in there? Probably. Would he call the cops for sexual harassment? Definitely.

I moved to the bed and started rereading my notes. Less than a minute and the water stopped. After a few, the door clicked open.

"I found a page that seems really hel-" I said turning around to Zac.

I think I swallowed my tongue a bit. The sight in front of me was marvelous. He had a towel wrapped around his waist. And that's all. Just a towel. His body looked-how the fuck can someone his age have so much muscle definition? His whole body was toned. It looked like it was chiseled by Greek Gods. And they did well. They took all the time they needed on this fine piece of male.

I quickly turned back to my book.

"I-I-Uhm yeah so that page I found it was yeah. Good."

"It's only weird if you make it weird" Zac said and went to his dresser.

He groaned and pulled and almost knocked the dresser to the floor.

He was crouched next to it and I did not wanna think about him in that position not to mention see him. But he left so little to the imagination.

"Can you help me out. This thing is old and sometimes it gets stuck"

"Oh-Okay" I stuttered and grabbed the other handle of the drawer.

"we'll pull together at three alright?" I nodded.

"one, two, three pull!" we pulled too forcefully and we ended up on our backs. Both of us were laughing and God his whole face lit up when he laughed. The dull robotic Zac wasn't there anymore since we left school. I was glad that a part of him was back to normal.

"I like your lips" Zac whispered and wasn't reluctant to kiss me. It was full of lust and want. I could feel how much he wanted me, but little did he know that I was all his from the start.

<><<<><><<<<
I ended up needing a change of clothes. Why you may ask? Well I didn't exactly know what happened but Zac's towel was no longer on his waist. Actually not even in the room I don't know where he threw it. He rubbed himself against me for more than he could take and ended up spilling all over my pants and my naked torso. It was so hot so in turn I spilled in my underwear. It was really embarrassing for both of us but we acted as if it's the most normal thing ever.

Zac gave me a towel, by which now I can't look at towels the same way ever again, a pair of gray sweatpants, and a blue hoodie. I took a quick shower and put them on. The sweatpants fit snuggly but the hoodie was a little baggy. But that's the point of hoodies right?

We actually managed to get some work done. Actually we actually managed to actually finish the paper. Halfway through our work process his grandma slipped us sandwiches. Thankfully it was halfway through school work and not the other erm you know, the other kind of work.

Zac offered to drive me home, but mom had already told me that she's giving me a ride.

I said goodbye to Zac and his grandparents. Weirdly enough, I didn't see his mom or his dad. And he never mentioned them.

Also something else I've noticed, Zac's head hurts him a lot. He went through 3 cups of coffee in around four hours.

I couldn't do anything about it but be empathetic and try to feel his pain as much as I could.

<><><><><><>

I was waiting for my mom on the sidewalk of the main road. See the thing in this town, there's a main road that goes through all of it from North to South, and there are side streets that lead you to houses.

I'm glad it didn't take her long to arrive. It was really cold and I was very thankful for the hoodie I was wearing.

I swiftly climbed into the passenger seat and slammed the door shut. The car was warm inside.

"Took you long enough" I joked seriously. If that's possible.

"Oh shut up" mom bickered. "Wait a second" she said eyeing me carefully. "Weren't you wearing yellow when you left?"

Shit. Shit. Shit.

"Um no mom. I was wearing blue, duh"

"Really? I'm pretty sure you were wearing yellow"

"Uh no. You're getting pretty old mom" I averted her piercing gaze.

"Yeah. Sure. Okay I believe it. Old. Mhm." she kept saying stuff like that for a solid ten minutes no joke. But I didn't crack.

"Are you ready for Monday?" I forgot what's on Monday.

"What's happening Monday again?"

"Dios mío Evan! Isaac's coming"

"What the fuck since when you speak Spanish?"

"Oh I don't. I heard this on TV and I thought I should use it more often it's nice."

"I swear to God you're the weirdest mom ever"

"I'm glad we've had this conversation" she said as she pulled over in the driveway. Liam's car wasn't there so I assumed he's still at the hospital.

"I'm going to sleep. Wake me up Monday" I yawned and went upstairs directly.

"Don't you wanna eat?"

"I ate at Zac's" I yelled from the top of the stairs.

"Ate at Zac's or ate Zac's?" oh God.

"Mom what the fuck!" she just laughed a crazy laugh and her voice faded.

I crashed into bed instantly. I hugged my blanket and fell asleep.
<><><><>

The loudest thunder clap woke me up scared as fuck. I almost ripped my blanket by how much I tugged at it. It made me feel pathetic but, fear is more prioritized than pity.

I didn't know what to do, and thunder was growing louder and more intense.

I grabbed my phone. It was 3:28am. I didn't realize I even dialed his number until his raspy voice was yelling "Evan" worryingly on the other side of the line.

"Evan is anything wrong are you okay?"

"I feel so stupid for calling you at this time of the night. This might sound pathetic-No, this will sound pathetic"

"Evan you're worrying me"

"Remember you once told me you owe me a favor?"

"Vaguely, but yeah I do" he yawned.

"Can you maybe like stay on the phone with me?" he started talking but I quickly cut him off "It's just that thunder and I don't get along well since I was little and I thought I would get over it when I'm older but it just seemed to worsen and now I can't sleep and I'm shaking all over."

"It's okay I'm here"..." well there but here as in on the phone".. "it's past 3 am don't judge" he muttered into the phone. My heartbeat was a little steadier knowing there was someone to talk to.

"Just try and sleep, and I'll be here" he comforted me. I placed my head on the pillow again after positioning the phone next to me.

My room was flashing with lightning every now and then.

I didn't know I fell asleep until another loud thunder woke me up terrified and screaming like I was fresh out of a nightmare.

"Shh It's okay. I'm here" I didn't know where the sound came from at first. It then downed on me that Zac was still on the phone with me. My insides awed and cooed at how sweet he was.

"You're still here" I stated more to myself than anything. I was reassuring myself. I felt selfish too do add that to the list of feelings I was having tonight.

"I'll always be here. I hope" I didn't like the way he said I hope. Not one bit.

<><><><><><>

"Evan!" mom yelled, again.

"What?!" I yelled back all the way from my room.

"Get down here. Liam and Isaac are about to be here any moment"

"I'm coming".

As if on cue, the door opened as I reached the stairs. It wasn't Liam who opened it. Nor Isaac.

"Evan?"

"Zac?"

"No. No this can't be" Zac muttered. I was confused. And slightly scared.

"This can't be what?" I questioned. The horror in his face told me everything I needed to know.

"YOU'RE ISAAC?" I roared at him.

Well shit. Let's face it y'all must've seen that coming. Stay tuned for more, hopefully the next 3 days.

Also guys it would be really great if you check out my other stories Roommates and Hold My Hand. They're really good I promise.
