5 years...

That's how much time it had been since you're in Japan. You've graduated, got a job, have a boyfriend and your mother.

Your mother loves your boyfriend just like her own son. You're currently living with your boyfriend, Aremi. Yes, the one from high school. Your love story was no different from others, you met online when you were in the second year of college, you talked with him, became friends, then had feelings for each other, parted away, then came back as a couple.

Aremi came back to Japan last year with his parents to practice. He is still a student, internship. He is practicing to become a  doctor, he always dreamt of it from the very beginning. You were very fond of him, you always found him different from others. You've been involved into several relationships since you came to Japan but none were as perfect as this one. The other relationships were like a give and exchange thing, they never had what you wanted and you never had what they wanted, some relationships were for money - status while others were because of reputation.

But, the relationship with Aremi is just... Perfect? No? He always knows how you feel and knows how to brighten up your day. He loves your mother as his own and his parents love you as their own child. He knows when you're comfortable and with what you're comfortable. He never throws his opinions at you and most importantly, he loves you genuinely.

Life is perfect, but still... A part of you is missing. You can't seem to figure out what. Your step family? No?

Like any normal day you came home and were greeted by your mother reading a book, you smiled slightly looking at the title of the genre your mother never reads about.

"The fault in our stars? Mom, I didn't know you liked these books" You smiled as you kept your handbag on the couch and sat on the opposite side of her. She looked up and smiled.

"No, no, A colleague of mine opened a new book shop, she insisted that she wants to gift me some books, I looked around and this was the only book which I liked the most, I thought that you like this genre too so you would read it after me." She paused looking at you. "Oh- Go and change Y/n, Aremi will be picking us up for dinner."

"Aremi is coming? When? He didn't tell me!" You whined as you got up.

"Stop acting like a kid honey, Go and get dressed he'll be here after an hour, oh, and yes his parents will be there too."

"Alright."

You walked towards your room and threw your bag on the fluffy bed bed and walked inside your small walk-in closet to choose a dress. You ended up choosing a very light blue dress which reached till your knee, not too simple nor too fancy.

Taking a very quick shower and drying your hair you put started getting dressed. You got ready just in time as you saw Aremi waiting in his car and your mother grabbing her purse.

"Mom, let's go."

You and your mother came out of the house locking the front door. After the greeting you sat beside Aremi and your mother sat at the back with his parents.

Reaching the open garden you smiled as the tables, chairs and food was all there, neatly arranged. You were having fun and were going to drink your glass of champagne when you notice sometime sparkly in your drink , you ignored it and were slowly chugging it when you coughed a ring out. All the attention was on you. You took the ring and looked at it, there was a moon with blue small sparkly things on them.

"D - Did you put this in the drink Aremi?" You said thinking he was going to propose you.

"No Y/n, I didn't put this in your drink."

You quietly kept the ring aside and continued with your delicious meal enjoying every bite.

Reaching home, you couldn't help but wonder who gave you the ring. You found it very familiar, like, you saw  is somewhere, you weren't sure of that but whatever it was ... It sure was familiar yet beautiful.
