The rest of lunch consisted of the entire family asking detailed questions about Aidan, his family, how much he loves Luca; all while shovelling copious amounts of food down his throat. Basically every Sunday at an Italian household. As it so happened, Aidan's Grandma was from the next village over in Sicily, and she came over to New York on the same boat as Nonna and Nonno did. The entire family loved him, much to Luca's delight, and even Gio managed to thaw some of the frigid energy between them.

"Caro (dear) Luca, could I borrow you and your ragazzo (boyfriend) for a minute?" Zio Giorgio said, as Luca nodded and tugged Aidan along into one of the guest rooms. Zio Giorgio was Arianna and Niccolo's Dad, his Zia Isabella's husband. But most people in the county knew him as Giorgio Russo, Sheriff Giorgio Russo.

"I won't beat around the bush boys, and I must say that had you gone the legal route, you could have had those buys thrown in jail for aggravated assault, kidnapping. "Zio Giorgio started as he stood across from Aidan and Luca. "And that other stronzo, pardon my French... or I guess Italian... Anyway, the other kid could have had charges of libel and hate crimes. In a way you got revenge on them without them having a criminal record. They kind of owe you."

"I doubt they'd see it that way though..." Luca chuckled awkwardly.

"So you boys have to come in, I'll question you, which means we'll probably just sit in the interrogation room and talk about the weather." Zio Giorgio said. "You've already basically been cleared because the Border Agencies and your cell phone locations place you clear across the border when all this happened. And I don't know WHAT those cousins of yours did, but that kid's car shows now evidence of tampering."

"Jesus, what did you DO?!" Aidan glared over at Luca.

"Don't say a thing. Not. a SINGLE thing." Zio Giorgio said sternly before cracking a smile. "As the Sheriff, I'd prefer to stay blissfully ignorant."

"Thank you Zio... For everything." Luca said, while Aidan nodded to second him.

"Don't thank me, Thank your Theio Vasilis. I've never seen such a seamless job in all my years on the force. Every CCTV camera was wiped, not a single house shows signs of breaking and entering. He went all out for you caro. But I guess that's what family is for."

The next day at school was back to normal, though Luca and Aidan did both get stares, but mostly out of fear. News had travelled that the boy who called Luca Greco a faggot in front of the entire student body got into a single car collision with a tree and was in the hospital, likely to never play football again. The four boys who kidnapped and beat up Luca Greco had their homes broken into, waking up next to the severed head of a goat and blood poured all over them and all their family's bank statements, credit cards, passports, social security cards, and other important documents all threateningly lined up on their kitchen table as if to taunt them.

News also travelled that Luca and Aidan were both out of the country when all this happened, but that only seemed to unsettle people more. The idea that all this happened without even a shred of evidence was utterly terrifying.

"Alright, Mr. Greco, you may come in now." Zio Giorgio said authoritatively with his usual cold professional demeanor. He led Luca down to a large questioning cell where all four boys were sitting on chairs. They each glared and tensed up as they watched Zio Giorgio, Aidan, and Luca walk in. "I know you boys insisted Luca and Aiden be brought in for questioning, but after checking out their alibi with the Canada Border Services Agency and US Customs and Border Protection, as well as checking their cell phone locations for the past weekend, we cannot see any reason to suspect them. But regardless, Mr. Greco and Mr. Taylor wanted to speak with you to clear any misunderstandings there might be between you."

Zio Giorgio flashed Luca a wink, as the boy nodded back to him, watching his uncle step out of the interrogation room and close the door behind him.

"I heard what happened to you boys." Luca said menacingly as Aidan just glared at them. "I wish I could help you find out who did it. It's terrifying to think that someone could do these things and there wouldn't be a shred of evidence. Horrifying really... But I will say one thing. You reap what you sow..." Luca drawled as all four pairs of eyes shot up to look at him.

"What are you trying to say?" Said the same smug boy who seemed to be the orchestrator of that whole kidnapping scheme.

"Karma... sweetheart." Luca slammed his hand down on the table in the room, causing all four boys to flinch. "But you see, if you are apologetic... Perhaps Karma will cut you some slack. Which is why you're going to walk up to both Aidan and I, apologize, and kiss our shoes."

"Like HELL we're gonna do that." The smug boy scoffed at him.

"Oh..." Luca cocked an eyebrow at them. "Well... I guess Karma will just proceed, won't it."

"What the hell are you trying to say..." One of the other boys said with an arrogant smirk.

"Maybe if you do as we say, perhaps your misery ends with you trying to dispose of a goat's head and using a shit ton of club soda to get the blood stains out of your sheets." Luca said with an evil chuckle. "I would hate for Karma give away copies of your entire family's passports, IDs, credit card info, social security numbers, bank routing numbers, pin numbers... well you get the jist."

"You wouldn't..." One of the boys said in shock.

"You're right. I personally wouldn't because I have no part in this." Luca said with a dark smile. "But Karma might."

"Alright, alright." One of the boys got up slowly, the quietest of the four, and apologized to both of them, getting on his knees and kissing their shoes. Soon enough all four had done it, with looks of annoyance in their eyes, but Luca didn't give a shit.

"Alright boys." Luca said with a  smile. "Pleasure as always." He winked at them devilishly as he interlaced his fingers with Aidan as the both confidently strode out of the Crenshaw County Police Station

That was handled for then, but there was only one stop left before Luca was officially done with his revenge tour, the Crenshaw County General Hospital. Colton was still recovering after Theio Vasilis' men tampered with his brakes, though by the time Crenshaw County Police could examine the car, they had miraculously shown no sign of tampering.

"Hi there, we're here to visit a patient." Luca said with his fake sweet ditsy voice to one of the receptionists. "Colton Thomas."

"He's in room 1666."

"Fitting..." Luca said under his breath.

"Sorry, I didn't catch that?"

"Oh nothing." Luca shook his head confusedly, and rather convincingly he might add. "You said 1666?"

Luca and Aidan made their way to the room, Luca took a deep breath and forced a saccharine smile as he knocked on the door and proceeded into the room. He smiled widely at Colton who glared at him with his neck brace on.

"What the fuck are you doing here?!" Colton seethed at him as Luca smiled even wider.

"We brought you these." Luca took the bouquets of red roses out from Aidan's hands and handed them over to Colton. "We heard what happened to you and we really felt awful."

"Awful." Aidan repeated after Luca as they both fake smiled down at Colton.

"You shouldn't have." Colton flashed a glare at Luca. "Like seriously you shouldn't have."

"It's the least we could have done." Luca said with a  fake concerned voice. "Gio told me that they think that you might never be able to play again, and I thought I'd come check in on you."

"Don't give me that "friendly" bullshit." Colton muttered through gritted teeth. "You hate me and I hate you. I still think you're a fucking slut and I don't regret exposing you for everyone to see."

Luca broke character for a second, as he felt the fiery rage build through his body. He stalked forward as he glared darkly at the boy in the bed, an evil smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.

"So you don't feel any remorse whatsoever?" Luca asked the boy in the hospital bed flatly.

"Not in the slightest." Colton smirked smugly.

"Well that's too bad..." Luca spat coldly at Colton as he leant down and whispered darkly in the blond boy's ear. "Karma's a bitch, Colton. You remember that next time you play a football game... Or... I guess don't play a football game... So next time you try and act like you're hot shit and call someone a faggot, you remember this moment right now. Because karma gave you exactly what you deserve..."

"You did this..." Colton's face shifted from arrogant to mortified. "You cut my brakes."

"I did nothing of the sort." Luca said smugly. "And the Police say your car brakes are very much intact. So don't try and blame me when you're the shitty driver who plowed into a tree."

"I... I'm... Sorry..." Colton stammered shakily.

"No you're not. But it's okay. It's a start." Luca turned around and walked towards the door, in step with Aidan. "Anyway, Colton. I pray that you'll grow up and see just how much of a dickhead you are. But until then, I hope you have a speedy recovery."

Aidan and Luca walked out of the hospital and strolled leisurely towards his car. When they finally sat inside the car Luca let out an irritated groan, which made Aidan chuckle, shaking his head.

"I love you, Luca. But you're TERRIFYING when you're pissed off." Aidan said jokingly.

"Don't say I've never fought for us." Luca said teasingly as he playfully shoved Aidan's shoulder.

"Alright, alright." Aidan said as he cupped Luca's face and gently kissed him on the lips.

"I love you..."

"I love you too." Luca said. "And if you ever break my heart, Aidan Taylor. You remember that I have a giant ethnic family who will all be ready to become accessory to premeditated murder." Luca joked playfully.

"I wouldn't dream of it." Aidan shook his head in amusement, chuckling sweetly as they ironically enough, drove off into the sunset.
