ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  Holding Jesse in my arms after this confrontation felt unlike anything before. I felt more sorrow then when I held Luca in my arms; rocking him to an unsteady death, and more happiness than when I received my Knighthood title at the temple. Some conflicted emotions too. Did the chip really solve my lover's problems? Would we even get off this ship to hold each other again?

"Darling, I don't think we can hide out in the Medbay forever," Jesse whispered, pulling me up to stand by his side, "We need a plan, and soon."

The ARC Trooper was right. They already got Luca, and who's to say we aren't next? I assume since Jesse is helping me now, he is marked for treason as well, and will be in just as much danger as myself and my old Padawan.

I blinked away a set of both tears and sweat from my eyes, and snatched my lightsaber and force-pulled Luca's discarded lightsaber; attaching it to my back, "We will have to cut through them, unless you have a better idea."

Jesse didn't respond. He just pulled his guns out of the holsters, and gnashes his teeth, "I love my brothers, but I love you just as much. My brothers aren't in their right mind, and they'll do anything in their power to tear us down and kill us both! I won't let that happen."

I have heard Jesse say he loves me before, but with the situation at hand, it really felt powerful and true now. I grabbed his shoulders and softly pressed my lips against his; all chapped up from working. It was my favorite sensation however; his beautiful, chapped lips, "For luck, my dear," I smiled, leaning my forehead against his, "And in case this is our last day. I needed this."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  "Don't talk like that, (Y/N)," he whispered, lifting his chin up to kiss my forehead, "You are a capable Jedi. You've lead us through countless battles. You're fearless, strong, and you're worth fighting for. I will die before I let a single blaster bolt hit you."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  I smiled and kissed his lips once more, feeling confident, "Same goes for you, Lieutenant."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  Jesse prided himself in his new, promoted position. Lieutenant Jesse. It sounded nice, and it could give us some leverage.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  There's no way all the Clones knew of Jesse's antics by my side, and my boyfriend and I could formulate some plan before we confronted them, "Jesse," I started, removing myself from his arms, "Enough talk of sacrifices. We need a plan, and you're the star."

"Yippee," he replied sarcastically, "What are you thinking?"

I removed my lightsaber, as well as Luca's lightsaber and handed them to him, "Take me as a prisoner. We might be able to catch the other Clones off guard, because some still believe you're under the control of Order 66. Commander Rex will likely command my death regardless, and once that happens, we're already two steps ahead of them. We hop on a ship and get the hell out of here."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "That's risky, (Y/N)," he replied, bouncing your sacred blade in his hand. He was likely honored to even hold the lightsaber, "But it's our only chance of getting us both out of here, alive. I'm willing to sacrifice it all."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  I twirled my fingers through his and nodded, "As am I, my love."

As those words left my mouth, Jesse unattached his handcuffs from his belt, and slipped them around my wrists. He left them loose for me, so when the time came, I could slip out and fight for our lives. I inhaled deeply, then began a silent meditation for myself. It was mainly to calm my unsteady anxieties, but also, the force works in mysterious ways. This could be very beneficial.

Jesse noticed my familiar antics, and didn't speak to me anymore. He let me focus on the task at hand. He slowly rose his gloved-hand up to the control panel for the medbay door. As he slowly pressed the release buttons, I felt calm and at peace. We may be exposed, but this faรงade will treat us well.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  The atmosphere from outside of the medbay was terrible. The Clones' anger levels rose by just looking at me. There weren't many around however. The ones who did surround us were called down by Jesse,

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  "We will bring this Jedi in for proper execution from Commander Rex. Any disagreement?" Jesse growled, sounding like his old self; very assertive and easily knew his place in the army of the Republic. Of course, no Clones disputed his wishes, and we began the long walk to wherever Rex was staying. It made me sad to think that Rex of all Clones was assigned my execution. He's been my best friend since I was a Padawan.

"Commander Rex's commands were to kill all Jedi on sight," a Clone by the name of Appo whispered to one of his brothers, "We should just gun the Jedi down and face consequences later."

I eyed Jesse, but he remained calm, even with that barbaric comment. He was a good actor. A thought came to my mind at this moment; what if all Jesse has ever done during the war was put on this little act that he was never scared of anything. I never even asked him about anything regarding the war or his brothers because I had never seen him act upon his feelings. Once we have escaped, I'm going to listen for once. Jesse needs to be heard.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  We had an escort of around 5 Clones, not including Jesse. The brain-washed Clones. The Clones who have marked my young Padawan and I for treason. The Clones who had no idea what momentous deal this was.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  Lieutenant Appo stepped forward and locked his arms behind his back, walking in synch with Jesse, "How did you catch her?" he questioned in a whisper so the other Clones wouldn't gain interest, "She evaded us with such ease. And, where is the traitor, Commander Luca?"

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  "Luca is dead by my hand," my boyfriend replied, pulling his old lightsaber out to show it off to Appo, "He sacrificed himself for his Master. It was all in vein."

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  "Congratulations," Appo replied, almost let down by the fact that he couldn't kill the young Trandoshan himself. The only reason my anger didn't spike at the young Clone's comment was because I was so focused on my meditations and keeping calm. I am one with the force, and the force is with me... "I'm sure Lord Sidious will reward your bravery."

"Don't think of such foolish things like compliments, Appo," my boyfriend replied, unimpressed, "Our brothers are out right now doing far more impressive things than killing a half-trained apprentice. Our brothers on Felucia and Mygeeto are targeting the best Jedi in the galaxy at this very moment. Keep your head in the game, Lieutenant, and don't make a dumb comment like that again."

Jesse was warning me with this statement. Master Ki-Adi-Mundi was on Mygeeto, pushing back a small Separatist blockade, while Master Secura was on Felucia, securing some supplies offered by the locals. All the Jedi have been affected by this Order 66! This affected my meditation exponentially, and I felt sick to my stomach.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  No one else spoke the rest of the trip to Commander Rex. They were leading me to the docking port of the ship, which is what Jesse and I both expected. The reasoning for this, is so the Clones can dispose of my body quickly after they take my life. Just throw me into space. It's terrible, but expected. This is what we needed though; the Clones to not anticipate Jesse's betrayal, then we escape as determined war criminals. I don't know how we will survive after the escape, but we will figure it out. We always do.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  I sensed Rex's presence as we approached the docking bay. What seemed like the entirety of the 501st battalion inhabited that small room. I felt Jesse tense up a little bit, but shake it off, and continue with the plan. It really was too late to go back, so now, we have to fight like hell for everyone we have lost, and everything we have to live for!

Commander Rex stood in the middle of all the Clones. His hands were wrapped behind his back; his blasters holstered, "(Y/N) (L/N). You have been marked for treason against the Republic. You must be terminated immediately. Do you have any last words?"

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  "Yeah, I do," I replied, straightening up and glancing over at Jesse, "What is about to happen, just know, I forgive all of you. Luca would forgive you as well." I threw that at Jesse. I knew he felt bad, but there was nothing he could do to prevent the murder. I know both myself and my Padawan understand this.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  Rex pulled his guns out without replying. All the rest of the Clones responded exactly the same; pulling out there weapons in case I tried something. Little did they know, their Lieutenant was a traitor too,

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  "Jesse! Now!" I shouted, forcing my way out of the loose cuffs and extending my hand in his direction; my lightsaber forcing its way through the crowd and into my grasp. The next few moments felt like a fever dream.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  I unsheathed my lightsaber and began slicing through multiple Clones in the 501st battalion; shock rising through the crowd. Then the reaction time. Jesse leaped behind me, and we worked like clockwork. He covered me with frenzies of blaster bolts, and I protected him with my life to make sure he didn't get hit.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  The Clones just kept coming and coming nonstop. I was beginning to sweat, and I could hear Jesse quietly panting from behind me. This just fueled me more,

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  "Jesse! Go!" I shouted, shoving back the next wave of 501st soldiers back with my force abilities, giving us a chance to run towards the closest ship, which happened to be the perfect size for us to escape; a small ship, fast, and had enough seats. It also wouldn't be taken down by Commander Rex's Clones, who would be undoubtedly still be shooting at us.

Jesse took off in the direction of the ship. I couldn't see his face because of his helmet, but I can imagine what his expressions are. I imagine fear, desperation, and regret. The Clones were beginning to rebound after my force push, so I shoved my boyfriend frantically towards the vessel, hoping he'd make it. To my surprise, I formulated enough power to get him on top of the ship, which helped him quickly slip inside and power it up.

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย  I was getting outnumbered, and fast. My lightsaber wasn't holding up to the expectations I had. I had no choice but to use Luca's double-bladed lightsaber for extra support.

It helped for the time I used it while Jesse got the ship powered up and moving. I was blocking double the bolts I was originally, and sending them back at the Clones. Finally, I heard the distant voice of Jesse calling for my attention. The ship was levitating above the ground, and he was waving for me to jump in so we could escape,

"Focus all your fire on that ship!" Commander Rex growled, unleashing a frenzy of bolts in Jesse's direction, "Don't let them escape or we will all face the consequences!"

I didn't understand what Rex meant by consequences, but I wasn't planning on sticking around to find out! Jesse and I weren't going down now, that enough was evident, and Rex knew it too. I just hope whatever the consequences lay in the path of these 501st soldiers isn't too bad. As I said before, they don't know what they're doing. They're just simply following orders, and a good soldier always follows orders.

I had successfully made it on Jesse's ship and sighed; slumping into my seat and letting my boyfriend drive. I was so drained of everything. Energy. Mental aptitude. I was also confused. Now wasn't the time to ask questions, however. Now was the time to run and start a new life,

"I'm... I'm so sorry, (Y/N)," Jesse whispered, laying his hand on mine as he began calming down; pulling his helmet off with the other, "What I have done today is unforgivable. I won't blame me if you wish to go separate ways after we land. The death of your Padawan was my fault, and you deserve so much better."

I brought his gloved hand to my lips and kissed it softly, "I'm not going anywhere, Jesse, and neither are you. What happened to Luca was unfortunate, but we keep going. Luca lives on through the force, as will I when it's my time to go. He's fulfilled his duties as a Jedi, and I'm proud of the sacrifice he made. He brought us back together, and he will never be forgotten."

Jesse nodded silently and continued driving on; the Jedi cruiser slowly becoming a dot in the distance. My love for Jesse has only grown through this patch, and it will continue growing. He's the reason I'm still alive, and that isn't changing anytime soon. Not even this new Dark Lord can change that.
