T/W: Homophobic slur.

"He has cheerleading practice tonight." Arianna told Aidan encouragingly. "Go talk to him, show him that you aren't going to give up." Aidan smiled at her and gave her a friendly hug goodbye.

"Thank you." He whispered as he turned to walk away, only to turn back and call out to her again. "Arianna, can I ask you something?" She nodded as she stepped back towards him. "Why do you want to help me?" he asked curiously. Arianna thought about it for a moment, why exactly did she want to help him? Perhaps she herself didn't know.

"I don't know..." she started with a slightly dazed look about her. "I guess, I just trust you?" she said with a shrug. Aidan just smiled and gave her a final nod goodbye before Arianna called out to him one last time. "Get him an iced coffee from Starbucks, that should work." she yelled out as Aidan shot her a quizzical look.

"B-But isn't it too cold out for an iced coffee?" He said confusedly as she chuckled at his innocence.

"Doesn't matter! And don't forget to ask for one pump of French Vanilla!" Arianna flashed him a cheeky smile before getting into her car and driving away.

Aidan walked back to his car feeling as though he was ready to take on the world. He stopped dead in his tracks when he spotted a familiar face smiling sheepishly at him while leaning against the side of his car.

"Hey." Endri smiled nervously as Aidan approached him.

"Whats up?" Aidan said coldly, still a bit upset at Endri for not understanding his feelings. But then again, how could he expect Endri to understand his feelings when Aidan himself didn't fully understand them.

"I-I just wanted to say sorry." Endri lowered his gaze down tho his shoes as he shuffled from side to side awkwardly. "I didn't know how serious you were about that guy. I guess, I've only ever really seen you with girls so I thought maybe he was just a phase or you experimenting with your sexuality."

"It's okay." Aidan said blankly with a nod, flashing Endri a tight lipped half smile.

"Do you want to hang out, maybe?" Endri asked hopefully, as Aidan's icy treatment towards him finally thawed out, revealing a slight smile that crept gradually across his face.

Endri and Aidan had been best friends since they were kids, they had the same interests, were in most of the same classes, and not to mention lived down the street from each other. This made them virtually inseparable. Not to say that they hadn't had their share of quarrels and disagreements in the past, but usually none of them lasted more than a day; this quarrel being no exception.

"So she didn't tell you his name?" Endri said with a cocked eyebrow as he flung himself onto Aidan's bed.

"No, she didn't" Aidan replied calmly, "But she said she'd help me out." he continued as Endri's expression remained utterly perplexed.

"Have you met him before?" Endri blurted out suddenly, as he narrowed his gaze at Aidan's face.

"I mean obviously, we had sex." Said Aidan with a confused smirk, perplexed by Endri's seemingly dumb question.

"No, no. I mean like had you met him before that night?" Endri repeated himself, still carefully scanning Aidan's face.

"What do you mean?" Aidan asked, thoroughly confused at the strange round of interrogation coming from Endri.

"No like, I just mean, doesn't he seem a bit? Familiar?" Endri stared him down blatantly, as though expecting a certain answer.

"Not really..." Aidan said with a cocked eyebrow and a tinge of irritation in his voice.

"So you seriously are telling me you've never spoken to him!? Never met him or interacted with him in any way?!" Endri exclaimed, matching Aidan's aggravated tone.

"No! I don't remember meeting him at all! Why do you keep asking?!" Aidan finally snapped at Endri.

"No reason, it's whatever." Endri retracted suddenly, lowering his gaze back down to the floor. "So. What are you planning on doing?" he recovered, quickly changing the subject.

"I was thinking.. Wait, shit..." Aidan drawled before looking at the time on his phone. "I should go, I'll fill you in later."

"Oh... um okay... bye...?" Endri blinked in a daze as he watched his friend hastily put on his jacket and comb his fingers haphazardly through his effortlessly messy blond hair.

"Bye!" Aidan replied with a wide grin before bolting out of his bedroom door, bounding down the stairs and out the front door.

Aidan pulled into one the senior parking lot at Crenshaw High, glancing around for the car that Arianna described to be her cousin's. Then he saw it a few yards ahead, a white BMW sedan with rosary beads hanging off the rearview mirror.

Aidan pulled into the parking spot next to the car and took a deep breath, mentally preparing himself. He got the iced coffees from Starbucks and he was there; all he had to do now was wait patiently for him to come.

Aidan glanced down at himself, quickly realizing that he was wearing his red and white varsity jacket. As if he already wasn't recognizable as Hilldale's star quarterback, the jacket would almost certainly give him away. He peeled his jacket off and threw it in the backseat of his car before haphazardly pushing his blonde hair back on top of his head.

He got out of his car and heard distant chattering coming from a ways away. Following the sounds he found himself standing behind the fenced in enclosure of  Crenshaw high's football stadium. And that's when he finally saw him.

He looked like the epitome of perfection. Wearing a form fitting blue and white cheerleading uniform that clearly showcased his toned muscular arms, narrow waist, and athletic legs. Aidan watched him through the gaps of the enclosure as the boy flipped and cartwheeled across the track along with the other girls. Aidan smirked to himself every time the boy raised his arms or did a flip; watching as the slightly cropped cheerleading top rode up, showing off his perfectly defined abs for everyone to see.

Aidan couldn't take his eyes off him, amazed at how agile and flexible the boy was, though he was already well aware of that. He seemed so happy, so carefree, so different from what Aidan had seen in his few interactions with him since that night. It was refreshing to see him so comfortable in his own natural habitat.

He seemed to be laughing and joking with the other girls on the team, but was serious when he needed to be. As practice came to a close, Aidan sprinted back to his car, sitting inside as he watched the other cars file out of the parking lot one by one. By then, there were only two cars left in the lot besides Aidan's own, and one was his.

Aidan got back out of his car, balancing both ice coffees in one hand while slamming the car door shut with the other. He looked down in disappointment as he swirled the cups in his hands. Most of the ice had already melted, as the heavy condensation collected on the outside of the cup.

Obscured by the darkness of night he set both cups on top of his car as he slid his varsity jacket back on before leaning against the hood of his car. In the distance he heard two distinct voices approaching and quickly looked up.

There he was, the boy, still wearing his uniform and carrying a gym bag slung over his shoulder; he was accompanied by a pretty blond girl that Aidan had never seen before and they appeared to be all too engrossed in their conversation to notice Aidan.

"Who is that?" He heard the girl whisper as he smirked to himself.

"I don't know." replied the boy as their chattering was reduced to only barely audible whispers.

"Wait... isn't that..." Started the blond girl, whose glare was clearly visible even in the darkness.

"SHH!" the boy cut her off, realizing Aidan could likely hear them. As they approached closer to the car, the girl continued to glare defiantly at Aidan while the boy just stared at him in confusion.

"Do you want me to stay?" She whispered, but the boy just shook his head.

"I'll be fine, I'll call you." He mumbled as she passed by, leaving the boy to approach Aidan completely on his own.

"Hi..." Aidan said with a flirty smirk as the boy stared at him blankly with his arms folded across his chest.

"What are you doing here?!" Luca whisper yelled at him angrily.

"I came to see you." Aidan said boldly as he suddenly remembered the coffee. "Here... I got this for you." Aidan flashed him a smile as he held the Starbucks cup out for him.

"Oh... So you assumed just because I'm gay I'd drink an iced coffee regardless of the weather?" Teased Luca with a smirk plastered across his lips.

"I mean... If you don't want it..." Aidan teased back, retracting the cup back towards his body.

"I didn't say I didn't want it..." Luca said playfully, grabbing the cup out of the taller boy's hand. "Thanks..." he said grudgingly as he took a sip and his eyes lit up in awe. "There's french vanilla in this..." Said Luca as his eyes darkened, threateningly stalking towards Aidan. "Who have you been talking to?" He said darkly, cornering him against the car. He may have been smaller than Aidan but he sure was intimidating.

"Arianna told me..." He said as Luca angrily slapped his hand against the car.

"Traitor." Luca muttered under his breath as he diverted his attention back into Aidan's eyes. "I'll deal with her later..."

"Don't get mad at her, I'm the one who went to her for information." Aidan explained. "If it's any consolation she refused to tell me your name." he started as he smiled at how cute the boy in front of him looked when he was angry.

"What are you even doing here anyway?!" Luca spat at Aidan who just stared at him with a lovesick look in his bright blue eyes.

"I told you, I wanted to see you." Aidan replied sweetly.

"Isn't it risky to be here, across enemy lines. Aren't you afraid it'd start trouble?" Luca shot him a quizzical look.

"I wanted to see you, and I wasn't going to let some stupid rivalry get in the way of that." Aidan said seriously as the boy turned to look straight at him, his gaze appearing almost slightly thawed out from the sharp icy daggers they resembled before.

"So... I take it you haven't figured out my name yet?" Luca changed the subject smirking at Aidan, who only shook his head in defeat.

"Didn't think so. You didn't think I'd make it that simple for you, did you?" Luca scoffed at him. "Why are you so pressed about it anyway?" He said as he teasingly walked closer and closer to Aidan "You could always just call me what you called me before?" He continued darkly. Aidan looked at him questioningly as Luca leant in close to the taller boy's ear and whispered darkly, "Faggot."
